Echo Creek Cabin is our old-fashioned log cabin, ideal for a peaceful Rocky Mountain getaway with all the convenient comforts of home. Relax in a hammock on the full length fabulously rustic log porch with the hummingbirds flitting about, or curl up with a book in front of the cheery red woodstove in the old stone fireplace.
A short drive from Colorado Springs to Woodland Park, then 20 minutes north on scenic Highway 67 brings you to Westcreek: A pretty valley that was surrounded but survived the notorious Hayman Fire of 2002, with stands of grand ponderosas, a meandering stream, a quiet private fishing lake and songbirds and wildlife in abundance. This is a Colorado mountain retreat that is close and accessible to city amenities but rural in character and charm. It's a 1930's historic true log structure, with knotty pine paneling and woodwork throughout, completely renovated and made new, including new kitchen, plumbing, wiring, heat system and windows.
The porch is one of the grandest around, built in the rustic log tradition, a great place to relax and listen to the rain on the roof. No cats, but well behaved dogs OK with approval. Main level, including living/dining, kitchen, bedroom and bath is original. 2 more bedrooms, family room with gas stove, and bath with shower finish out the walk out lower level. It's an amazing place, come stay awhile!
UPDATE: Echo Creek Cabin has now been rented for the rest of this season and will next be available late spring of '09. Please check back with us next Spring to make your plans for next summer; we'd love to have you visit then! Thanks |
