Great house, so many beds, comfortable for a large group, hot tub on the deck is great, screened porch is great for big meals, great spices for cooking too! Michael went out of his way to help, answer questions, assist with payment, etc. Would go back

I went to this lovely home for three nights with my family to revisit the area. It was a beautiful home that was accurately depicted in the photos on the website. The grounds were spacious and quite, which was just what we were looking for. The hot tub worked great, the house was clean and while my kids moaned about no TV, it made for some great music listening time. The house had wifi so they were wired up and happy. It was close to the Bearsville Cafe and the town of Woodstock. I would stay in this house again, anytime!

My friends and I were looking for a quiet little weekend get-away from the city - and we found it in Bearsville! It's such a great location - so quiet and peaceful. The house is wonderful - there were 7 of us, and room to spare! We spent a lot of time together in the living room / kitchen preparing meals, playing boardgames, or enjoying the wood stove. We also spent a LOT of time in the hot tub, even when it was snowing! Aside from the house, we spent an afternoon hiking nearby, and also did a little window shopping in Woodstock - about a 10min drive from the house. From the first inquiry about the house to signing the rental agreement, the owners were very easy to work with. This place will definitely be considered again if we ever need a little weekend away!

Had a wonderful weekend away here with friends. The cabin was beautiful and clean. It had all the amenities that we needed. The detailed house instructions the owners provided us with made our stay so easy and pleasant. It was a secluded peaceful area and the Hot Tub was a great hit. Very close to Woodstock and The Bear Cafe. We had dinner there one night and had to go back for brunch on the way home. We defintely plan on renting this again in the Summer.

There were six of us that stayed in this house for a weekend trip. The house was wonderful, the property beautiful and the town of Woodstock was great. The house was exactly what we were hoping it would be. Lots of outside patios to eat and drink, plenty of sleeping room and wonderful amenities. The hot tub was one of our favorite features of the house. We were also big fans of the wood stove, it kept the house very cozy. Also, Michael left wonderful instructions on care for the house so we felt extra at home. We will definitely plan on renting this property again. Thanks Michael for a wonderful weekend!

Just got back from a long weekend at this house with a group of 8 friends (4 couples). It was the perfect combination of cabin/rustic feeling meets comfortable luxury. Very clean, fully stocked with linens, plenty of towels, every pot/pan and kitchen appliance you could possibly need. Loved the great decoration details that we kept discovering throughout the weekend. The highlight of the house (interior at least) is the large living room and kitchen area, which has a wood burning stove, tons of windows, great views, and opens onto the large front porch. It was plenty big enough for 8 adults to lounge around comfortably and cook indulgent feasts all weekend. And of course, the large hot tub on the back deck is a major selling point and was a huge hit with my group. As for privacy, this place is as secluded as it looks in the pics. We felt like we were the only people on the planet all weekend. The town of Woodstock looked nice when we drove through, but honestly we didn't feel the need to leave the property once during our stay.

It was the perfect place to relax with friends while enjoying the outdoor hot tub, cooking in their beautiful kitchen complete with all the equipment you might need to prepare a delicious meal, relaxing in either of their porches overlooking the beautiful landscape, or soundly sleeping in any of their 4 cozy bedrooms. I highly recommend this lovely cabin in the woods to anyone looking for some serenity and relaxation away from the city.

I rent a house somewhere upstate at least once a year, and so far this one was the easiest AND the best value. The written directions of course proved to be more helpful than GPS or Google. So getting there was easy, even on a dark rainy night. The kitchen had TONS of supplies, e.g. plates and glasses, so we weren't constantly having to worry. Music speakers wired throughout the house made it chill in the evening when we weren't out back enjoying the hot tub. But my favorite part was definitely the turtle that came to hang out with us on the front lawn! He (she?) seemed like he knew the way around so we tried not to bother him. A+ experience!

This home was all that it was described, and more. Comfrotable well-equipped home. Several seprate living areas makes this home work well with groups, or an intimate get together. Enough shade to be cool in the summer, and close to the town of Woodstock for dining shopping etc. A wonderful find, we will be back!

If you want to get away from the bustling city life and relax in a private, wooded setting...look no further. I rented this beautiful house for my family members during my wedding weekend. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, well taken care of, not to mention quaint and cozy. The interior is to die for...nice sized bedrooms, fantastic bathroom, beautiful open kitchen, lots of deck space and a hot tub to boot. And the location is perfect...tucked away in the woods for some much needed privacy, yet a short drive to all the cool spots in Woodstock. Thank you Michael for allowing my family to enjoy Woodstock the way it deserves to be experienced. We will absolutely rent from you again.

We stayed at this lovely, peaceful house in early May 2011, with a party made up of 3 families, which included 6 adults, 3 toddlers and 2 babies. The house was ideal for our group, and we had a wonderful time. The bedrooms are spacious, and easily fit travel cribs etc, and are spaced far enough away from each other that the kids on different schedules didn't disturb one another. The house is well equipped in terms of kitchen utensils, supplies etc, so we were able to create and serve our big meals very easily. The house also has a lot of toys for kids to play with, including books, a dolls house, loads of lego duplo, tea sets, balls, soft toys, puzzles, so our kids were well entertained and happy. The grounds are spacious and fun to explore, and it's ideally located near Woodstock and near some good hiking trails. The highlights for us were the hot tub, which the adults relaxed in after the kids were in bed, and the huge screened-in porch at the back of the house, where we ate most of our meals. The porch includes a large dining table and chairs, and is an ideal way to relax together, and BBQ, and watch the kids play outside. I imagine in even warmer weather we would have been out there constantly. As it was, we were there as much as possible, before it got chilly at night. It is also well away from any bedrooms, so perfect for relaxing while children sleep! Thank you so much. We had a great time, and would definitely consider staying here again.

Me and a couple friends stayed at the house for a weekend to get away from NYC and just relax for a couple of days. This house was the perfect pick and had everything we needed. The description provided was accurate from start to finish. It was an easy 2 hour drive from Manhattan down I-84 and the house had all of of amenities that was listed. Plenty of towels, clean sheets, blankets and pillows as well as plates, cups, utensils, etc. We brought up plenty of food to cook and eat, and the house was stocked with what we needed to make great food for each day. We enjoyed breakfast on the front outside porch and soaked up the hot sun and for lunch and dinner we enjoyed great music (thanks to the XM radio in the house) and food outside on the back porch just before we got in the hot tub to relax before bed. On Saturday we took a short drive to Kaaterskill Falls where we did a light hike to see an amazing waterfall and take in some fresh air and sunshine. We wish we could have stayed longer and I would definitely recommend this place to people wanted to have a relaxing experience.
Owner response:Thanks so much, Candice. So glad you had a great time. Please note, that from NYC you would take I-87, not I-84!

I rented the cabin for a week long celebration of my 40th birthday. It was PERFECT! The kitchen was well set up for me to enjoy many hours of cooking...the daily dips in the hot tub heavenly....the view in every direction gorgeous...and very comfortable for my group of friends. The owner was professional and accessible, really everything went so smoothly that its sort of unbelievable! We only got a few hours of sun during the whole week but the place is gorgeous even in the rain and clouds so that did not matter one bit! The listing was accurate, the property was clean, the owner was great, and the hiking/shopping/dining in the Woodstock area offers many possibilities! I recommend the Garden Cafe!!!!

This was probably the most at home we've ever felt in a rental of this size. The home was cozy, the kitchen layout perfect and the four bedrooms all offered a level of privacy for their occupants. The home is literally 7 minutes from the center of Woodstock and 10 minutes from Levon Helm's Ramble (which we were in town to see for the 5th time) while still feeling as if in the woods. The grounds were lovely and the hot tub and screened in porch were maintained flawlessly. There was a nice selection of games and toys for our kids and we loved the fact that we had the web but no TV. The XM radio was on the entire time and we spend most of our indoor time upstairs in the living room/kitchen listening to music and hanging out. The kitchen itself is well stocked even containing oven proof bowls we needed for an egg dish we made on Sunday morning. We will definitely be back.

just got back from a wonderful weekend at this cabin. It was well stocked and accommodated my group of 5 perfectly. The Kitchen/Living room was so cozy, we spent most of our time there cooking, playing board games, and just relaxing. No t.v. is a great idea! The hot tub was amazing, especially after a day of skiing. The house is full of unique art, we were also lucky enough to see some deer in the front yard one morning. The renters were very helpful and made the whole thing very easy and stress free. I would definitely love to come back for another visit. Thank you!

My husband and I, along with 3 other couples, spent New Years weekend at the cabin. It was a perfect way to spend time together away from the city. Michael was very accomodating and answered all of our questions promptly. The cabin itself has all of the modern amenities you need but feels very cozy. The hot tub and wood stove are great touches. The surrounding woods provided a wonderful snow covered view. We even went hiking in the watershed property across the road. We will be back!

We had such a lovely time there. There was 6 in our group and two were on vacation from England. The house is great, so comfortable and welcoming. The hot tub was so relaxing. There was everything you needed, lots of pots and pans and general cooking spices, etc. Plenty of clean towels and supplies. It was a fabulous weekend. I would love to go back in the summer. Also next time would love to take a bath there. I have never seen such a deep tub!! We took a trip to Hunter mountain and went zip lining which was awesome. Unfortunately we were too early for the snow. Also, the village of Woodstock is 5 minutes drive. Really nice place.

We LOVED the cabin!!!!! We stayed in the cabin for Labor Day weekend, with 6 adults and 4 kids, and had a fabulous (!) time. The cabin is both beautifully designed and very convenient. We cooked a lot, so it helped that the kitchen was stocked with high quality kitchenware. Our kids (ages 1-7 years) had a blast, and didn't have a dull moment playing with the plenty of games and toys in the house. There was ample space to relax and eat, both inside and outside, including a Jacuzzi and a hammock that can fit a family :) Our only regret was that Labor Day weekend is only 3 days... We definitely plan to return there in the future.

we really enjoyed our vacation . It was very relaxing & comfortable. The hot tub was terrific as was the outdoor shower. I was a little apprehensive about no TV but we brought a computer & watched shows that way. Actually we didn't watch much TV and did a lot more talking & enjoying each others company. The area was great!!! Enjoyed the wildlife from a distance (esp the bears!!!). The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked for cooking. Thank-You so much, Michelle

We stayed at the house in April 2010 for a weekend. We had six adults and two children. This was our second visit. Once again we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the very comfortable set-up of the house, the spacious offerings, hot tub and lovely private property. Last time we visited Woodstock and this time we went into nearby Phoenicia to visit the shops and have lunch. It was great. We look forward to our next visit!

We rented the cabin with the intention of a ski weekend away with friends. The weather didn't cooperate but the relaxing beauty of the Bearsville Cabin made up for it! We spent our weekend ounging on the couch with a cozy fire, talking and playing dominoes, and soaking in the hot tub in the middle of the gorgeous woods. We didn't see any deer or bear but a friendly flock of turkeys made us feel welcome! The cabin was calming, cozy, and warm with a modern touch. The pictures on the website didn't do it justice. The owners were very prompt and throrough with details on the cabin and the area. We can't wait to try it in the summer!

This house was absolutely perfect for our group and everyone loved it! The place was extremely cozy yet large enough and perfectly clean and comfortable with everything we needed (linens, dishes, cookware and supplies, board games, etc.), and the location was ideal. The property and street were also very beautiful. The owner communicated very well and gave thorough instructions, directions and details about the house and the area, and that helped to make the rental experience worry free too. Having use of a hot tub was wonderful too!! I would look to rent this house again anytime and highly recommend it.

My friends and I drove up for the weekend and were astonished at how beautiful the cabin and the scenery were! We were already impressed by the pictures, but it did not do it justice. Every room in the house had its own artistic flair and you noticed something new every time you stepped in. I have never enjoyed looking outside the window as much as I did this trip! We enjoyed sleeping, cooking, reading our books by the fire, listening to the stereo system, relaxing in the hot tub, playing board games, and telling stories. All of this with deer walking among the trees and light snow falling outside. We felt incredibly refreshed and rejuvinated after our stay. I think everyone needs to come here for at least one weekend! Thank you for making these wonderful memories possible!

Just came back from a girl's weekend at the cabin. We were planning to use the cabin as home base for exploring the area but since it poured most of the weekend, we ended up staying in. It was a great place to hang out! There were 8 of us and the house was clean and comfortable, and well appointed. The pictures depict the property accurately. We loved the wood burning stove and hung out on the back screened in porch listening to the rain for hours. The sound system was great. The location was ideal as well, secluded but close to town. Ate at Gypsy Wolf, casual but delicious mexican and hiked the Mountain Overlook trail just out of town. Would recommend both.

Needing a few days to celebrate the end of our graduate careers, some friends and I rented the cabin and could not have asked for a better setting for our getaway. The only interruptions we had between our hot tub soaks, gourmet dinners, and dancing sessions (great stereo) were beautiful brown bears walking around the property or swimming through the pond--left us all breathless! Thank You!

A wonderful spot. We found it very easily and spent a very relaxing weekend there over the winter. The house is conveniently located, but feels extremely secluded and peaceful. There is no noise from the road and very little sign that there are neighbours or even other houses in the immediate area. An ideal launching spot for hiking, biking or skiing in the winter. The owners are friendly and accommodating - I am already planning a return trip!

This is a wonderful holiday cabin set in beautiful secluded surroundings. The cabin is spacious and comfortable and has splendid views out over the garden, the pond and the woods beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the cabin, the walks in the surrounding woods and further afield to see some of the Catskill fire towers. We enjoyed visiting Woodstock and Bearsville. The cabin and its amenities are well described in the listing. The owners are helpful and friendly and provide good directions to the cabin; clear and comprehensive instructions about how things work; and a guide to local amenities. We would unreservedly recommend the cabin to anyone who wants a hassle-free, peaceful and relaxing time in the Catskills. We will go again ourselves.
