We were very pleased with this home we rented, we had 2 weddings the same day at Las Rocas Resort and this home was perfect. We all had our own room and each bedroom had it's own bathroom. 2 kitchens and wow the beautiful views from the upstairs living room and master bedroom was awesomes. There is a great Pizza place we discovered which was walking distance called Ollies and man o man was this pizza great, the owner had a San Francisco chef come in and show him how to do these great pizzas in a woodburing oven. Great wine, great food... The owners of this home were very nice and it was very easy working with them. I highly recommend this home.

Me and my family loved this home, you will find everything. I loved the big home, really spacious and really safe. Since the moment you drive in and the guards let u in you feel safe. With gated community what else can we ask for. To wake up and have a beautiful view while having breakfast... I would totally recommend this place. As we are going back in a big group this is the home i would book again....You have a pool, play ground for the kids.. Lovely place. This was not my first time here but yes my first time in this home and it will not be my last one here..... Loved the place....

Fantastic Weekend Getaway

My friends and I spent President's Day Weekend at this house and had a wonderful time. With the six bedrooms, we easily fit with everyone getting a bed. It was a two-minute walk to the private beach (with volleyball court) and even closer to the pool/jacuzzi and hot tub. This was our third time staying at the Las Gaviotas resort that the property is located in and couldn't be happier. For those of you more apprehensive, it is extremely safe. It's highway the whole way until about a mile before the resort. It is gated and guarded by friendly guards who all speak English.

Fabulous Time In Los Gaviotes

I found this property through a google search of Los Gaviotes and was originally skeptical booking online, but am happy to report I had a very positive experience from start to finish. The owners were incredibly kind and able to answer any questions I threw their way. A group of 12 of us went down and were so pleased with the home and Los Gaviotes in general. What a beautiful place!! One of my main concerns was safety, Los Gaviotes felt VERY safe as well as the drive to and from the boarder. I highly recommend working with the owners of this property if you are planning on a Los Gaviotes visit.

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. This was my third stay at Gaviotas and this house is by far the most conveniently located between the beach, jacuzzi/pool, and the exit of Las Gaviotas - this made for a nice short walk in any direction, especially welcome when walking back to the home from the jacuzzi at night. There were 12 of us on this trip and the house was a great fit for our large group. We especially liked the open kitchen/dining area/living room fit - it was perfect for our group for socializing since all of us could fit in the same area comfortably. Staying here certainly helped my experience turn out ideal without any hassle. Overall, the house (and Las Gaviotas) is relaxing, comfortable, and clean and exactly what I need for a good getaway. I would recommend it to everyone!

Eleven friends and I just stayed at this house and we made memories that will last a lifetime. The size of the house is large enough so all of us were accommodated. This meant we didn't have to book numerous houses and, therefore, we got a great deal. The house is positioned so access to the pool and beach is easy and so is the access to the front gate which is across the street from a ceramics shop, pharmacy and little market. The layout of the kitchen, dining room and living room is very open, well lit and has stunning views of palm trees and the ocean. The owner of the house was very easy to deal with and was prompt in answering our questions. Needless to say, we've decided that we'll be returning annually.

We had a group of 11 people and went down over Labor Day weekend. It was a breeze to get there from the border - only about 45 minutes! As soon as we pulled into the gated community, and then up to the house, we were thrilled. The house was fantastic! Plenty of room for all of us, and it had everything we could ever need. The view from the house was breathtaking. We had a handful of surfers in the mix, and they were excited to be able to check the waves from the living room. There was great surfing right out front, and for those who didn't surf, the pool and beach were perfect for tanning and relaxing. We even got involved in a fun game of beach volleyball. To sum it all up, we had a fantastic long weekend and felt very safe and comfortable within the Las Gaviotas community. We are all looking forward to going back.

Las gravitos is the perfect place to go if you have some buddies who want to surf and girls who want to get some sun! This place is excellent for large groups, with plenty of space and beds for everyone. (One warning they are strict about noise after 10pm). They have a great private beach here that is better than some you'll find in the states and pool on the ocean.... and a great right point break... If you want to go out at night $25 cab ride to rosarito and $10 cab to puerto Nuevo. I love Mexico and this is the perfect place to escape too! There is no doubt we will be back soon!

Thanks for a really lovely stay at your home. 9 of us went and we all had a fantastic time. The home was well-appointed and had everything we could hope for. With all the bedrooms each kid was able to have their own room. That was a blessing! We also loved the location. We've stayed in the back row houses before and it was rather noisy from the traffic on the road. Because your house is situated on one of the inner rows, it was peaceful and quiet. It was also well situated near the pool and the beach. Oh and the views were so fantastic! It was such a joy to sit there and enjoy that amazing ocean view! We love staying at Las Gaviotas. The amenities are great - we love the beach, pool, and hot tub. It was a bit too hot to make use of the tennis courts, but we hope to on our next stay. The only issue we had was that when we got there some lightbulbs needed replacing and one of the toilets wasn't flushing well. We went to the maintenance office and within a few hours it was all fixed. We felt really well taken care of! Thanks again for a great stay. We look forward to returning again very soon.

maison au Mexique et pas San diego

Il faut savoir que la maison correspond tout à fait à la description et que le lotissement est absolument paradisiaque. Le probleme est que cette maison ne se situe pas a San diego mais au Mexique a plus de 40kms de la frontiere. Il n'y a absolument rien à faire aux alentours, ni rien à visiter, de plus cela peut etre dangereux! Pour aller aux EU il faut s'armer de patience car de tres longues heures d attente à la frontiere et ceci à n importe quelle heure du jour et de la nuit (meme à 1h du matin) enfin il y a plusieurs peages...

Owner response:These guests visited from France and stayed at our house in Mexico which is 25 miles south of the United States and Mexico border crossing at San Diego or San Ysidro. During their stay at our house they apparently wanted to frequently go to San Diego and visit the tourist attractions in San Diego. However, they were dissapointed when they tried to enter the US from Mexico and there were up to 2 hour waits at the border at certain times of the day. We understand their frustration but their difficulty at crossing the the US and Mexico border was out of our control. I believe they thought crossing the US and Mexico border was much like Europe where you can easliy cross from one country to another.

My friends and I rented this house for my 30th birthday. The house was large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably. Close to the beach and pool. Great views! I would stay here again! 5 min drive to Puerto Nuevo for lobster and margaritas!

I am the coach of a high school surf team from South Orange County and every year we take a surf trip over Spring Break. This year, I took 9 members of team down to Las Gaviotas for the week to hopefully enjoy some uncrowded waves. Not only did we score with a solid swell and sunny conditions, the property definitely exceeded our expectations! There was plenty of space for everyone and everything-everyone had there own beds, and the majority of the people even had their own rooms. Everything you could possibly need was at the house; bbq, dvd and flatscreen tv, poker set, etc. I have stayed in quite a few properties in the Las Gaviotas community, and this one is definitely in the upper tier. It it right in the center of the community, so it makes for a very short walk down to the beach and/or the pool. I would recommend this property to any large group or family who is interested in a trip down to Las Gaviotas.

Amazing ocean views, cozy and safe place for family and friends to enjoy a nice stay in Rosarito

This place is absolutely exceptional, quiet and beautiful. Las Gaviotas is a very clean and safe community to bring your family and friends. From the momment we arrived to the check in guard station I got a good feeling of this place. The guards and the people at Las Gaviotas were very friendly. The views were breath taking, the roads are coble-stone which was very nice and the gardens were kept up. It had a pool, however the Jacuzzi was under construction, a gym and nice play area for my 1.5 year old. We were able to walk during the morning to watch the sun come out, it was very nice. Walking distance from a private beach. The rooms ver very large (two master on the top floor) Had a garage for one car and plenty of parking space for two additional cars. The living room was spacious for our family of 10, has two t.v's and two fireplaces. The outside patio is small, but they have a nice garden right in front of the house. Big windows in the living room with amazing views of the ocean. It is a 10 minute drive from main Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo. The owners were also amazing in facilitating our stay in short noticed, very friendly and responded timely to our requests. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends and we look forward to renting this place everytime we visit Rosarito. Thanks.

A group of friends and I came down to Las Gaviotas for MLK weekend. This house was incredible, with a huge master bedroom, cozy fireplace and amazing ocean view from the patio. Las Gaviotas is by far the nicest and safest community in the area. All of my friends raved about how nice the house was, and we cannot wait for our next trip.

we had a family gathering between Christmas and New Years 9 people 3 couples and 3 singles so everyone had their own room couldn't have been more perfect went to Puerto Nuevo three times for lobster otherwise cooked in the VERY NICE kitchen the security staff at Las Gaviotas were VERY professional and gracious always on patrol and always with a smile and 'ola... the vendors at Puerto Nuevo were charming ... they so want to encourage Americans to come for a visit... the rumors of violence there are not true and have really hurt them economically GO to Baja You'll have fun and you'll be treated like royalty.

I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay at Las Gaviotas was. The house was absolutely perfect--exactly as described. The owner was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt to respond to my emails and answer any questions. If you've never stayed at Las Gaviotas, it is a splendid property. Perfectly situated in a gated community near the small town of Puerto Nuevo. During our 3 day stay, we went to Puerto Nuevo every day for delicious, cheap lobster. We had a great time last week in Las Gaviotas. The house itself was more than accommodating for the 8 people we had there. Great ocean view! Cupboards full of clean dishes, beds were fairly comfortable and the walk to the ocean/jacuzzi was about 3 minutes! We definitely plan to rent this house again!

Let me start with my first conversation with the owner. He was sincere in trying to make our stay a wonderful enjoyable one. He was flexible enough to provide the option of multiple locations allowing us to chose the place that suited my family. He recommended this location because it would be more suited for my son and it did fit us. My son loved the open floor plan, running, hiding, and plenty of places to play with his trucks/cars. The kitchen was fully stocked and made it easy to whip up meals throughout the week (also used the grill twice). The central location of the house in the resort made it easy for us to hit the playground or stroll to the pool. The staff at Las Gaviotas was always cordial and made us feel safe. Other guests at the resort were very nice and always spoke as we strolled through the streets. The resort beach is small but Rosarito is very close and you can walk for miles on that beach. The owners tips on shopping/dining/etc was very helpful. We now the area but still referenced their recommendations (great restaurants - in Puerto Nuevo and in Rosarito). We also took a drive down to Ensenada (have friends there). This town has wonderful restaurants and neat shopping. This rental experience was perfect and this property provided a home to relax in. Thank you to the owners for making our vacation unforgettable and easy. We will definitely return in the future.

A group of 11 of my friends and I spent a weekend in Gaviotas at Circa del Mar and had an amazing time. The location of the property is super close the the beach, the pool, and all of the other amenities Gaviotas has to offer. It has a great view of the ocean and worked great for our purposes. I'd definitely recommend Circa del Mar to anyone with a large group.

Pure Rest and Relaxation for 12 adults. We rented the Bayer's house for my wife's birthday weekend. Invited 6 adult couples to join and we all enjoyed a perfect weekend. Our group made a trip into Puerto Nuevo for a fabulous lobster dinner on Saturday night and found ourselves sitting on a patio overlooking the ocean while enjoying a fantastic spread of seafood with all the fixings. The margaritas and Dos Equis lagers were flowing to say the least! The house is perfectly set up to make all guests comfortable. I will eventually organize a trip with our kids and other families as the house would be perfect to accommodate three families of four. Thank you Rob and Virginia for being such amazing hosts!

I rented this home for my birthday weekend. It was just perfect for my group. The house had everything and then some! The view was great, the pool was perfect, the jacuzzi was MY SPOT, the neighbors were friendly, and have no issues or complaints. We took walks up and down the beach and the views were awesome. This house was fabulous! We took a friends trip with a group of 9 and had a wonderful time. The house is plenty roomy and I loved that the kitchen was so open to the living area. The Bayers make their place very affordable...especially with a free night at the end of it. Even though the house isn't right on the water, you still have a beautiful, elevated view of the water. We would watch the surfers while we sat at the table for breakfast each morning :) The other people in the community were very friendly the whole time we were there. I would definitely recommend staying here. We're already planning when can get back there!

I recently stayed in the above property. It was an amazing and fun filled experience and I would highly recommend to all. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a beautiful garden. As we entered the house, we were impressed by how clean and maintained the house was. It was very spacious and the views from the house were impressive. We loved the large dining table and the built in bar. The downstairs bedrooms were great for the kids. The photos and description of the house were spot on which was great. I have stayed in Las Gaviotas before and this house was a dream. Everything was very close by, Puerto Nuevo, shopping, eating and we even went wine tasting and "La Bufadora" outside of Ensanada. We also enjoyed the fresh fish that was caught in the morning by local fisherman. The pool was great for the kids and very close to the house. Lastly, I would like to add how wonderful the owners are and what great communication they have. They were a pleasure to deal with. We can't wait to return in the very near future!

A few friends and I took a last minute trip to Las Gaviotas... and to say the lesast it was stressful getting all the details ironed out with 8 guys going. But thanks to Rob and his family, there house and his family made life much easier. They are very easy to rent from and make it as stress free as possible. The PRICE IS GREAT for all that you get! And once you get down there you'll understand what I mean. The view is amazing, all the showers had hot water, theres enough room for everyone and it is very clean. Its a great choice for either a all guys surf trip or a get away with the family.... I know we will be back for sure!

My Boyfriend and I hosted a Couples Getaway with some of our friends and this house was perfect. Every couple had their own room, great privacy. By day the ladies loved the amenities of the property while the boys surfed. By night, we loved using the big kitchen for cooking our dinners. My family and I recently stay at the Bayers vacation home and we were not disappointed. For someone who hasn't been to baja this place is perfect because the Bayers go step by step on everything from how to get there to where to visit once your their. The home itself is gorgeous and the surroundings are beautiful. The best part was that their is so much to do just at "las gaviotas",that our family saved alot of money by staying at the pool or going down to the beach. We go down every year and we have never felt more at home, mostly because of the welcoming staff who do a great job. The biggest part for me is that my family safe at this secured gated community. So if your looking for a few day of relaxing under the sun or going to sleep hearing relaxing ocean waves, this is the place!

Awesome time in Las Gaviotas

The process to rent the house was super simple. Everything is done by email with the owner and you can even pay by credit card on Paypal. Once you have sent the money, they send you a key, parking permits and map and you just have to show up. The entire place is amazing! The house is really clean and has all amenities, not to mention the absolutely incredible views. The village as I like to call it is very cute since all house are deigned differently... The swimming pool, jacuzzi and shuffle board will keep you busy. The part I loved the most were the incredible tide pools where you can see anemones, starfish, sea slugs, urchins, mussles and other creatures I had never seen before. Before we left we had been warned about security in Rosarito but we never felt threatened or at risk when we went to the large supermarket in Rosarito, or to visit Puerto Nuevo or walking accross the street from Las gaviotas to the bar, pottery shop and convenience store. People were nice and ready to help when we were looking for direction. Even the army was real cordial when they checked our car at the check point. It was my husband's second stay and my first, but I would go back without a doubt!

(145) What a wonderful experience! We rented both of their houses (16 & 145) for my birthday weekend. We had a large group consisting of couples and single people. Rob was nice, insightful and helpful through the entire process. This house was beautiful with its view and huge fireplace in the living room. It had such a warm feeling to it as soon as you walk in. There were plenty of rooms and all the things you need were already there. It was nice for peace of mind to be in a secured and safe community too. We fully enjoyed the cute little community area. The pool, jacuzzi and shuffle board area was awesome. We even spent time at their private beach too. There is a restaurant right across from the gated community that had good food and entertainment. I will definitely come back and often.

This house is AMAZING! Whether you are looking for a fun and relaxing family getaway, or an adults only trip... this is the place. I stayed at the property from July 24-July 27th for a bachelorette weekend with 8 other women. The weekend couldn't have been more perfect. The Bayers are great hosts. They not only provided us with a beautiful house for the weekend, but also made sure that we had all of the information we needed to get down to Las Gaviotas safely. Any initial concerns we had with traveling from San Diego down to the house were eliminated instantly. The property is very safe and we didn't feel uncomfortable once. We can't wait for our next trip to Circa Del Mar!!

We had a great time, my wife and I with five kids ages 3-19. Never a dull moment, surfing, swimming pool, tennis. The house was cozy for all. Take the dirt road on the south side of Fox Studios around 8am and buy some fish straight of the boat. Very good!!

Really cannot say enough good things about my experience from the first time I contact the Bayers until the day we left the house. The community was extremely safe and well maintained. The property is very nice and well taken care of. I would recommend any of my friends and family looking to stay in the area to the Bayers right away and know they would be taken care of.

FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THE BAYERS OF CIRCA DEL MAR HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL HOSTS AND PROVIDED EASE IN RENTING OF THEIR BEAUTIFUL HOME IN LAS GAVIOTAS.WE'VE BEEN TRAVELING TO LAS G. FOR YEARS NOW , AND THIS STAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST.THE HYPE REGARDING THE UNSAFE COUNTRY OF BAJA MEXICO IS TRULY FALSE , NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN THE FIFTEEN + YEARS WE'VE VACATIONED THERE. THE CARTELS OF BAJA ARE NO DIFFERENT THAN THE GANG AFFILIATION IN THE US AND THE PRESENCE OF AUTHORITIES HAS BEEN EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE U.S'S BEHALF, AS THE MEDIA HERE HAS INFLATED THE CONCERN. BAJA IS SAFE AND THE BAYERS ARE GREAT HOSTS, ENJOY THE BEACH AND CIRCA DEL MAR. WE DID!

AMAZING! The house is in the perfect location, close to the pool, tennis courts, and beach. We had the best time at this house. It was a great place to relax, and for my family and my boyfriend's family to get to know each other,cook together, and to just enjoy each other's company. The house was so comfortable and inviting... it was a trip none of us will ever forget. I highly recommend staying here...you won't regret it.
