Kihei Surfside complex is located on the oceanside of south Kihei Rd. at the southern most end of Kihei; just before the beautiful Wailea community. Our unit #405 has a gorgeous oceanfront unobstructed view of Maui's south shore, West Maui mountain and the island of Lanai. In the winter months, there are frequent humpback whale sightings from our property. The Pacific Whale Foundation uses this location to do an annual whale count.
Just steps away from our complex is the start of one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on south Maui shore, Keawakapu Beach. Here you can enjoy many beach activities including swimming, boogie boarding and snorkeling where you might meet our favorite turtle, Sebastian, along with his other turtle friends, all our elusive eels, the many variety of fish and enjoy the beautiful coral reefs. You can walk or jog for a mile on this pristine sandy beach where you can admire multi-million dollar private homes and views of the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe.
Our 4th floor unit affords you all the conveniences of home. Over the past few years we have completely renovated the unit. In the living/dining room, you will find 40" Samsung LED TV with cable service and a Panasonic Blu-ray player, complimentary high speed wireless Internet, and complimentary long distance telephone service to other parts of Hawaii, the Mainland, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Since we usually stay in our unit for 2 months every year, and we do a lot of cooking, our unit has a fully equipped very practical kitchen. The bedroom has a wonderful king size bed with terrific reading lights, well stocked quality linens including beach towels and ample storage. The adjacent master bath has a step-in tiled shower stall with wall mounted shower head and a handheld shower option. Our unit is a no smoking unit, including the lanai, and it accommodates only 2 people as there is no sofa bed or provisions for additional sleeping arrangements.
The Kihei Surfside complex is known for its gorgeous expanse of lawn, wonderful gas barbecues, picnic tables, shuffle board, and a beautiful oceanfront swimming pool. Sunsets are truly a "happening' where often times you might share in the traditional Hawaiian ritual of blowing the conch shell to celebrate the close of another beautiful day on Maui, at the Kihei Surfside and in our Unit #405.

Why the Owner Chose Kihei Surfside
We first stayed at the Kihei Surfside in 1982. On our second visit in 1983, we decided that owning a small piece of tropical paradise at the Kihei Surfside would allow us the opportunity to create a special home away from home and then to share this beauty with others.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
We return to our unit at the Kiehi Surfside every year. During our stay, we manage to combine work with pleasure. Every year we do our deep clean, refurbish our unit, upgrade as needed, and add amenities we feel our guests would enjoy. Our favorite morning routine is to get out into that beautiful warm ocean for our daily exercise be it swimming or snorkeling. Our very favorite evening pleasure is to sit out on our lanai, enjoy a nice dinner and watch the sun set over yet another beautiful day in paradise.

We are both originally from Minnesota, but now live in California. We love the coastal beauty and found Maui to be the answer to the warm soft tropical breezes that have renewed our energies year after year.

We had a wonderful time! The view is breathtaking and this resort is so quiet with a nice family atmosphere. One of our favorite days was an Upcountry trip...breakfast at Kula Lodge, visit to the Lavendar Farm, visit to the winery and then an early dinner at Mama's Fish House. Thank you for renting to us.

We have had a lovely stay in 405 and have wanted for nothing. You have supplied your home away from home with everything guests would need. I fell in love with the watercolor paintings in the bedroom which were done by your friend; just lovely. We have been coming to Maui for many years, but went Upcountry to the winery for the first time this visit as well as Makawao. What a great day that was. Thank you for renting your condo to us. Thank you so much for the opportunity to rent #405 again this year. A romantic get-away from Minnesota cold was perfect. We love your unit and it's perfection. Your new stove with the glass top is lovely and so are the wonderful pots and pans. You are so well equipped, and we love every second of the ocean, the whales breeching out front and the sunsets on the lawn. We gave both conch shells a workout as we joined in the daily sunset activities. Each year we find our friendships grow stronger; it is hard to leave, but exciting to think of our return next year.
