This home provides an ideal escape for vacationers and a quiet working atmosphere for those on business. Located near both the Colorado and the Yale stations of the Southeast Lightrail, you have fast and easy access to downtown and the Denver Tech Center. Many shopping and fitness conveniences are a short walk away, and it's even closer to tennis and swimming at nearby Eisenhower Park.
The charm of this early fifties vintage home, coupled with it's updated conveniences, give it an irresistible appeal. Classic and understated touches throughout the home remind you of the natural beauty that is so abundant outside your door. The home sits on a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood street, just 10 houses north of a beautiful public golf course. The large, fenced backyard is ideal for cookouts and child's play.
The bedrooms are outfitted with high-quality linens and plush pillows. Each has a dresser and a closet for ample storage space.
The kitchen is an efficient layout and equipped with all the conveniences you'd expect: a dishwasher, microwave, and gas stove. There are stainless steel pots and pans, dishes and flatware for eight.
The living room boasts a large LCD TV with cable and On-Demand, a stereo system and a DVD player. There are a few DVDs in the home that you are welcome to view, or you can choose one of the hundreds on FREE On-Demand movies that are available to watch.
If you bring your own laptop with wireless capabilities, our WIFi works great on the porch or in the backyard. There is also a full sized laundry room downstairs with a front loading washer and dryer. Should you need to press your clothes, the ironing board and iron are located there, along with supplies to run a load.
When you are lured outside by Colorado's great weather, you'll find a gas grill and table and chairs in the backyard. Beyond that, the public golf course, tennis courts, walking and running trails through natural areas, a YMCA and 24 Hour Fitness are all so close you can leave the car in the garage.
Back at your Colorado cottage, sit back and gaze at the dappled green of the old maple in the backyard while you enjoy Denver's cool summer evenings, or enjoy the colors of the fall when the air turns crisp. Your tranquility will be complete when you snuggle into those soft sheets and slip into restful sleep.

Why the Owner Chose Denver
Because Jeanette has lived in this neighborhood for so many years, we knew it was a solid investment. We liked Jackson House the moment we saw it. The location is ideal for active families and quiet vacationers. The proximity of local restaurants, conveniences, and access to downtown and the Tech Center via freeways and Light Rail makes the home's location particularly attractive. It is a functional floorplan, making wise use of the square footage. The great surprise was what a terrific neighborhood community it turned out to be.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Brian and Kathy stay at the house each year and their children enjoy the fenced, grassy yard and the Legos in the basement, as well as the many children's books kept at the home. Kathy appreciates the kitchen and the On-Demand feature from Comcast, while Brian doesn't get to enjoy the house. He only works on it.
This shopping center has everything you need and many things you just want. Starbucks, Einstein's bagels, cleaners, liquor store, Pier One and so on.
Playground, tennis courts, swimming pool, and a walking/running trail that goes for many miles starts here.
From this stop on the light rail, you can reach downtown in 20 minutes, or go the Tech Center south of here in 10. Downtown stops include the Convention Center, Pepsi Center, Coors Field, Mile High Stadium, Children's museum and more.
A wonderful new children's playground is located here. Across the street is the Observatory that was built around the turn of the last century, and many houses in the neighborhood belonged to professors at DU 100 years ago.
This public course started out as a private one and is enjoyed year round.

Jeanette and Kathy, along with Kathy's husband, Brian purchased the Jackson House in 2008 in order to provide a cool retreat for Kathy and Brian's family, who are from the Phoenix area. Jeanette has lived in the Wellshire neighborhood for more than 30 years and she is a licensed acupuncturist. Kathy and Brian are high school teachers in Phoenix, which gives them some time in the summer to enjoy Denver.

We were lucky enough to spend 3 wonderful nights in this immaculate home. The home was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The furnishings and decor seemed brand new. The owner was accommodating and responsive. We found the location to be convenient and quiet. Everything we needed was nearby. We could not have been happier with choosing this VRBO rental. What a wonderful experience! I had never rented a house through VRBO and was a bit concerned that I would regret giving it a try. It was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. Jeanette is a dream to work with. I called her to discuss my family's needs (we are a 3 generation household) and she answered every question. The house is much cuter than the photos show and quite clean and fresh smelling. It is also very comfortable and everything is user friendly from the appliances to the shower. Also, I would like to give major points for the towels. It may not seem like a big deal, but it is nice to get out of the shower and wrap up in a big, plush spa style towel. As if all of that wasn't enough, my security deposit was back in my account before I even got on the plane to go home. This will be our home in Denver!

Our Labor Day Weekend stay at the Jackson House allowed us to be in comfortable surroundings while traveling down memory lane with our mom. Our family left the Denver/Boulder area about 40 years ago. My mom has wanted to revisit our former homes and favorite sites. Staying at the Jackson House was very convenient to all the sites we wanted to see and very comfortable, clean and homey. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and conveniently located to shopping, downtown and freeways. The owner Jeanette was very easy to talk to and I wouldn't hesitate to rent the home again if we find ourselves needing a place to stay while in the Denver area.

The Jackson home was just that, our home away from home. The location was central to everywhere we needed to be for our daughters wedding. The home was very clean, met all our needs, was very comfortable and we felt very welcomed. Jeanette made sure we were well taken care of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay while we visited with our family. We hope to return again in the near future.

Jeanette, the owner, was so accommodating and personable that even though I had to cancel last minute due to extenuating circumstances, I felt obliged to provide a quick snippet of the wonderful service I received from the owners. Not only were the owners completely willing to accommodate an evolving group of people in my party, but they refunded my money without hesitation when I was forced to cancel my stay. I truly believe it's people such as Jeanette that make stays away from home that much more enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend this southeast Denver home for anyone coming from near or far. Thank you for such a positive experience, and the next time I need a place in Denver, you'll be the first people I call.

I had the opportunity to spend a long weekend at this property. It is an extremely well maintained house in a great location. It's on a quiet street in a good neighborhood with excellent access to I25 and the light rail. It's very cozy and with two living areas it seemed spacious as well. The kitchen was well stocked and gave the at home feeling. The bedrooms and beds were quite comfortable. We didn't use the backyard due to the snow, but it's on the east side of the house so very useable in the evenings. I would highly recommend this property for a short or extended stay in the Denver area.

The Jackson House was perfect for my 5 night stay. This home is decorated very nicely and I felt right at home the minute I walked in the front door. A nice collection of antiques and newer pieces makes you feel like you're staying in friends home. ( A neat friend with good taste !) The home is very clean and has everything you need to make yourself comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were warm and inviting. The location is perfect. There is easy access to all the fun Denver has to offer and yet you're in a quiet neighborhood. Jeanette was the perfect host and made me feel like a long lost friend that she was happy to see !! I can't wait to return.

We stayed at the Jackson house for the holidays, and were very pleased with the home. I loved the well equiped kitchen and everybody enjoyed the WiFi !! The location is great with convenience stores nearby and easy access to freeways.
