We could not have wished for any better place for our family's mini-reunion before our soldier grandson deploys to Aghanistan! The setting is spiritually uplifting, and the house, with 3 stories, was large enough to accommodate all 13 of us plus dinner guests, while also offering several areas for smaller groups or more intimate conversation. The master suite is delightfully private. We saw deer every day and were visited once by a bear in the front yard, who just ambled on about his business without bothering anyone. There are neighbors, but you'd not know it, given the wooded surround. Plenty of outdoor space, too, on the high deck with glorious views out over the valley and to Pike's Peak. The house is well-stocked and comfy. Within 5 minutes, you can get to Garden of the Gods Road and immediate access to supermarkets and tourist attractions. Dan is a gracious and thoughtful host. It was so hard to leave...
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This home was perfect for our Parents Weekend stay. It has a "Million Dollar View" with lots of space for family & friends. It's an older home so don't expect "like new" condition but it is very homey with some upgrades such as the big screen theatre system. The hot tub & pool table were awesome but the dart board was down. Location is perfect, central but secluded and private. Deer constantly roam all over the neighborhood as well as other small wildlife. We'll have memories that will last a lifetime from our stay. Thanks Dan :-)

Excellent rental home for me and my 4 sons - we really enjoyed our week! Plenty of space and a terrific pool table on the lower level. Great views of Pikes Peak and surrounding area. Convenient to all Colorado Springs attractions as well as Arkansas River rafting trips.
