Its awesome!!!! Had a wonderful getaway for 2 days at this vacation rental. My only gripe was with myself that i had so few days to spend. Its a excellent house and really well maintained. We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers and everyone had fun. Am waiting for my next chance to get to this place again.

Such a beautiful,clean, spacious home that has it all. Fun pool table for the evening after being on the lake all day. The house was just a short drive to Lake Shasta and just such a serene quiet area. My wife and I had such a nice relaxing stay. We hope to plan a trip again soon!

My family of ten visited this home in Shasta Lake and was completely thrilled with how comfortable and cozy it was. Our kids enjoyed the back yard and the pool table, and the fireplace added a nice touch for our evenings together. There were plenty of dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils for meals. We will be enjoying this home again when we get an opportunity to visit the Redding area in the future.

We were plesently supprised at the room we had inside the house and out. We were fishing a tournament on Lake Shasta and had plenty of parking and room to accomodate our boats and trucks. Would highly recomend anyone to this home.

Okay, so I was thinking "nice alternative to a motel" but I had no idea how incredible this place was. The owner was gracious as I sent a million emails (working for a nonprofit I has to have every detail for this trip) and extremely helpful with all my questions. The house was perfect, clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful quiet area. Everyone in my group were extremely thankful, especially those who came last year and stayed in dorms and motels. We got there and found the porchlight on and heater up, extremely welcoming after a long day of travel. There are way more amenities then listed, pretty much you feel like you are at home, except it's clean and no one can find you :)

Home away from Home!

We loved this home! It was reflective of every review. We saw deer the first night we were here. The best are amazing! I slept better here than I have in a long time. There are small fans in each bedroom, which we loved for the "white noise". The fridge is large and kitchen has everything you could need. There is plenty of comfy couches to lounge in. Bottom line - this is a nice place to relax and enjoy time as a family. The kids had fun playing games and with the pool table. A great place to come back to after a day on the lake. I would definately recommend this place. We went to the Sundial Bridge and walked through the park - beautiful. Wish we had time to bike on the great trails there. Minutes from shopping and the lake! GREAT!

The Mullen home worked out perfectly for us! It's location was perfect for boating at Lake Shasta and heading into Redding for food and site-seeing. The home was clean and so well stocked, we felt right at home. The bedrooms were so spacious and the kids loved the bunk room! We all had fun playing pool and watching movies on the awesome TVs. The kids had fun playing in the huge back yard and watching the deer and quail. We also loved all the home's history...especially the Mullen Family Tree! Thank you to Matt and Laurie...you made it fun and completely hassel-free!

Perfect Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our family vacation. More room/sleeping than we needed for our 2 adults and 5 teenagers. Spacious, nicely remodeled with everything we needed. We cooked every meal for 5 days in the house and used the gas grill which was easy. A mother deer and her baby strolled through the yard in the morning and evening. The kids loved the pool table and ipod stereo and ipod alarm clocks. Very clean and stocked with everything you need to never have to go into town, but only a few minutes away from anything you need. Very well organized. We took up our boat and drove 5 minutes every morning to Centimudi launch for easy launch/retrieval and parked the car and boat in the spacious driveway every night. Great DVD library for family and adults. We already want to go back next year. It felt like our very own vacation home. Thanks, Laurie and Matt.

Shasta Lake House - feel right at home

We are a german family and enjoyed your house very much. At the beginning especially the ice-maker impressed our boys the most. Everything was exactly as described. Absolutely clean and well provided with everything. We love it to stay outside to watch the deer and the boys love the pool-table. We came all the way from Germany because just 5 miles away in Redding is Bethel Curch - one of the best in the world. For us a real attraction. We will be back.

Wow! What an amazing place....The owners have made this home feel as comfortable as can be. We loved the house, it was just like home away from home. It was cozy, clean, beautiful with all the necessary things we needed to make our vacation complete. I loved my morning coffee on the deck, my kids enjoyed the pool table and of course my husband loved the flat screen tv's. The bedrooms were elegant yet comfortable and the bunk bedroom was great too. The backyard was a new adventure each day, one day we were chasing turtles in the creek and the second day we were picking wild blackberries to enjoy on our ice cream! Thank you so much Laurie and Matt for letting us stay in your beautiful home! We will be back.... in fact you may have to kick us out next time :) BTW for any future guests... we highly recommend Shasta Burger....just down the street!

Our stay at the Lake House was wonderful! The house was everything we could have hoped for, and more. We spent our days on the lake- which was about 10 minutes away. The house was well equipped and VERY comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Shasta Lake House - We loved it!

We recently stayed at the Shasta Lake House to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. We had guests from age 15 to 80 (party of 8). The house was so comfortable -- we felt right at home! We enjoyed the back deck and bbq'd every evening (we did not eat out once!). The house is well stocked and the few things we forgot, we easily found on the shelves in the kitchen. The house is very well maintained and quiet. It has two living rooms w/Blu-Ray DVD players which meant we could enjoy two movies/tv's and the guys played pool every evening before dinner. We visited Lake Shasta, Shasta Dam and Burney Falls. Only regret is that we didn't stay a few days longer! Thanks, Laurie for allowing us to stay in your home! We had a great time and hopefully we'll have the opportunity to stay again in the future!

It was our first vacation with our newborn so having the comforts of a home made the experience very pleasurable. The house is spacious, fully stocked with all the necessities plus some, clean, and well situated. Questions to the owner(s) were promptly replied and overall communications smooth. I would definitely stay here again and would also recommend it to my friends and family.

Shasta Lake House

The house was exactly as described, the owners thought of everything for the renters, we only had to buy groceries! The house was clean and the deck was so relaxing, it was nice to sit outside in the evening and watch the deer, and quail come into the yard. I would recommend the house to anyone visiting the Shasta area! We had such a great time, we are seriously considering returning next year!

A great rental for a family vacation

A great house in an excellent location. The property backs onto green space and has a private backyard. Kitchen is well stocked with a variety of appliances and utensils. The house and surroundings are well maintained. It is very close to several attractions in the area. Owners have kept a lot of good information about the Shasta lake area in the house which makes trip planning easy. Kids enjoyed the room with bunk beds and a large TV with excellent collection of family oriented DVDs. Overall experience was very positive.

We went for a 3 day visit and really enjoyed ourselves. We just hung out at the house with friends and didn't even feel like we needed to get out and go into town. It was that homey. We stayed in the brown room and slept very well. We enjoyed a couple rounds of pool, had a BBQ on the cute back deck and watched movies that they stock. The home is very clean, organized and well furnished. We will definitely go back!

We stayed for 3 nights in early August, 09. We had a very enjoyable stay at this clean & well furnished home. The kids loved watching the deer grazing in the backyard almost everyday. Also, the kids enjoyed the pool table. The interaction with the owner was pleasant. We will consider staying again if we make a trip to Shasta County.

We stayed 33 days at this impeccably clean, homey vacation house. Highly recommend this house. We had deer walk thru the backyard early in the morning and at dusk. We liked watching the family of quail everyday, too. With seven beds, not including sofa pullouts, there is plenty of room for everyone to have a great night of sleep. I wish I could go back every year. Quiet and on a cul-de- sac so my 5 & 3 year old had plenty of room to ride scooters and bikes. Convenient to everything at the Lake and Redding. Awesome owners!! Loved our whole California experience and this house was a major component to our happiness. What a blessing!

We were very pleased with this vacation house. The house is well furnished. Maybe even more furnished than my own. Spacious with a lot of sitting areas and places for extra guests to sleep, very nice appliances, new flat screen TV's, pool table...etc... We really enjoyed the private back deck and BBQ. The house is on enough land and positioned in such a way that you have much seclusion. The large asphalt parking area gives you plenty of room for your cars and boats. The house is conveniently located near a Lake Shasta boat ramp.We will definitely consider using this vacation house for our next visit to the area. The owners are a pleasure to work with and we felt very much at home.Thank You Mullen’s for allowing us to be guests in your house.

The moment we walked in we felt at home in this well furnished, relaxing, sparkling clean & comfortable house. It just invites you to kick back & relax. We took our boat out on beautiful Lake Shasta, launching was a breeze... just minutes from the house. Fishing was great & the scenery unbelieveable. We will be back next summer!
