My wife and I just stayed at this unit for 4 nights. We arrived on a stormy night and were glad for shelter - but when we walked into this unit and saw the view of the raging ocean - we were past elated. This is one of the nicer units we have stayed in anywhere and the view was unbelievable. Right on the beach/seashore. We ate out the first night at Norwood's - which was very good - but the next 3 nights we ate in because of the view. We also walked the trails which start right in front of the unit and they had stunning views of the ocean. We would return to Ulcuelet both for the trails and natural beauty and the enjoyment of staying at this unit.

My husband, myself and our daughter stayed at this property for 3 nights July 21-24th. It exceeded our expectations! "Jenny" was the woman we booked the rental thru and she could not have been any more professional or helpful. She told us the property was wonderful and it was. The location, the view , the recommended restaurants and hikes were all perfect!! We had one minor glitch which i brought to Jenny's attention and she immediately said she would rectify the problem. We WILL return and I would highly recommend this proerty to anyone looking for a little piece of heaven!

We loved our time here. What a great place to relax. The views were huge, both inside the condo and from the large decks...great for watching the tides, waves, and wildlife (easy to spot eagles and whale spouts). The condo is modern, spacious, well-fitted, and very clean. We enjoyed having such amenities as the fireplace, spa tub, laundry, and wi-fi...all worked well. Just steps out the door, you can be on the beach, or on the fabulous Wild Pacific Trail, which made for easy spur-of-the-moment outings. While the Pacific Rim National Park is certainly a draw for the area, we found the public Wild Pacific Trail to be a surprise gem, and did repeat visits at various times of the day, for unbeatable coastal vistas, tide pool exploring, whale-spotting, wave-crashing, eagles, photo-ops. Likewise for Ucluelet: While we did go to Tofino a couple of times to poke around, we were quite happy to be staying in "Ukee", which has its own share of nice amenities, eateries, and a couple of finer restaurants, without as much of the touristy feel. Let me add, though, that we played this vacation very low-key just to relax, but for the adventure seekers, there are plenty of options in the area...more rigorous hikes, kayaking, surfing, fishing, etc. The only thing we don't like about this location is that it is two days' travel from where we live! But we do hope to return someday. The property manager was a delight to work with and made everything easy. It was a great property in a gorgeous location making for a perfect getaway.

Visit in October

You can't beat the view that is for sure. We discovered that the weather in Ucleulet was beautiful in October. Even days forecast to have a 30% chance of rain were generally sunny and calm with an occasional passing drizzle. If the report said the temperature was only supposed to peak at 55* F we would find times and places on the beach where for a few hours the temp. easily hit the mid 70's * F. The crowds were gone and the rates lower so a great combination. The condo perfect, well equipped with the exception of a few cooking utensils that could have been improved upon. The master bed was actually comfortable and also has a superb view. We slept great which is not always the case in a rental. The windows and walls are so well insulated that we barely needed to use the heat and would have to open the windows a bit to enjoy the sound of crashing surf. We were lucky enough to experience one of the bigger storms to hit the area which made for some dramatic wave action along the beach and impressive viewing while walking the wild pacific trail. Three days of massive storm and then right back to sunshine. One of the few downers was that we could find no place that sold fresh seafood that time of year in Ucleulet. We had to drive to Tofino to buy live crab, prawns and fish which seems to be available there all year. The upside is that it is a beautiful drive and we would combine trips to the seafood market with hikes in the Pacific Rim National Park. Just dont get carried away on some gorgeous beach and forget that the seafood market closes at 5:00! The local CO OP supermarket is a great store. We made the mistake of stocking up on groceries before we left Victoria. The CO OP had pretty much everything you could ask for and more. All in all we were pleased with the value and quality of this rental and the property manager made everything simple which is how a holiday should be.

Incredible view! The Pacific at its best. From the lower or upper deck -- and even from inside, if the shades on the big windows are rolled up. And the town has the best small restaurants imaginable -- seafood, of course. And there's always Jiggers, an outdoor chip truck, if you want the best burgers around. We went on a whale viewing cruise -- the "Archipelago" -- which was great. In short, a fantastic spot with lots to do and see.

This place is the absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed staying at this beautiful home. It is equipped with everything imaginable. Including two great decks to watch the sea and listen to the surf. The wildlife, flora and fauna and a great little town to boot. Ucluelet has it all. Highly recommended.

We wanted comfort, close proximity to the ocean and great views and we got it all with this unit. Amazing ocean views with great decks on two floors, ideal for watching the ocean, the sunset, and listening to the surf. Loved the fully equiped kitchen with the view. We picked up fresh seafood from Fishful Thinking per a suggestion from the owners and had our best west coast dinner outside on the deck.

From the start to the finish the owners took care of all the details. When I opened the door and saw the view I realized that pictures just did not do it justice. This is a place to completely relax and get away from it all, it has everything to encourage relaxation from the 2 person jetted tub to the large open view decks on each floor to showering while staring out at the ocean. If you want to stay in and cook there is an excellent kitchen and bbq on the deck, your choice. If you want activity then there are so many options, spa day at the Wickininish Inn, a wonderful day on the RV Maiden Mist or Archipelgo Cruise as they call it right out of Ucluelet harbour (where you will see all the wildlife and enjoy a very comfortable boat ride) I went on several trips and this was by far the best or long walks on long beach watching the surfers or joining in. I did a kayak trip out of Tofino which took me to the Rain Forest with an informative guide from Remote Passages. This is a place to tell your friends about and this is the luxury beach house to stay in when you come here. The waves lapping up on shore as you go to sleep watching the sky lit up in stars, I miss it already. I will be back. Anne
