Property description

Treat yourself to the experience of true “Old Homosassa”. Enjoy your days on the river or in one of the many nearby parks, and relax for the evening on the cozy, screened porch at the back of the house, or stretch out under the huge grandfather oak out front. The fenced back yard is perfect for your WELL BEHAVED pets and children. Several grocery stores are conveniently located close by (within 5 minutes) on US 19, so you can stock up on supplies. Don’t feel like cooking? There are several eateries within walking distance where you can sample some great seafood and specialty dishes or relax with a cocktail as you watch the Homosassa River gently float by. Bring your bicycle for a relaxing ride on quiet roads.

There is plenty of parking in the driveway area, so be sure to bring your boat on a trailer – we’re less than ½ a mile from the public boat ramp, and the Nature Coast boasts some of the best fishing anywhere in the world, not to mention the scalloping season from July to September. Don’t have a boat? There are numerous places close by where you can rent one, or you can hire one of the many experienced fishing guides in the area to show you the ropes. Kayakers and canoeists will enjoy the Citrus County Canoe and Kayak Trail which extends eleven miles from the Crystal River to the Chassahowitzka River. The trail is clearly marked and conveys you through some of the county's most picturesque areas.

Nearby attractions include the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park, Swim with the Manatee Tours, Helicopter Rides, Buccaneer Bay Water Park, Deep Sea Fishing, Howard’s Flea Market, Hunter Springs Park, Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins Historic State Park, Crystal River State Archaeological State Park, Rainbow Springs State Park, and the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Refuge, just to a mention a few.

We love our home in this “Old Florida” hideaway, and we’re sure you will too!
