This was our second stay at the Firestone House. It feels like home and is cozy, comfortable and convenient to downtown Asheville. We attended the LEAF (Lake Eden Arts Festival) and I didn't want to camp, so we returned to Jenna's lovely place and spent three relaxing nights. It is a great value given the amenities and the convenience factors. We highly recommend it!
Owner response:Thank you so much Scottie and Roger for thinking of us and posting a review online so soon after your stay. Just a reminder that you receive a 15% discount the next time you stay. Thanks for choosing our home to stay again during your Asheville vacation. We were delighted to have you back. Make you reservations even earlier for LEAF next year! Hope to see you then! Maybe I'll even see you for the music next year. Jenna

We really enjoyed Jenna's hospitality and all the information she provided in her notebook (call it "The Guide to Asheville"). Biltmore was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the restaurants and the River Art District. The nature center was really neat, as was driving through Pisgah National Forest ... Lookinglass Falls was very pretty. You must check out Tupelo Honey Cafe, Jerusalem Cafe, and even the Book Exchange (wine in a library = very cool). The location was great and made downtown Asheville just minutes away!
Owner response:Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We enjoyed having you and do hope you'll return. Don't forget about your 15% return guest discount! The restaurants you mentioned are some of my favorites also. And I have never seen anything like the Book Exchange. Truly a maze of collectable books, a haven to hide away, and a place to lounge with another or alone with a drink in hand. You are right; our location is perfect and minutes from downtown. The best of West and Center.

Our stay at the Historic Firestone House was a pure pleasure. It was located a short distance from the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville. The furnishings were plush and yet practical all of which made for a memorable stay. We are planning a return in the Spring.
Owner response:Thank you so much Cecil for taking the time to tell others about The Firestone House. I can't wait for you and Susan to return in the spring! Don't forget about your 15% discount on all of your future visits. Tell your friends so that they also can take advantage of our discount rate. For you this also applies to holidays! Thank you again for caring for our home. Sincerely yours, Jenna and M.C.

The Firestone House was perfect for our party of two. We had plenty of privacy and yet it felt like we were guests staying in someone's home. The owner, Jenna, was available if we needed her, but we only saw her when we arrived and when we left. The suite is perfect for a couple. We did eat breakfast in both days and had dinner in one of the two nights. There is an EarthFare just down the road which had all kinds of prepared foods. The queen bed was very comfortable and we slept great. The only down side, if any, was that there is no sink in the kitchenette area. Although the bathroom is next to it, so we could get water for coffee or tea there. Jenna has also provided a wash basin to wash dishes. There is a cooking unit with two buners which was slow to heat, but it did work. The microwave was very handy and the lovely dining table in the living room was very nice. I also appreciated the wifi access! We will definitely stay here again. It met our needs perfectly. Thanks, Jenna!

Very nice home in a quiet neighborhood in West Asheville. Downtown is just about ten minutes away and the shops on Haywood are just a few blocks away. This is my second visit to Firestone and I will return.
Owner response:Thank you so much Lynn for taking the time to write such a kind review. We also appreciate the condition in which you left the suite. We would like to offer you a free night during your next stay in Asheville. Please don't forget to tell your friends that they now can receive 15% discount when they mention your name. Most Sincerely, Jenna and M.C. The Historic Firestone House

We thoroughly enjoyed Asheville as well as your lovely home. Each new restaurant seemed to top the the previous and the views were beautiful. We especially loved the Lexington Ave. Brewery and Zamba. Tupelo Honey is a must! Thank you for being a great hostess and the accommodations are one-of-a-kind! We hope to make it back to see The Biltmore at Christmas-time! Thanks again,

Thank you so much for having us and making us feel so at home! You didn't miss a single detail; you even had instructions for the coffeepot which was very helpful in grinding the fresh organic beans which you provided! Thank you for being such a sweetheart. See you next time. Jenny and Tom

Scott and I enjoyed our stay. Our house is as beautiful in person as we hoped. Your thoughtfulness as a hostess was easily noticed and appreciated. The fresh froses, sparkling juice for Valentine's Day as well as Andew Mints with bedside water glasses, the choices of tea and coffee, complimentary waters... were all wonderful personal touches. We will definately come back to Asheville. It was certainly a home away from home. Best wishes... Feb. 14th 2009

Your place is lovely and you thought of everything a guest might need. We appreciate all of the little touches; fresh flowers were especially appealing. Your restaurant recommendations were top notch especially Sunny Point and Nona Mia. We enjoyed everything being here and hope to return. Thank you for leaving us the real estate news to help us in our search for a home here.

Such a great place at a great price. Asheville is a super place including all the surrounding places. The hot tub was a welcome after hiking. 12 Bones and Early Girl Eatery were most delicious! Sunday night at Jack of the Wood was great Irish music.

Thanks for the gracious and comfortable place to stay. We highly recommend the self guided walking tour of Asheville. There is no better place to eat lunch than Heiwa Shokudo on Lexington. ( Art emailed back to find out what brand of mattress, pillows, and pillow covers we have)!
