Enjoy the elegance, comfort, and spaciousness of a traditional hacienda style house. Casa Coronado is centrally located in the heart of San Miguel de Allende and just a 10 minute walk to the Jardin and La Parroquia.
The colonial style of Casa Coronado is simply gorgeous. Soaring ceilings and archways, glorious colors, sumptuous furnishings and beautiful local art adorn every room. The property contains the Casa, the Casita (rented separately), a private rooftop terrace (with a new enlarged lanai and great views), a beautiful garden with a fountain, a garage, a game room, and the laundry and utility rooms. The private garden has outdoor furniture for casual dining and chaise lounges for getting away from it all with your favorite book.
The Casa has three generous bedrooms each with its own private bath and the beautiful traditional domed red brick boveda ceilings. The master bedroom has a king bed, gas fireplace, Jacuzzi, separate reading/relaxing area, and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a queen bed, comfortable sitting area, and a computer area with a desktop computer. All three bedrooms have wonderful natural light, purified drinking water, luxurious linens, and high-speed Internet access.
Downstairs, there is a large, wonderfully furnished living room, complete with a gas fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, and an adjoining area for games. We have just installed a beautiful new tile floor in the sunny, fully stocked, gourmet kitchen. There is a separate breakfast room opening onto the garden. The garden was replanted in September 2008 by the leading nursery in San Miguel and is ready to join the home and garden tour. The formal dining area seats eight, and nearby is a comfortable casual area for watching television and entertaining. A half-bath is conveniently located just off the living room for your guests.
Our housekeeper comes to clean and change the linens and can also cook for you. The property is managed by an English speaking manager who is always on call in case you have any problems.
There is a Private 1 BR/1 Bath CASITA that is rented separately and offers guests their own special place with a separate street entrance.
San Miguel de Allende (SMA) is a beautifully restored 400 year old colonial silver city, considered by many to be the prettiest town in Mexico, and it is protected by the government as an Historic Trust site to ensure that it stays that way.
SMA offers an extraordinary array of concerts, live theater, lectures and famous art institutes (Instituto Allende and Bellas Artes). Classes are offered in painting, sculpture, weaving, dance, photography, and ceramics to name a few. There is a wonderful English language library with the largest collection of books in English outside of Mexico City.
