  Listing accurate regarding location. what we could see on photos was accurate, however bathtub left a lot to be desired. Oven filthy, windows and floor needed cleaning. sink tap had to be fixed. (this was e-mailed to owner after we arrived ) prior to going owner answered questions and concerns. I am sorry to say I would not recommend this property in its present condition. Area an exellent place for holiday quite, good weather, really good beach, some nice activities,attactions in area. Restaurants highly recommended E.A.T.S. and whataburger plus numerous in Corpus Christi.

I am not sure what to say because I have had the same cleaning lady for the past 3 years and our guests have arrived to find unit clean, as is to be expected. The guests both immediately before this reviewer, ... the guests immediately after, and the many guests that she has prepared the condo for over the past year, have arrived to find the unit clean and ready for their arrival. I am reluctant to make any personnel changes because of this review when she has prepared the condo for so many guests who have been pleased with the cleanliness of the condo. I think it is also important to mention that she has prepared this condo for over 100 groups in the past 3 years who have been pleased. However, I will mention this to her, keep a close watch, and make a change if it is appropriate. The problem with the kitchen faucet was that the end piece apparently sprung a leak, which can happen on any given day without advance warning, it is just screwed on the end of the faucet to spread the water into a wider pattern. The guest sent an email upon arrival telling me of this problem and additional other complaints about burnt out light blubs. I immediately contacted the complex repair crew to have a look and make any repairs needed. Within a few minutes the guest sent me a follow-up email that the light bulbs were not out (he was using the wrong switch) and the faucet end he had gotten a new one for a couple dollars and screwed it on himself. I do want to insure potential guests and returning guests that we do preventative maintenance to keep breakdowns as infrequent as possible. I believe anyone can tell from the reviews posted over the years that breakdowns are out of the ordinary (knock on wood) and very minor. However, when something does break I take immediate action to remedy the situation. We take great pride in the condo, it's cleanliness, operation, and comfort. I am sorry to learn that this guest had issues that they felt warranted the review submitted but I want to insure future guest that I will continue to prepare a unit for our guest that is representative of the many other nice reviews from prior and returning guest of this condo.   We stayed for 4 nights in August and had a wonderful time in Port Aransas thanks to this home away from home. We had stayed in the Island Retreat community before but think that this unit is one of the best in the whole complex. The location is fabulous- end unit, first level, so close to the boardwalk, close to the pool and playground. Also the walk out patio is a huge plus. The unit is so spacious! When we first walked in we were amazed at how large it was. It was very clean and well maintained. This is definitely a place we would stay again when we return to Port A!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

  Very nice well maintained condo in excellent location! Owner is very friendly and helpful and takes great pride in her property! This resort has a security guard when you drive in which was an added bonus! The pools are sparkling clean! The tennis courts and playground very well maintained and right out your front door (pool too)! Bed and linens VERY COMFORTABLE! Walk out the back door to the boardwalk which leads to the beautiful beach. There is even an outdoor shower at the end of the boardwalk! Highly recommended rare find! Also recommend Coffee Waves for coffee, gelato and live music Fri & Sat nights.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We are human and so are the cleaning crews so if a mistake or problem is noted we try to immediately rectify the situation before other guests arrive.   Very roomy and clean as described. excellent layout, nice condo as promised. Not thrilled about the deposit but understand the need. Everything worked and only very minor cosmetic issues existed.My family all liked it and plan to stay there again.

  What a great place!! You'll be hard pressed to find another condo like this for the price that's located directly on the gulf. Not the newest, but very nice, comfortable furnishings. Also had everything we needed for the beach! The complex itself has two huge pools, tennis and basketball courts, outdoor grills and more. Hope we can make it back in the near future!!

  Just a great condo.Best equiped kitchen we've ever had.(including our own).Large and comfy.Great location. We will stay here again without a doubt!

  My family of 5 stayed at the condo. We wnet with other family members as well that stayed at a hotel close by. They ALL wanted this condo!! It was spacious and clean. Great location just as described. the pool, playground, and tennis court were right across from the condo. The boardwalk to the beach was not far from us and even better had showers! The owners answered every question I had before renting. We will definetly be back next year, FOR SURE!!

  We had a wonderful long weekend trip and stayed at this condo. We found it just as described on VRBO....comfortable, roomy, great beds, well equipped, convenient to town but just away from crowds, clean, grounds well maintained, nice pool and tennis courts, but most importantly the best location for the beach!!! Bathroom was not new but was clean, nice, and functional. I will recommend this property to family and friends. I think my nephew would also love the spectacular golf course just down the street.

  We had a good time in the condo at Port Aransas. This was our first time visiting PA, and we were very happy with the town/beach etc... There were a few issues with the condo, some of which the owner couldn't have prevented. When we arrived, there was a very large leak in the bathroom coming from the unit above, maintenence took care of it the next day, but it was a slight inconvenience. In drying up the leak, we used some of our bath towels, and come to find out, there was no towel service. The office stated since we rented directly with the owner, they didn't provide fresh towels. The owners book in the room stated we would receive fresh towels daily, we never did, and were forced to do laundry on our vacation. Finally, while trying to enjoy a nice evening sitting on the back porch, listening to the waves, the sprinkler system comes thru and soaks you down every 30 seconds or so. On the positive side, we had a great time, the proximity to the beach is unbeatable. The condo is roomy and comfortable. The Beds are very nice and comfortable. And you can't beat the price compared to other beachfront condos.

The condo does not come with daily cleaning service but I wish the office would have noticed that the problem was generated by another unit and made fresh linens available to you. I will speak with them about this and timming of lawn sprinklers. So glad to hear that you found the condo and bedding to be comfortable and enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. It really is the best location for beach and town. Hope you will be back soon.
