The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
The location of the cabin is so peaceful and quite. We were glad that even though it is very private it was not extremely remote. It is easy to get to town from the cabin and shopping is nearby. We love the view of the mountains and when we first stepped onto the balcony and saw the view we fell in love with the place. It is lovely with the stone fireplace and cathedral ceilings and we did not feel cramped there. With ample room to move around the game room downstairs we always enjoy our time there.
The first gold rush took place here. A gold mine is still here where you can pan for gold as well as a museum to tour with your family. Great for the whole family.
The Georgia Mountain Fair is located here and the fairground is the site of many events throughout the year.
This river is famous for great whitewater rafting tours. It was once the site of an event during the summer olympics. Great famiy fun and beautiful drive.
Fantastic outlet mall shopping at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville.
Merciers Apple Orchard has many varieties of apples and you can even pick your own. They also have a gift shop and bakery. The Merciers now have cherry and blueberry groves as well. Great place to vis
Owner's Map of Blairsville
We have vacationed in the Blairsville for many years and looked forward to the day we could spend more time there. Our dream came true when we bought our home there and we always look forward to spending time there. Our sons and their families and our 5 grandchildren love visiting with us there. We love the outdoors and spend time hiking together and visiting the many waterfalls and State Parks in the area. We have made so many wonderful memories together there. We are glad to be doing that now with our little grandchildren as often as our work at our family construction business and cabinet shop allows us the time to get away. We plan to retire there someday.

This vacation home exceeded all of my expectations! I loved everything about the house. The views, space, and fun activities in and around the house are excellent. When we arrived, the house was extremely clean and has a very "homey" feeling to it. This vacation home will always be a special part of my life because I proposed to my fiance here. I could not have asked for a better place to do it at and I would absolutely stay here in the future! A big thanks to Janet as well, for helping me through the entire process and giving us great insight of where to go and things to do.
Owner response:We have a great staff that help us make this a special place to visit. When the cabin is clean and comfortable then it is a better experience from the beginning. Many thanks to our housekeeper. Making happy memories is very important to us and we hope that you will make some as well. Time with family and friends is time well spent!

Came down here for a week in August and had to rely solely on the VRBO ad and reviews. We were not disapointed. Absolutely beautiful! The cabin is well maintained and the views were spectacular. Blairsville is not real touristy, which we prefer. We plan to stay there again!

My wife, my parents and I stayed at Mountain Light Cabin for a wedding in October. The cabin was exactly what we needed to relax during a hectic wedding weekend. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to drink coffee on the patio with the view of the mountains in the background. My family enjoyed the cabin and we will consider staying here again in the future when we need a getaway to the mountains

We rented this cabin for our family vacation in October. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us. GREAT views, nice hot tub, pool table was great entertainment, just overall a great place. It was centrally located to all the things going on in the mountains during October. We hope to come back again sometime.
Owner response:We believe you will find the location a perfect one too. Easy access to main roads to many of the areas popular with visitors.

Rented this cabin for 4 days over Columbus Day weekend. It was wonderful. Each morning you could look out over the valley and watch as the fall colors emerged. The cabin is beautiful and well equipped. The children especially enjoyed the game room in the basement. Thanks so much for offering this cabin to us.

We stayed with our family at this cabin recently. We all loved our stay and got to spend some good family time there. The cabin looks even better than the pictures posted. We had to make some modifications to our dates in the last minute because our son fell sick and Janet was really nice to make the necessary changes.
Owner response:We do our best to make certain you enjoy your stay at our place. When the unexpected happens we will work with you on making other plans or adjusting the plans you have already made.

Great cabin, great hot tub and fireplace, and lots of space. We've stayed twice now and will go back!
Owner response:We believe you too will want to return again and again once you have stayed at Mountain Light Lodge. The hot tub is available year round so you can enjoy it even with snow on the ground. A cozy fire in the wood burning fireplace is a perfect way to end to a day of activities. A perfect location and great views will make you glad you chose this cabin.

BEST VRBO I HAVE EVER RENTED!!!

Let me start by saying, thank you Janet. I have rented several vrbo properties and this has been the best. If you look at the pictures on the website of this cabin and think "is this truly what it looks like"? Don't second guess, it is truly what it looks like. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the wonderful view of the fall leaves, it was so peaceful and is truly GOD'S COUNTRY! Upon entering the cabin, the first words out of my husband's mouth was "it still smells new" and it truly does. Janet was absolutely the best to work with, the cabin has above average furnishings, it was very clean and comfortable and the directions to locate the cabin as well as entry into the cabin itself were spot on! Our mini-schnauzer and toy-schnauzer enjoyed the back deck and no worry because they could not get off the deck. Ample parking, beds, a full size washer and dryer(which you don't find in most cabin rentals), perfect basement area with games, pool table etc. Next time we visit family we will absolutely stay again in this cabin. I even had to call Janet on Sunday afternoon to ask a question about checking out (only because I couldn't find my paperwork that she had provided me) and she immediately answered the phone and answered my question without hesitation. Fantastic value, fantastic people. Thanks Again~Janet, Ken, Karen, Maggie & Molly from Springfield, Missouri
Owner response:We do our best to make sure our cabin is exactly as advertised. We want you to feel it was an incredible value and more than you expected! If you are planning a visit to the area we invite you to try our cabin once and we believe you will want to come again and again.

If you are looking for rest, relaxation, comfort, and beauty, it doesn't get any better than at this cabin. I have visited twice and each time it was wonderful. To sit on the balcony and watch the sun come up in the morning is a sight to behold with all of God's majesty in full color. There are also many places to visit that are close by including a state park if you want to get out and explore the area. I highly recommend this vacation spot to everyone.
Owner response:A satisfied guests like this one is what we think you will be when you stay at Mountain Light Lodge. The price is very reasonable and the setting is private but not too far from town or the local quick grocery stop. The price, the privacy the easy access to town and the many activities usually make our guests want to come back again and again. Many extend their stay after arriving and finding it is even better than the pictures make it look. Make your reservation soon and find out for yourself! We believe you will want to come again and again!
