We stayed at the Coast house at the end of September and couldn't have chosen a better place. The house is comfortable and has everything you need - all the kitchen appliances, dishes, etc plus plenty of pillows and blankets. The back deck is set among the trees and makes you relax. The house is conveniently located to both Fort Bragg and Mendocino. It was easy enough to spend the morning in Mendocino, head back to the house for lunch and then spend the afternoon at the beach. The owner was very responsive to our questions. We were very happy staying here.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Coast House and found it clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept well. We found the location extremely convenient, close to both Fort Bragg and Mendocino as well as to lovely trails and the headlands/beach. The house was clean, well-insulated, as well as light and airy, due to the vaulted ceilings and large windows. We found the owners helpful and responsive. The only drawback was poor cell phone reception, but some may want a "vacation" from those!

This house was perfect for us. It is on a large secluded parcel and very well located to visit Mendocino or Fort Bragg. Besides the two bedrooms, there are 2 trundle beds in the very large great room. It could easily sleep 8.

As always, my time at your coast house was the perfect ending to my long busy summer and gave me the welcoming place to come home to while working at the Paul Bunyan Days Craft Fair....the only hard part is the leaving.....I was so grateful that the you allowed me to extend my stay since no one was scheduled till the end of the week...thanks for being flexible and thanks for keeping this house so cozy and available.....looking forward to next year already....and it feels like a long time away....sigh! For me this is a retreat and it's ideal for solitude lovers, but I can heartily recommend this home for couples, families and girlfriend gatherings....quite roomy, inside and out.....

The five of us had a great time at your home on the coast. We loved the location - between Mendocino and Fort Bragg. We could pop down to Mendocino to roam the shops and be in kayaks on the Noyo River in Fort Bragg. Close to this house is the Jughandle State Preserve which has forest and ocean access. This house is very clean. We loved the great room, light and bright. We have recommended this rental to our family and friends. We will be back!

I just returned from this great house. Well equipped, great location. Very warm and inviting. Wonderful place to cook a meal and visit with friends in the evening after a day of exploring the coast. Loved the wood burning stove. Could not have been better! Also noticed wheelchair accessibility (ramp in back, slightly lower sinks, grab bar in bathroom). Bravo! Thanks for a great time. Can't wait to come back!

We visited this home for a quick getaway in early June. We found the house to be spacious (in fact, more spacious than it looks in the photos) comfortable and clean. We especially enjoyed the very peaceful back porch, where we ate dinner under the stars. The beds and bed linens are very comfortable. We also loved the fact that there was a high chair for our one-year-old. The house and yard were very well set up for families with kids, with safe spaces to explore. We wanted to return to the home in September, but found it to be already booked!

Thank you for a lovely first visit to The Coast House. Everthing needed was amply provided and we appreciated how CLEAN everything was. The position of the house on the propeerty let us feel secluded and the view from all the many windows was peaceful. A big bonus was seeing several varied trush up close - what a beautiful bird. We enjoyed the rain the sunshine and finally fresh crab. Just delighful !!

I look forward to 'coming home' to the Jughandle house for two weeks at the end of every summer. From the minute I open the front door and step inside I feel welcomed. There is always plenty of firewood conveniently stacked to keep me cozy warm for my whole stay. It is clean, spacious (inside and out) and comfortable....just like being home, but without all the clutter. I enjoy the solitude and seclusion when I am there alone, especially wandering around the little paths throughout the expansive property, and have also had some creative and entertaining 'wild women' weekends here cooking in the well equipped kitchen and spreading out craft projects in the big living/dining room. Not far from town (both Fort Bragg and Mendocino) when I feel the need to be a 'tourist', but truly the vacation for me is just being here. The Mc Keons know how to treat their guests.

This lovelly location gives me fesh eyes to see the beuaty of the world that surrounds us. A necklace of geese is strung across the autumn sky,. This house nestled among the redwoods and pine trees; the breathtaking of the ocean beyond incredibleSea gulls white skimming the waters, blue sunrise slowly filling the house with raysof sunshine-sea and wind croon melodic melodies.Day to day carres can be put off with a shrug. An inner peace prevails. Thanks McKeon family for your hospitality of sharing this dear house with us. Liz

Thank you for the lovely vacation Coast home! We enjoyed ourselves so much -- with hikes, bicycle rides, play time, on the beach, a few BBQs. The kids really enjoyed exploring the property - what an adventure, and how beautiful, the natural landscaping. Such fun and so comfortable to spend our family vacation.
