We definately had to make the best of what we had. The location to the beach was nice as well as to the pools. This condo is only comfortable for a family of 5-6 max. The pull out sofa is so thin and stained and several of the outlets were dangerously loose. Also make sure you bring plenty of quarters the laundry is expensive. Our only major problems was that when the fridge stopped working, the owner was not responsive at all. Emailed and called never recieved and call or email after our instructions to get into the condo. So lets hope you don't have an emergency.
Recommended for:Families with young children, age 55+.

This was one of the most relaxing weeks in my life! The room was just like the pictures, the beach was wonderful, and Gulf Shores Plantation was just beauitful. It was like driving into paradise! This is a first floor condo and it was everything my family of 4 needed! The ride of 13 miles into Gulf Shores was worth every penny of gas ! The best resturants we ate at were Desoto's Seafood Kitchen , Lulu's, The Original Oyster House and Lambert's in Foley. I would highly recommend the Ponderosa and it's owner's to anyone!
Recommended for:Families with young children, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+.

It was very relaxing. The beach was great. If you like to play tennis, the courts were some of the best I have played at. Pools are nice but were still cool in March. It is 13 miles out of town. To go eat you had to drive back into Gulf Shores to find a restaurant.
Recommended for:Families with young children, age 55+.
