The Grapevine is a warm and relaxing cottage nestled among the quaint and beautiful Montmorenci Vineyards in Aiken, SC. Our little slice of heaven is located right in the hub of Aiken's ever growing equestrian community. Whether you are attending the Steeple Chase, Polo Tournaments, or just enjoy being surrounded by beautiful horses...this is the place for you. The open floor plan and beautifully decorated spaces provide a spacious and inviting atmosphere to relax and wind down after a fun and exciting day of shopping downtown Aiken's unique shops, attending the many equestrian, sporting events and fun-filled festivals occurring almost weekly. The list of things to do in Aiken is endless. A short five minute drive takes you to downtown Aiken's Hopeland Gardens and historic Hitchcock Woods. Also, five minutes or less will get you to polo, soccer, baseball and softball events including the World Class Gold Cup Polo and Polo Farms. Big thirsty towels and high count bed linens will be provided for all guests and maid service is available upon request for an extra charge. Why the Owner Chose Aiken
We chose Aiken because this is where we have lived our entire lives. Aiken has become a favorite city to visit because of its beauty, friendly people, sports events and equestrian activities. There are always special events going on in Aiken on a weekly basis, but if you just want to relax and enjoy then you can't beat the peaceful yet small town atmosphere it provides.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
The Grapevine is located in the perfect area. We are in a country setting that is less than a 5 mile drive to downtown and most of the parks and sites that you might want to visit. We are also a 20 minute drive to Augusta, GA which has its own share of wonderful places to visit. If you are a horse lover, the Grapevine is located right next door to a beautiful horse farm that offers riding lessons.

The Grapevine Cottage is jointly owned by Larry Buff and Vickie Martin. We are both natives of Aiken where most of our family members also live. Larry has 3 grown children and I have 2 grown children. We wouldn't think of living anywhere else but Aiken. We also both work at Savannah River Site (Savannah River Nuclear Solutions) for over 20 years.
Our home is both cozy and inviting and lends itself to the perfect spot to stay for your next visit to Aiken. We love to share our "secret spots" in Aiken (Restaurants, Bars, Historic Sites, etc.) We are all inclusive and take pride in providing the best anemities available. If you are looking to visit a beautiful city and desire to stay in a unique yet homey atmosphere, then the Grapevine is for you!
