Built in 1995-1996, the lodge itself is a magnificent 6,500 square foot custom log home with expansive wrap-around decks offering views of the majestic La Plata Mountains, the Florida Mesa, and abundant wildlife. Open floor plans, cathedral ceilings, and soaring windows provide views of deer, elk, and wild turkey seen almost daily year-round. Inside the lodge, seven bedrooms will accommodate 20 guests with room for more upon request.

The main floor has two full-size sofas as well as additional seating for comfortable relaxation and is situated around a floor to ceiling woodburning river rock fireplace with satellite television and a DVD/VCR. Several entryways provide access to covered decks with panoramic views. Private bedrooms include shared full baths and another half bath with shower just around the corner. The center island provides casual seating. The mudroom offers a full-size washer and dryer, a full upright freezer, and a large open pantry.

The lower living area also has a full-size sofa and chair seating around a second river rock fireplace and satellite television with a DVD/VCR. It hosts four private bedrooms including a kids "dorm room" with a bassinet and one shared full bath. Two entryways provide access to covered patios.

Take the log staircase to the upper level and you will find the master suite complete with a rustic aspen log frame king-size bed and two private decks with views that will take your breath away. The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, double vanity, and a spacious walk-in closet that includes an extra sleeping area with futon, a ping pong table, or a secluded place to just be alone with your thoughts and relax.

Accommodations total two king-size beds, two queen-size beds, one full-size bed, four twin beds, one bunk bed, and two futon sleepers. Radiant in-floor heating is accented by oak hardwoods, carpet, slate, and saltillo tile.

In conjunction with the Lodge for larger parties, the guesthouse will sleep 4 comfortably. Situated as a studio apartment or "mother-in-law" quarters above the 3 car garage, it offers the same stupendous views and peaceful settings as the Lodge, located approximately 60 yards directly north.

Located at 7487', the fully fenced 76 acres of ponderosa and juniper pine covered ground around the lodge offer endless nature trail hiking, snowshoeing, snow sledding, mountain biking, picnicking, barbecuing, horseshoes, and a ski run in the winter months to keep busy during your stay.

    • We had 18 people at Rincon for 5 days over New Years and couldn't have had a better time! The house is amazing - great kitchen, huge deck with gorgeous views, plenty of comfortable bedrooms, and tons room for various concurrent activities. The driveway & ski run provided hours (days?) of snow fun. And the location is perfect - you feel totally secluded, but it's easy access to nearby amenities & activities. We had people in our group come all the way from Italy, Singapore, New York, California & Texas, and everyone was effusive in their praise of the place (and of us for finding it!). Marty & Scott were great communicators and made everything go very smoothly. Thanks for a vacation to remember!

    • Our family stayed here for Christmas and it was incredible. It snowed every day and the views were breathtaking. The kids had such fun sledding. The lodge was beautiful and so comfortable. Everything was clean and Scott was a great host. The driveway was kept plowed, so we didn't have any trouble getting in and out. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Made a wonderful memory for our grandchildren and for us.Thank you.

    • WOW! What a fantastic place for a fmaily gathering! We used the house for a long weekend to gather for a wedding in Durango and couldn't have asked for a nicer place- fantastic views, excellent amenities and furnishings, and very helpful and accommodating owner and staff. Kids especially loved the horseshoes and the ping pong! This is about 20 minutes from downtown, and a relatively easy commute to any where in the Durango area. I'd recommend the Rincon experience to anyone, thanks Marty!

    • Marty, Thanks for letting us enjoy your property for our family reunion. It was an ideal setting for our 16. We had plenty of room. The kitchen was terrific. My grandchildren loved the surround decks and frequently ask if they can go back to the "big cabin". We were rejuvenated by the beautiful views and the total privacy of the lodge. Christi

    Joe ,
    • Our family thoroughly enjoyed your home last week. It was everything we expected and more. The views are spectacular... Hot water and pressure were more than adequate as well as the cleanliness of the house upon our arrival. The Bridges couldn't have been more accomodating and helpful. They seemed to be satisfied with our efforts to keep your place in good shape. The only other suggestion was that several family members are "green" and would have liked to recycle. We did take a couple of loads of bottles to the recyle center in town. Thanks again. joe younger and family

    • We had about 20 people including many kids staying in the Lodge and Guest house for a family reunion and it was absolutely perfect! It was spacious and comfortable and we ate most meals together. Very family friendly! The views are truly breathtaking and memorable. Saw elk from deck one morning, passed deer everyday along the road to town, which was only 20 mins away. We will come back!

    • Ten of us arrive with oohs and aah at the sight of the lodge and when we got inside what a delight. The rooms were all large and comfortable. We brought some cooking utinsles but found we did not need anything. The men loved the horseshoes, we did not use the game and weight room except to hang clothes. I did hit my head a couple times on that short door going into the game room. Yes, I am a slow learner. We had deer in the front and back area on several mornings and evenings. Scott was very helpful when the bathroom door fell off its bearings. When it was time to go everyone said Scott is going to Mexico think he will notice we are staying an extra week. Loved the stay.

    • What a wonderful place! my wife and I along with our 2 children, and two other couples stayed for a week. Everyone loved it. The photos do not do justice to the lodge or the surrounding view. The lodge is spacious and beautiful. The kitchen is marvelous( I love to cook). The beds are comfortable, the showers are great, the floors are heated.......etc...... If you want to spend some time relaxing, and watching wildlife, you don't have to leave the property. We couldn't come up with anything even close to negative about this place. 8 thumbs up from our group!! Thanks again, Steve
