The mission of the owner was to create something not duplicatable in charm and romance and every detail reflects the highest standard of modern comforts inside old San Miguel.
Decorated exclusively with Mexican art, furniture and crafts, this home will wrap you in special feeling of a dream-like Mexican paradise. When you step off the street into its long entrance lined stone passageway fountain, where you will be transported into a serene island of paradise where all your cares and concerns will melt away.
This home offers one floor living except for the master bedroom and the upper terraces which are located on the second floor. This one floor living combined with it's center of town location means this home offers easy access to all the charms of San Miguel. Being less than two blocks from the Jardin, guests of Casa Lupita is in the exact center of all San Miguel's attractions, churches, restaurants and shops. The striking roof terrace puts you literally "on top" of the many church steeples and historic buildings of Centro San Miguel. This bird's eye view is just magnificent at sunset while enjoying a drink watching the changing sky to the west.There is ample outdoor living space, including a beautiful roof terrace that has a spectacular view of the baroque spires of the Parroquia. This is a home where you can really let your clock wind-down and get on ";Mexican Time".
With ample room for a large group (sleeps 8 -- sorry no children due to the level of decor) this home will provide a wonderful home base for lots of adventures. The four bedrooms all have private baths and the bedrooms are laid out to include two queen bedded bedrooms, one with king and one with twin beds. The bedrooms have beautiful authentic fireplaces, sumptuous linens and appointments second to none.
Casa Lupita has a water purification system. It has 4 fireplaces with gas logs and 3 calentadores (the large clay pots with gas jets and lava rocks in them).
There is a cook/maid and gardener on staff at Casa Lupita to pamper your every need and make sure you have the best experience possible in the heart of the city. The full time maid who does all the house work, changes linens twice a week and makes and serves breakfast (tenants provide groceries for breakfast, or the maid can but the groceries for you) She is there Monday through Friday from 9:15 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 9:15 am to 2:00 pm. She speaks English. The houseman /gardener works Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm He does all the heavy work and upkeep. The home is complete with cable television service (with US and Mexican channels), high speed wireless internet and telephones.
