Very private large home, with CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING, close to everthing!!!

This house has only the week of August 29th left for this summer season. This house is a beautiful home, very private, close to everything, has central air conditioning and is suitable for two families or four couples.

Lovely home located in exclusive NORTH CHATHAM on a quaint gravel lane that leads to a neighborhood beach (semi-private). Large home (2400 sq.ft.) with lots of indoor and outdoor living space. Bright and airy, open floor plan. The sun shines in but the house stays cool since it has CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING!

The downstairs includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, tv room, 1/2 bath with laundry and separate den. The living room, which is open to the kitchen, is a great gathering place for adults. The kitchen is guaranteed to have all the tools you could need. The spacious deck, with great stainless steel barbecue, is just off the kitchen. The TV room, which is visible from the kitchen, has a large spacious couch for comfortable group gatherings. Perfect for game night! The separate den can be used as a bedroom but it also has a TV and DVD player. This way the kids and adults can watch TV in different rooms. The house is equiped with children's videos, books, puzzles and games.

The upstairs has a master suite plus two bedrooms and a full bath. The large master suite has a sitting area facing a second floor balcony. The master bath includes a glassed in shower and separate large soaking tub. The master bedroom has a brand new cal-king sized bed and all new linens and furniture. The master and guest bedrooms are still being redecorated. Pictures of the finish products will be available soon. The other two bedrooms share a full bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is next to the bath. The third bedroom is quite large and is perfect for a group of children with its queen bed and bunk bed. All the mattresses are very comfortable. A crib is available if requested. Both bathrooms have tumbled marble counter tops.

Outdoor amenities include a deck, large stainless steel gas barbecue, outdoor shower and spacious yard with lovely professionally maintained yard and flower garden. The deck has plenty of seating. There are extra chairs in the garage as well as beach chairs, beach toys and children's bikes. The front porch is equiped with two rocking chairs for relaxing.

Linens and towels are provided upon request.

BEACHES - Short (less than 1/2 mile) picturesque WALK TO PRIVATE BEACH on Pleasant Bay for sun bathing and swimming. There are also many other beautiful beaches (town landings) nearby. The spectacular Lighthouse beach is less than 2 miles away. The nearby fish pier has a water taxi that will take you to amazing Nauset beach.

BIKING - CAPE COD RAIL TRAIL BIKE PATH is less than 1 mile away. Bikes can be rented at the local bike store which is only 1/2 mile away. There are a few children's bikes in the garage.

TOWN - The quaint village of Chatham is also only 1.7 miles away. The village has great shopping, restaurants, theater, art galleries and a fun weekly band concert.

Why the Owner Chose Chatham

When I first visited Chatham, just out of college, I knew that some day I would want to live here. It is just amazing to always be surrounded by beauty. Since Chatham is surrounded by water on three sides, any time you take a drive you are on a scenic route. North Chatham is especially beautiful because of all the amazing homes. A walk down the beach is beautiful on both sides. The town of Chatham is one of the most quaint towns on the cape. The stores an restaurants are all upscale, and the architecture in the town is also beautiful.

The Unique Benefits at this House

The house sits on one of the few remaining gravel lanes in Chatham. It really feels like a country road. It is just a short walk down the lane to a beautiful beach. I purchased the property with an old farm house on it. The farm house will be renevated one day but today is stands empty. I build the new house in 1995. The house feels very private. Across the street is conservation land, there are woods on one side of the house, and the old house on the other. The back of the property is lined with a hedge. The hedge is not quite high enough to block out everything yet, but they are getting there.

    • Our family stayed in this lovely North Chatham home for a week in June, 2009 and we had a terrific time. The home is located on a pretty, quiet gravel road. There is a beautiful little beach at the end of the lane, about a 10 minute walk down the road. (It was a little far for my toddler and preschooler to walk to that beach unassisted, but would be fine for older kids). It took us about 5 minutes to drive into town, and we never had a problem parking. (It would also be a short bike ride into town, although traffic seemed heavy on the very narrow roads, and we didn't attempt it). The house is also close to several other beaches where parking was available, and not far from groceries and restaurants. The location had a “residential neighborhood” feel, not the feel of a tourist location, which was just what we wanted. The house itself was just perfect for us and our two boys. It had an open first floor for the family to be together while one of us was cooking a meal and the others relaxing, a very comfortable family room, a kitchen fully stocked with cooking equipment, kids’ puzzles and books to read, chairs and toys for the beach, a deck and outdoor grill. It felt like we were visiting the home of friends, and had everything we needed. The owner, Elizabeth, is responsive and professional, and a pleasure to deal with. I would stay in this beautiful home again.
