I have taken my family to CA for spring break for the past four years and I can honestly say, this is my favorite condo rental retreat to date! Very comfortable with everything we needed...the rooftop was wonderful for watching the sunrise and sunset...was also cool to hear the sea lions barking at each other during the day. Inside offered all the amenities of home!We can't wait to stay again next year!

Home away from home!

Our family of five (kids 25, 24 and 22) just completed a wonderful week at this home away from home. As nice as the photos are, they don't do this condo justice. Just beautiful! Kitchen is fully stocked with all the major appliances so you can eat in or enjoy many restaurants that are within walking distance (The Crab Cooker was great). Local attractions included the beach (you must ride a bike or drive if you must down to the "Wedge" to watch the body surfers - crazy!), our son took a surf lesson, rented a boat at the marina, and shops. We took a day trip to LA to see the "stars" homes (buy the ticket on the street for 1/2 of the on-line price) and another day trip to Sea World in San Diego. After all the activities, we returned to the clean, beautiful condo to relax and enjoy each others company. Hours were spent on the rooftop lounging in comfortable chairs. Plenty of board games are provided and the TV and sound system were awesome. On top of it all, I feel that the owner Matt is now a friend. Although we didn't meet in person, emails (suggesting great coupon ideas for activities as well as answering any questions I had) and a phone call to make sure we were enjoying our stay made me so comfortable with the whole situation. Why anyone would stay anywhere else is beyond me. Thanks Matt for a wonderful week and we look forward to a return trip!

Exceded our expectations!

We spent our Spring Break at this property with our two kids -- 14 and 18. The whole family loved it!! The place is big with a great layout and beautifully decorated. The pictures don't due the condo justice!! Surround sound TV, top of the line appliances, multi spray jet shower, three full baths, and incredible views of the ocean, Catalina island, and the Newport Beach/Balboa Harbor -- almost 360 degree views of water (and mountains) -- from the rooftop deck!! And the location is great -- walk across the street to the beach and one block to the Newport Beach pier. The condo has bikes and we rode up and down the strand and over to Balboa island on the car ferry for breakfast!! We did day trips to Catalina Island, Hollywood, San Diego zoo, Laguna Beach, and of course a trip to Fashion Island. We walked to one of the many restaurants in the area for dinner several nights.Gorgeous! The owners are incredibly helpful! I highly recommend this beautiful location! We'll be back!!

Newport Oasis

This place feels more like a home than a rental unit. Everything has been thought of so you can just enjoy! Excellent location for everything Newport offers. The Owner (Matt) is a really decent guy.

Nice home with lot of beach decorated items make you feel like you are in the beach. The house is very clean, all the three bathrooms and kitchen are newly remodeled. The kids especially love the room with the shark wall painting. Adult and kids bike are available in the garage. Only 1 minute walking to the beach and the bike lane is right in front of the beach (very safe for kids). We enjoy so much for the 4 days staying here during Thanksgiving. Thanks for the owner to share such a nice house with us!

Perfect Family Beach Home!

This was a perfect place for our family vacation. Super close access to both the bay and the ocean. Condo is stocked with bikes (and a kids bike trailer!), boogie boards, beach toys, kids movies, games, and some toys. Furnishings are very nice and make you feel right at home. The rooftop has a great sitting area with a firepit and bbq. Everything was clean and in great condition. The owner was friendly and helpful. We have since gotten to know him quite well and have appreciated the help he's given even outside of our rental experience. We don't have a single complaint about our experience and look forward to renting it again. Well worth the rate!

Great home in a great location

I hesitate to even write this review because I want to keep this secret all to myself. Matt (the owner), as posted in other reviews, is super nice and easy to deal with. The townhouse is perfectly located near the beach and bay as well as shopping. It's just a quick bike ride to the ferry too. The unit was clean, nicely updated and had all the comforts of home. I will agree with others in that there are a lot of stairs but they didn't bother us. We made good use of the beach cruisers (every day!) as well as the beach chairs. Very nice place to stay and very convenient to all that Newport has to offer. I certainly hope to be back next summer! thank you Matt!

Very nice condo for our family of two adults, two teens. Location is excellent, but not right in the fray on the 4th of July in Newport. Just across the street from the surf beach and basically right on the bay sailing beach. Property is in great shape, well maintained, and clean. Great parking (a big deal in Newport), enough for a couple of cars. Matt, the owner was very helpful, some small issues but resolved quickly - easy to reach and responsive. Great rooftop with bbq, firepit table, and great view of tons of firework shows on the 4th (we counted at least 10, with the one at Newport Dunes very close). Recommended, would rent here again.

Owner response:Our guests were extremely understanding providing there was an area specific power outage for most of their first day! Thanks!!! We also had a slow draining sink that the plumber was able to take care of after their stay(didn't realize how slow until the housekeeper let us know). Again, very easy going and would love to have them visit anytime.

Home Away From Home

We are repeat visitors to this gorgeous Newport Beach condo. We absolutely love the location, the layout and the garage parking! Such a bonus. The property is impeccably decorated and has a great homey feel to it. We love the upstairs rooftop deck with the firepit and a great ocean view. The bay is steps away and its a beautiful view to watch the boats going by all day. Everything is absolutely perfect - and the homeowners are wonderful, too. We feel like this is "our" place for summer getaways, and we couldn't think of a better home for us to spend a few days at the beach. Albertsons is conveniently located down the street and restaurants are within walking distance. Unless you're going to explore, there really isn't a reason to drive anywhere. We've stayed in a lot of places, and after 18 years of visiting Newport Beach, this is our favorite!

We stayed at this location for a week at the end of April with our two small children (1 & 2.5 yrs) It was a fantastic experience from the beginning. Matt is terrific to deal with. He was extremely helpful with our very last minute booking. The condo was spotlessly clean with plenty of high quality amenities. The safety gates, pack & play, books and beach toys were very convenient - and allowed us to travel just a little lighter! The beach is so close that I was able to be back and forth (for snacks and diaper changes!) without any trouble. I would highly recommend this condo and hope to be back, myself!

We loved everything about this condo! The location is impossible to beat - it's quiet and cosy but at the same time just minutes from where everything's at. Can't forget to mention the view from the rooftop. Our family (party of 5) visited for just over a week and we can't wait to come back. There are so many things to do and discover in the area and this a perfect stay when visiting. We very much appreciated the cruisng with the bikes along the beachpromenade, breakfasts on the rooftop and just to get a taste of the OC-life! You wont be disappointed!

We stayed at this condo the week of March 14-22nd. We found it even more awesome than the website showed. It not only is immaculate but the decor made us feel right at home. It was done beautifully and in good taste. There are a few stairs, but we are in our 70's and had no problem. The owners made themselves very available if needed and a great family. Awesome Family Vacation Getaway

We visited Newport in March 2009 and had a great time. The location was perfect... close to restaurants, shops, beach and bay. The house was beautifully decorated, immaculate and we felt at home the week we stayed. Plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out. The owner was awesome when it came to making sure his home was perfect for us. Communicated through email and phone and provided A+ service. He even mailed us back a hat we left! I would recommend this place to a friend and would stay again when visiting the area. Loved Newport Pier, which is a short walk away. Lots of steps, so maybe not good for those not good with steps, but, we didn't have an issue with that.

The condo was a great place for me and my family since it had all of the amenities that we could possibly need while away from home. The condo was very nicely decorated, and included many warm touches (nice towels, high-end finishes in many areas, full set of kitchen equipment, etc). A great place to stay if you are traveling with kids - our 2 1/2 year old son loved the kids bedroom, and he was especially pleased to find some kids books and puzzles to keep him occupied. There are also two playgrounds (with swingsets, slides, etc), within walking distance from the condo. I was also especially pleased with the "service" level that we received from the owner - very prompt responses to all of my questions and extra efforts to make himself easily reachable should I need anything during the stay. A fantastic experience!

Our one week stay was excellent. The property was spacious, well equipped with upper-end amenities, nicely furnished and well decorated with a beach feel. When we arrived, the property was spotless and nicely prepared with a couple of personal touches from the owner. The bathrooms and kitchen are very nicely done with a real luxury feel to them. The owner is open, honest and a pleasure to rent from. Access to a nice stretch of Newport Beach is just across the street and we enjoyed the proximity to the Newport Pier, local restaurants and grocery facilities. We were traveling with an infant and the available folding crib was a really nice touch. The stairs within the unit from the bedrooms to the living area and to the rooftop patio would be a concern with a toddler unless you had a safety gate. Monday Night Football looks like a million bucks on the large HDTV. We will rent here again.
