As Maui residents, my wife and I can truly say there is no better place to live or vacation than Maui Banyan. We bought our condo with a long term goal in mind... retirement later but fun now. We shopped countless others all over Maui until finding the Banyan. Once we did we waited until the perfect condo was available.
A few points of interest in the event you decide to live in our home for a few days while we are away. We are literally less than 90 feet from Kamaole Beach 2, (which is one of the few beaches in Maui with a lifeguard), a four minute walk to the tennis court, a three minute walk to one of the private pools, (the other is about a six min walk) and a five minute walk to the gardens. When you leave the complex great dining and local shopping is just about a five to ten min walk down S. Kihei road (which is along the ocean). By car, the hotels and Shops of Wailea (the Beverly Hills of Maui) are just a short eight minute drive away.

This was a very well maintained unit and is within walking distance to all kinds of activities and shops in Kehei. We would stay here again. I would recommend this unit. Beach right across the street and great restaurants and shopping within walking distance also.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

How do you like my title-- it really sums it up. Right across from the beach but on the second floor so you get a breeze. It was perfect for us to hang out, at the pool or come back and crash after the beach. Also there is a beach park and shops and restaurants to walk to if you want. Not a party --spring break type of place though, more for adults or families.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Island delight. Truly the best way to describe this comfortable studio apartment. A terrific location for true Maui living. It was beach day every day with the best beach on the island right across the street! Ronda and Jacque thought of everything! Snorkel gear, beach towels, umbrellas and chairs were all there for our leisure. The vaulted ceiling added to the comfortable size of this studio, not to mention the lovely bathroom, kitchenette and air conditioning. The WiFi and extensive cable network (a givin must for todays traveler) helped us to unwind from our day's adventures. Checking in was a breeze (key locked worked perfectly) and the Perwins personal attention could not be understated. We felt like Ronda was our personal island concierge whose knowledge of the best eateries and attractions were stellar. I am so pleased we chose the Perwin listing for our Maui vacation. this is the perfect place for a nice getaway. if you're looking for a place that is clean, comfortable and convenient....head down to kihei! forget the overcrowded hotels and live like a local. the studio has everything you need - including a lanai with seating for 2. the beach is literally across the street. walk to the sandwich shop first to pick up a bite and enjoy it on the sand. i've stayed in numerous hotels and rentals - trust me when i tell you there is no better deal than this studio. you'll love it and the owners as well!Did you find this review helpful? We didn't think we could get so much for so little in Maui. Spectacular location and the neat efficient "kitchen area" more than took care of anytime snacks, cold drinks, coffee, & microwaved leftovers. We've stayed there before and we will be back. Can't beat having the beach right across the street. Love it all.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Maui Banyan studio vrbo. The room was perfect for the two of us. We had a little kitchenette that allowed us to eat in when we wanted to and a beautiful kingsize bed that was very comfortable after a full day of exploring the island. At night, the soothing sounds of the ocean lulled us to sleep. The location is right in the middle of great shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. The room also includes boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs and mats which made beach time very fun and enjoyable. The owners Ronda and Jacques were wonderful to deal with, and extremely accomodating. Thank you to both of you for making our vacation unforgettable!! We will definitely be back! My girlfriend and I spent a week in Maui here for her birthday. The location was ideal as it was right across the street from Kamaole Beach II and near a few restaurants and stores and the rental had snorkel and beach gear. However, the biggest plus was the owners. When we arrived, the microwave was not working. However, the owners were very quick to resolve the issue and have a repairman fix the issue promptly. What could have turned out to be a problem was resolved very quickly and the rest of our vacation went very well! Jacques and Rhonda were great! I would definitely rent from them again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This was a great place to stay. It was clean, so close to the beach, some water toys such as body boards were available. The fridge and mini kitchenette was perfect to keep some treats in.
