Before I go into detail about our history, what makes us different from some other VRBO's is that we a little more like a B&B. If you look at our reviews you may find that I like to host. I will help you find all that you need. I am available 24 hours a day by cell. There are materials in your suite to help you find your way around. Moving here? I will bring your relocation information and even have realtor friends to help. Catering? We are here. Just ask and we can help.
This unique, historical home was built by Harvey Firestone, Jr. in 1929 with additional extensions in 1979. It has also been home to a state senator. Your living room, furnished with beautiful antiques, is part of the original structure with the bedroom and bathroom adjacent. The bedroom overlooks a patio the garden fountain beckoning you deeper into the backyard with an organic garden.
The historic Firestone Home is a short walk to the bus line, and two blocks from a large park with seasonal outdoor swimming, tennis courts, and covered pavilion picnicking. Only 3 miles from downtown or 7-10 minutes. You can even bicycle or take a long walk through West Asheville. We are also 7 or so minutes from the Biltmore Estate. A bike ride, bus ride or car ride away.
A short drive to the main streets of West Asheville with library, churches, shopping, wonderful restaurants, and entertainment. We are home to Beer City U.S.A. Finest breweries in America also some of which are almost waling distance. Asheville is President Obama's new vacation spot. Convenient to everything Asheville has to offer, but located in a stately, side walked residential area. Let the historic Firestone Home be your luxurious home away from home!
See our seasonal rate changes. We also frequently have special discounts so check back. And returning guests receive 15% off all visits.
Phone calls preferred. (We respond to most queries within 24 hours!)

My husband and I love Asheville and try to visit a few times each year. This year we wanted to go while the leaves were changing. Firestone House was the perfect place to stay. It's a VERY short drive to mountains, downtown Asheville, the Arboretum, Blue Ridge Parkway and more. It's also located in a lovely neighborhood. Jenna, our host, offered terrific ideas for restaurants and adventures. We will definitely stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I stayed here for a month while my family and I were moving to Asheville. It is a great house and Jenna is awesome. The location is nice and close to west Asheville restaurants and pubs. The weather was great and the neighborhood is perfect to take an afternoon walk. I highly recommend staying here. Enjoyed it very much.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the Labor Day weekend. Jenna was so helpful in responding, and providing recommendations. There were many "extras" including organic coffee and creamer, and lots of information about things to do in the area. We enjoyed getting to know the delightful West Asheville area, and could get into the downtown area very easily. If you are considering a visit, you are in for a real treat!Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Firestone House is very comfortable and very unlike commercial hotel chains that we have used before. The furnishings are just delightful, as is the neighborhood, and the hostess is definitely the one with the "mostest"! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Asheville and all of her recommendations for eating places and activities were 5-star! There's a wide, eclectic variety of DVDs that we enjoyed as well, and we're going to buy our own set of Martha Stewart "everyday" bed pillows after using those at Firestone House. We will definitely be back and are hopeful that Firestone House will be available.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your smashing review! We can't wait to have you back next month. We are thrilled your stay was as wonderful as it was having you as guests. The extra bonus for us was how fastidious in your care of our home. Thank you for treating it more than well and pristine.

Beautiful accommodations---fantastic living room in which to read, watch TV, eat, hang out and separate large bedroom/kitchenette/bathroom. We loved the huge shower stall. It's a wonderful suite with very attentive owners. Great location---close to stores and right off main road that leads to West Asheville and Asheville. Biking distance to Asheville. Despite being close to main road, extremely quiet---no traffic noise was heard and we slept soundly.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
