  When we saw this condo on here we were excited, but kept our expectations low since pictures can be misleading. WOW we're we blown away by how wonderful this place was. The view was breath taking, the condo was perfect and the location was literally right on the beach! The owners are very sweet and accommodating. The condo itself was very nice and has everything you need, just bring clothes and toiletries. Oh, and the bed was pretty comfy! The beach chairs and cooler made our vacation. All we wanted to do was sit on the beach during the day and listen to waves at night, this place was just perfect for it. We will definitely stay here again when we come back. Highly recommend! Thank you for allowing us the perfect stress free vacation!

  My recent stay at the Royal Kahana VRBO 196495 was excellent. This was my 4th trip to Maui and I've become pretty particular on having an ocean front view (and without leaving the comfort of your room). I have also stayed at the Royal Kahana before and was tentative to return because we were previously on the north side of the building; this side does have ocean views, but you don't see the sun...quite disappointing when you are here for the sun. This Condo taught me a lesson: if staying in this building make sure you are on the south side (rooms ending in 11 or higher), of which this unit has the 2nd BEST view in the building. I studied the building while here and the "12's" are the only units on the south side that are not stepped back a notch (as you move away from the ocean the unit lanai's step back behind the closer unit so a slight wall starts to block your frontal view.) In a nut shell this is to say that this is the best 1 bedroom location in the building. I would absolutely stay here again, and enjoyed every minute of it. The washer and dryer was so handy with our little guy, great kitchen and shower. I believe this unit just recently switched managers, we booked with Ann and she was incredibly helpful during booking. Upon arrival Ann indicated that Josh had taken over this unit. Josh was awesome, we had a lock problem and he fixed it within hours. He also gave us great flexibility on check out, and this was a HUGE benefit to us. The reason for the 4 stars is the internet access. We were informed upon booking that internet was available for a fee at the resort, and for us internet access was necessary; being from Canada our cellular plans kill us if trying to use this data in the US. We arrived and I bought the pay wireless...it is completely unreliable: you can not access it using apple devices, and my laptop could only connect sporadically, and when connected was very slow. Also the few times we could connect I found out you can only connect one device at a time. Do not come here expecting to have internet access. We like to use Netflix on vacation and this became impossible, not to mention everything else you need internet for. I would highly recommend that the owners invest in internet access directly in the room so that guests here have reliable access, it's a must in today's accommodations. I'd have to consider other properties first because of this. Internet would be inexpensive to the owner & should be provided. Recommended otherwise.

  My wife and I stayed at this property October 2012 for a week vacation. Everything about the condo met or exceeded our expectations. It comes complete with high quality bed, bedding, towels, kitchen equipment and beach chairs. Our weather was in the high 80s and sunny every day. The pool, beach, BBQs, parking and internet all met our needs. The condo is within a two minute walk to a convience store and a couple of restraunts. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to shopping, excursions, shows, and many more restraunts. Overall we had a great time and would recomend it to others.

  Wow! This condo did not disappoint! Everything was clean and neat, and had a well appointed kitchen and great supplies to go to the beach (towels, cooler, chairs). You cannot beat the view from the living room, bedroom or lanai. We enjoyed spectacular rainows and sunsets each day. The location of the condo, in Kahana, made it very easy to hop on to the highway to drive north on the coast line or to head south to Lahaina to shop. We can't wait to go back!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

  I was very pleased with this condo during my stay on Maui! The view from the lanai was just beautiful and we ended up spending a lot of our time there just enjoying the view, the ocean breeze, and spotting the occasional sea turtle. Sunsets were also amazing from the lanai - so much color! The condo is completely stocked with everything you would need during your stay including beach chairs and a cooler. The furnishings are as described and we felt very comfortable staying here. As mentioned in a few other reviews, the keyless entry is a great help with having your arms full of beach gear or groceries and not having to worry about fumbling with a keycard. The condo was also perfect home base for day trips to the top of Haleakal? and the Road to Hana. The aforementioned cooler was perfect for packing a picnic lunch to enjoy on Haleakal? and the black sand beach of Wai‘anapanapa State Park. Knowing a very comfortable vacation home awaited made the drive home from these locations go by pretty quick. All in all this was one of my favorite vacation spots and we look forward to coming back in the future!

  We arrived to find the condo exactly as described by the owner and other visitors. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed including a pitcher for drinks. The bathroom shower was a big hit with my family. The condo was clean and felt like we were at home. It was fantastic to have a washer and dryer right there to wash what minimal clothes we brought. There were chairs and scuba equipment right there for our use. Ann called us upon our arrival to ensure that we were satisfied with everything and was very helpful throughout the reservation process. I hope to be back soon! Thanks Ann for making this a wonderful trip that we will remember for years to come!!

• Amazing Place to Stay!!

  This was our first experience with renting a condo instead of going with a hotel, and it was the best decision ever!!! The condo is so nicely decorated and very comfortable, my kids ages 12 &10 slept on the pull out couch and slept very well, as did my husband and I in the seperate bedroom. We loved the keyless entry especially with the kids, we could come and go without having to hunt for keys. The kitchen has everything you could ask for, and it was perfect having the ability to cook. The views and location are what sold us on the place but we would rent again because it was such a great experience and we all had such an amazing time. I was even able to see the sea turtles from the lanai and made it down to the pool to get the kids so I could show them. They were even able to see them up close. Thanks Ann and Rohn, we loved it!!

  We like the apartment very much. Cozy romantic place and also great for families. We came with our 14 months old and place was everything we expected and more. Here are highlights of what we liked: - Right on the ocean and has super view with sunset - Keyless entry came in really handy going in and out a lot and not worrying about carrying the keys. - Furniture is new and all the renovation (kitchen, bathroom etc) - There is plenty of kitchenware. We never went out to eat because of the baby and always cooked in apartment. Kitchen had all we needed. - Washer and drier came in handy. - Complex has carts in the lobby very handy bringing in luggage and groceries. -close to shops. Right across the street is gas station and grocery store. Couple minutes of driving is farmers market that has great fresh fruits selection Previously we stayed at Makena which is considered higher end and more quiet. This time in Kahana we liked it just as much. I'd recommend this apartment to a friend.

  Ann and Rohn have done a beautiful job on this gorgeous ocean view condo. We have stayed at various spots in this area and 812 has all you will need to enjoy Maui and more. The view from your first step into the unit is of the ocean! The condo is updated and tastefully appointed, it has lovely comfy furniture, a sofa bed, and a beautifully remodeled kitchen. The bedroom is very nice with tropical furniture and an ocean view too! The bathroom is also very nicely remodeled. We Love Hawaii for the ocean views and sunsets and this unit does not disappoint- it has a great vantage point for both. Of course, lounging on the lanai watching the waves roll in is the perfect pastime in paradise. The unit also had extras- like noodles and beach chairs!!! The pool is large, nice and the new (to us) snack bar has great prices, smoothies and a tasty burger- very convenient! All in All, we love the Royal Kahana (easy parking and great proximity to local amenities) and as far as Unit 812 goes... it's Perfect. Also, Ann was very helpful and easy to work with, the grocery store (Napili Market) is minutes away. We loved Mama's Ribs & Chicken next to the market and happy hour & 2 for 1 dinner at the Sands of Kahana is worth the few minute walk next door! aloha
