Subway stations and bus lines are a few blocks away, but walking is definitely the best way to discover Montreal.
St-Laurent Boulevard is only five minutes away, with all its trendy boutiques and classy restaurants. It's also the heart of the city's nightlife, and on any day of the week, people come from all over to enjoy the clubs, terraces, pubs, and bars. A favorite hangout of Hollywood stars and local celebrities, there's never a shortage of action here.
A short walk in the other direction will get you to Rue St-Denis, the center of French culture. Here you will find the bistros, cafés and boutiques that really make Montreal so special. Mont-Royal Park, Montreal's own Central Park, is just up the street. Every Sunday, thousands of montrealers gather at the base of the mountain to enjoy the sun, play music, or sell crafts. Finally, 15 minutes will get you to Downtown, Old Montreal, Chinatown, or the Village. Grand-Prix, Place des Arts, Jazz Fest, Just for Laughs, are all just minutes away.
Finally, at Little Garden Apartment, we are committed to reducing our business' environmental footprint. During our renovations in 2008, we followed green building practices. Paints and finishes are low-VOC, the kitchen is made from reclaimed lumber and the apartment is energy-efficient. All linens and towels are 100% cotton or wool. All the cleaning and maintenance products we use are planet-friendly and biodegradable.

Highly recommended. The apartment is even prettier than it looks in the photos, and the location is perfect -- short walk to wonderful shops and restaurants. Only drawback for us was lack of air conditioning, but it was particularly hot the week we were in Montreal.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

This apartment was fantastic. Everything you could really need. Very reasonable in price considering the size and location. Perfectly located 3 blocks in either direction to two main streets which provide entertainment, restaurants, and shopping. Close to Mont Royal a nice escape from the city. We stayed for 7 nights in total and will consider staying again next year during our conference again. The owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend staying here! Also, Bixi bike stand on the doorstep which was amazing :)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Wonderful apartment on a beautiful street, close to so many restaurants and stores. Great decor, so nice having washer/dryer/computer, especially for our family of 5. A real gem!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: Carmel & Aaron... We bought our typical Monrtéal duplex in 2007 and immediately knew we wanted to convert the upstairs rental into a vacation apartment. We discovered very quickly after opening for business that we truly enjoyed helping people get the most out of their Montréal experience. We believe that travel is one of the most pleasurable things in life, and our goal is to make sure all our guests leave happy and satisfied with their trip.
Why the Owner Chose Montreal:
We bought this house primarily to live in it... The second floor we turned into a vacation rental was icing on the cake! We chose to live here for the exceptional quality of life, for the dynamic and exciting neighborhood. If we were tourists in Montréal, this is where we would want to stay!

Location, location, location... At the risk of sounding cliché, we believe that our location is our greatest asset. Guests get the best of both worlds: they are within walking distance of everything tourists want to see and discover, but they also get to experience real Montréal life for a few days. The pocket where we live is nestled between to of the city's most popular streets, but offers charming cafés and stores usually frequented by locals only. Of course, we also offer what we believe is one of the best vacation rentals around, and top-notch customer service. We live right downstairs, so it's especially important to us to know that guests are getting everything they wanted from their trip to Montréal...
