Charming, comfortable, and quiet duplex apartment is just 3 blocks from the beach.

Great location! This is your vacation home away from home or a good choice for a business trip. It is just blocks away from everything. Park your car and you may not need it again. You can walk, bike or skate along the beach bike path. Walk one block to Main Street shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the Santa Monica Pier and to downtown Santa Monica, Palisades Park, and The Promenade: entertainment, shopping, movies, and restaurants.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath; it is the downstairs apartment in a 1920’s beach craftsman duplex. It is a roomy 1050 square feet. It was remodeled in the summer of 2008. There is a new queen pillow-top bed. There is a new pop-up twin trundle bed that could be 2 twin beds or convert to one king size bed in the second bedroom, Spring 2009 and a new futon couch, Fall 2009. We also have a queen size air mattress. Sleeps up to 5. There are 2 TVs with DirecTV with HBO and other movie channels, DVD player, and WIFI Internet access. Light and breezy apartment also has screened in front porch, a washer, dryer and dishwasher in the unit.

Along with world-class restaurants located nearby, the kitchen is well equipped so that you can easily prepare meals at home. Discover wonderful seasonal fresh produce at the renowned Santa Monica Farmers’ Market on Wednesday and Saturday, as well as a Sunday Farmers’ Market nearby on Main Street which is a popular neighborhood event with crafts and restaurants too.

Come enjoy this relaxing getaway in Santa Monica. It is close to the beach, close to all the Santa Monica sights, and close to Los Angeles attractions. Owners live next door for friendly help or local tips.

Why the Owner Chose Santa Monica

My family bought this property and lived here as owner occupied units and one rental in the duplex. We love the location close to the beach and near to all that Santa Monica has to offer. My husband and I live in the corner house and hope to share the all the wonderful cultural and interesting activities that Santa Monica has to offer with our guests.

The Unique Benefits at this Duplex

The Santa Monica Mountains are nearby to hike and we love walking our dogs by the beach daily throughout the year. Being able to walk to local attractions and not far from all that greater Los Angeles has to offer is a great advantage. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with towels and bedding including beach towels provided. The kitchen is large and has all the equipment that you need to eat in every day if you so desire. There are cable channels and a DVD and VCR. WiFi included. Get a feeling for living in Santa Monica as the locals do in this quiet neighborhood close to the beach.

    • Great location near the beach, restaurants, shops,very very quiet street with trees and flowers, easy parking, all the comfort in this ground floor of a nice house. Large kitchen, best shower in town, laundry facilities in the appartment, huge refrigerator, nice guests. Easy access to the freeway. Easy to find. We'll come back (we were a family of 5, with 3 teens). C'est l'endroit idéal pour un séjour à Santa Monica, le quartier le plus agréable de Los Angeles quand on n'est pas une star de ciné (Venice est bruyant et surencombré, Beverly Hills inabordable, Hollywood au bout du monde). A cinq minutes à pied de la plage et de la piste à velos, rollers, etc, à deux minutes en voiture du centre ville pour les paresseux, à une dizaine de minutes à pied de la rue piétonne 3rd street ou des restaurants de Main Street, dans une charmante rue non passante pleine de verdure, avec un permis parking pour se garer juste en face de la maison. C'est le rez de chaussée reposant d'une maison agréable, avec tout le confort souhaité, machines à laver et sécher, douche incroyable, grande cuisine. On se sent chez soi pour moins cher qu'un hôtel. Les hôtes sont très accueillants. Accès très facile à l'autoroute, à vingt minutes de l'aéroport. Très facile à trouver sur la carte et dans Los Angeles. Nous étions une famille de 5, avec 3 ados ravis. On reviendra ;)

      We loved Santa Monica, great location midway between Venice and SaMo & easy access to Beverly Hills & Hollywood & airport. Plenty of shops walking distance but location is also nice & quiet. WiFi much appreciated as was the basic provisions in the pantry. We were secretly pleased that the TV was not working for 2 nights & really enjoyed the compensating cookies which were quickly devoured after a long day at Disneyland.

      Back to visit Santa Monica, eight years after moving away - This was the perfect house for our stay! We made dinner and had old friends over a couple of nights - great to have all the necessary pots & pans & dishes in the kitchen! Our daughter is almost eight, so it was really nice to have somewhere she could call "home" while we're away from home... 2112 3rd was very easy to settle into - thanks!

      Great location - managed to walk from house to 3rd St. Promenade - Abbott Kinney - Main Street for shopping! Went bike riding and played bowls in Santa Monica - had a great time! So nice to come back to a home at the end of the day rather than a motel room. One thing that was also great was the house was stocked with lots of basics so could survive until went shopping and no need to buy some things! Thanks so much!
