Totally private, sprawling, one level Mid-Century Modern three bedroom two bath home, on two woodsy beautifully landscaped acres. You can’t see any neighbors - its like being in the country, yet minutes to the heart of town. Totally quiet and peaceful, a bird lovers paradise.
Big living room with Terrazzo floors, flat screen TV with Bose sound, cable tv and DVD system and a wall of glass looking out on big deck with lounge chairs and a dining table and chairs with umbrella. Huge yard, mature gardens full of 50 year old azaleas, camellias, magnolias and other lush southern plants, surrounded by pine forest. Enormous fireplace. Formal dining room seats eight, looking out on separate patio with gas grill. Big all new fully equipped kitchen including gas cook top and two electric ovens, microwave, refrigerator and ice maker. Three bedrooms, one with an excellent queen bed, the other with two excellent twin beds separated by full bath with combination tub and shower and dual sinks. The third bedroom with quality queen bed with adjoining full bath with shower. Three Queen size air mattresses and a foam mattress pallet for additional guests.
Top of the Hill is a unique, fun property located minutes to Broad Street, (the main street of Southern Pines) where there are many excellent restaurants and shops, and ten minutes to the center of Pinehurst Village.
This is my personal vacation home, much better equipped and furnished than typical rental houses.

Why the Owner Chose Southern Pines
While most people are drawn to Moore County for the golf, I fell in love with Southern Pines because of its unique charm. Southern pines is a real small town, with a unique history as a resort town founded after the Civil War and marketed to Northerners. Rolling hills, horse country, wonderful old resort houses, a thriving main street, and beautiful landscaping all drew me.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I love just being at my house and enjoying the gardens, the birds, the peace and quiet. In five minutes I can be at a number of very good restaurants along Broad Street, and can get whatever I need easily. There are great places to walk all around, and interesting and quirky things to do. Pinehurst and the resort are ten minutes away.
