Welcome to your own little piece of South Maui paradise in our cool and comfortable vacation home. Since we purchased it in 2005 we have lovingly remodeled and redecorated to make it feel like home away from home! We try to get over at least twice a year. We hope you will be one of our repeat guests!
Our ground floor condo boasts an over sized lanai with large potted plants to provide privacy while you enjoy your morning coffee or the evening sunset outside. Inside, you will find everything you can possibly want to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen was completely remodeled in 2008 and has upgraded new appliances, cabinetry and counter tops, and a full-size refrigerator with freezer. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you have at home, and more! We tend to eat in quite often which saves quite a bit of money! Kick back in the living room to watch television on our 32" flat screen TV, a movie on the new DVD player or listen to your CD’s on the stereo; or select a book from the case for your reading enjoyment. Of course, if you just can’t live without your laptop we have complimentary hi-speed internet (wireless or modem) access for you as well! There is a queen bed in the bedroom with new memory foam mattress and extra pillows, a comfortable, reupholstered queen sleeper sofa in the living room and an upgraded vanity in the nicely decorated bathroom. If you open the slider and the bedroom window a glorious breeze flows through the condo keeping it nice and cool, so you don’t even need to turn on the A/C. The Hunter ceiling fans assist when the trades aren’t blowing. We are also in the process of replacing the windows with fixed dual pane ones instead of the jalousie (louvered) variety to provide more insulation. Note: We just redecorated the interior with mirrored closet doors, wood blinds throughout and new draperies! Just completed October 2011 and track lighting in the kitchen was installed February 2012.
But of course, the real reason you’re in Maui isn’t for the lodging – it’s for the BEACH! And the best beach in Kihei, Charley Young/Kamaole One Beach, is just a 2-minute walk across the street from your lanai! You are welcome to use our beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, mats, toys, floaties and cooler located in the hall closets. We just ask that you shake off the sand before you put them away :-) After a day at the beach, laundry is taken care of because we have a washer and dryer as well. All the comforts of home!
The Maui Vista resort has 3 swimming pools, 3 tennis courts and top of the line gas BBQ’s to enjoy too. We enjoy using the grills quite often, and they are within a short distance from the front door. Many fine restaurants and markets are also within walking distance. The condo is located just 3 miles from Wailea, host to 5 championship golf courses and many shops. You’re never far from anything when you stay in Kihei! Maui No Ka Oi!

Why the Owner Chose Maui Vista
Kihei is such a friendly, family town and we like that it doesn't have high rise hotels and resorts, and it by far has the best beaches! One of which is directly across the street from the condo (Charley Young Beach, which connects to Kamaole One.) You can literally walk all the way to Wailea on the beach from Charley Young Beach! That is our daily walk, with the occasional stop to snorkel along the way. The Maui Vista is only 3 miles from Wailea and world class golf courses, and within walking distance of so many restaurants, grocery stores, shops and beaches. When our children would visit when they weren't old enough to rent cars, they could walk to everything.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Being on the ground floor is a plus in our opinion; larger lanai, ease of access, no stairs or elevators to contend with when carting in groceries. Having the larger lanai enables us to have a patio table with 4 chairs and still have room to move around. The lanai's on the upper floors can only fit a table for two. We like to spread out and having the lawn just beyond our lanai allows us to do that. A beautiful hibiscus hedge separates the property from the sidewalk. We are in building one, directly across from the beach! The Maui Vista has a swimming pool, tennis courts and high-end gas BBQ grills at each of the 3 buildings.

You can walk from Kamaole 1 around the spit (good snorkeling here) to Kamaole 11 Beach.
Again, walking distance from Charley Young Beach. We do this walk each morning, occasionally stopping to snorkel along the way.

We just love Maui! So much so in fact that we were married in Wailea in 2006. Of all the Hawaiian islands, we feel more at home on Maui. We bought our vacation condo at the Maui Vista in August 2005 and since then have purchased another condo in Kihei which is being rented out full time. That one we hope to retire to in a few years. We live in Sonoma County wine country, 60 miles north of San Francisco, and we both work at a winery. My husband is an executive chef and I'm in marketing. We love both northern California and Maui so we feel we have the best of both worlds!

I loved this location, walking distance of anything you can think of! This condo was clean, had everything we needed and more! Lots of beach supplies, even a cooler not to mention all the kitchen supplies. It was on a walkway and you could hear people talking as they walked by during the day. But there is a quiet time enforced at 10pm, we never had any problems with loudness. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Well it was everything we were looking for and more. I loved the location and the bed was very comfortable. We did get a couple of racks to BBQ fish on and a couple of larger plastic containers that I use for making Mango/pineapple salsa. Hope others can use them. I visited the other couples places (also in Maui Vista) and felt that the place we had was above and beyond what they had. If their was one thing that could be improved it would be the keyed lock on the front door, you really had to jiggle it to get the door unlocked. I could see where this might be a problem for some people. I would rent your place again and recommend it to my friends. Thank you,"

We stayed in this condo when we got married in Maui and it was a perfect place to be right across the road from the beach, complete with boogie boards! We especially liked being on the ground floor when we had our luggage, food shopping or beach stuff to carry! We really did not want to leave! We hope to come back one day and Deb the owner is so friendly so its easy to book, and the management company on Maui really helpful.

The condo is very well equipped, lots of beach gear so you don't have to rent any. The owner is a lovely person, very obliging and quick to respond to any queries. She even phoned in the middle of the night when we had the Tsunami warning to check on us. We had no problem with noise at night as there is a double glazed window in the bedroom and the bedroom is not on the street. The condo property is well kept and the management very nice to deal with. The beach is excellent for swimming and so close and convenient to walk to just across the street. Lots of good restaurants and food shopping within walking distance and bus service all over the island too.

Mahalo Deb and Phil. We loved our stay at your condo in Maui! (May 16-23) Everything was perfect. The bed was super comfortable we didn't really notice very much noise. We appreciated being able to use the chairs and boogie boards in the hall closet. We loved the close access to the beach across the street. It was so convenient. We ate our breakfast on the lanai. All the little special touches to the place make you feel at home and we will definitely stay there again when in Maui. We have already recommended your place to friends. Thanks again!

We stayed at Deb and Phil's condo from April 19-26, 2010. The condo itself is as described by others. And it is directly across the street from a beach. What you should know is that it's a V-E-R-Y busy street, and the patio is about 30 feet from it. The bedroom is on the other end of the condo, fronting the walkway that everyone uses to traverse from the parking lot to the elevator of this building (usually while talking loudly). No insulation (and the louvers are usually open), so even someone walking in flip-flops woke me up. Maddening! I might consider this complex again, but I would move to building 2 or 3 away from the street.
Owner response:Alas, as is described in our listing, we are a front row condo and with that does come some noise. Unfortunately some people are more affected by it than others. After the first day we tend not to notice anymore, as many previous guests also mention.

Aloha Deb n' Phil. We had such a good time during our 12 night vacation at your condo. Maui Vista is a clean, well managed, safe and secure condo complex. Great location in Kihei, right across the street from the nicest beach. In addition to answering all e-mails right away, Deb provided us with "Late check in" instructions which worked out nicely. Being on the ground floor is nice, and you can park your car just steps from the door. Everything about this condo is as described. We found it to be clean and it lacked nothing, and the owners encourage renters to let them know if there is anything that could be added. Stay at Deb n' Phils when you are visiting Maui, you won't be disappointed! Greg and Linda Young
