Donna and I, with our three daughters, live in Alexandria, Va. Donna grew up in Myrtle Beach, and her parents and family still live in the area. We use the house a lot during the off season on the holidays, but make it available to families looking for a first class vacation that's treated like a home and not a rental unit.

Baseball/Beach Vacation

I stayed in Planet Surfside with two other families for a week of baseball at Cal Ripken(close by) and sun. It was perfectly located so we had ample time at the beach and were able to make it to the sports complex without getting caught up in too much holiday week traffic. We especially like the fact that we are just outside the "tourist" area of Mytle Beach. It was more family oriented, which we loved!!!! The house was great; plenty of living space, nice size bedrooms, and more than enough bathrooms. We were able to have one bathroom designated for just the boys!!! Loved being able to sit on the deck or in the living room and keep an eye on the kids while they surfed, swam or boogey boarded. They could jump right in while we had our morning coffee. Everything was clean and up to date. Had an issue with the internet, but that was taken care of right away by a quick call back from Mike. Also, had a little issue with a clogged sink in one of the bathrooms, but Mike's father, who takes care of the property and lives near by handled that immediately as well. What a great time, and will most certainly stay at this property again should we go back to Myrtle Beach. Loved it!!!

Our family spent a week at the beach and loved it. The house was great,the reverse floor plan was wonderful! The hot tub was fun and the house had everything we needed. Mike recommended some great places to eat. Plenty of room for everyone. Thanks Mike I know you sent us great weather too! (We all got sun burned playing scrabble on the deck) Robbie and Family

The house and location was PERFECT! There were 5 adults and two childern in our party. We were there in early October and have already booked the house again for the same time next year. The floor plan was great. The hot tube and view were AMAZING! The house had EVERYTHING we needed. The house was beautifully maintained and looks BETTER than the pictures. The owner is a busy man but still found time to follow up with us before our arrival and followed up with us after our depature. We had no need to reach out to him during our stay. We really cannot say enough good about this house. Would have stayed longer if it wasn't rented for the following week :) The fishing from shore was incredible for you fishermen/women. The kids looked for shells and the guys fished. We caught fish we could eat...and did (YUMMY) and fish we kept to stuff to put on our son's wall. The location is great! Major attractions and dinner places were never more than a 15 min drive. We HIGHLY recommend Bubba's. Great authentic atmosphere and food and located just up the street from the house with a view of the ocean! The Fisher Monger on Hwy 17 business was AWESOME! Lou from NJ is the BESTEST! I would highly recommend this house to EVERYONE I know....as long as they do not book our week :)

We went to Planet Surfside with my in laws and my 2 sisters and had a BLAST! We had 8 kids total (ranging from 9 months to 12) and they each had a great time. The closeness to the beach and the surrounding area were amazing. Would definitely like to make this an annual event for our family! I strongly recommend this property and Mike was a pleasure to work with too.

2nd time I and seven other golfers stayed in Mike's beach house. Great location, great view and use of the beach, and truely made our stay enjoyable. House was always clean and neat, minor problems quickly fixed, and overall experience was fantastic!! Recommend it to anyone wanting to "get away from it all" but have the convience of great location for just about everything the South Carolina Grand Strand has to offer.

We really enjoyed our stay at Planet Surfside. We had a family reunion of 12 people for the week ranging in ages from 13-78. It was so comfortable and homey with all of the accommodations. There was adequate space for all of us, big kitchen, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the balcony in the rocking chairs, convenient walk way to the beach with outdoor shower, Jacuzzi with a view and liked that each bedroom had its own TV. We loved the location - it was easy to get in and out of. We have to say that the owner was pleasant to work with, on top of things, courteous and it was everything he said it was and more. We also liked the idea that the owner shared some recommendations of attractions and restaurants in the area. We took some of them in and they were great (Bubba's Seafood Shack, Drucken Jacks, Omega Pancake House). Planet Surfside is top notch in our book. We would definitely recommend Planet Surfside!!

Our family had our first "family vacation" here, and were very happy. There were 5 of us, and we had more than enough room (and lots of privacy as well). Our 3-year old grandson and his parents stayed on the lower level, and grandpa and I were on the main level, which worked out great. The house was spacious and well supplied with lots of kitchen items. Hot tub was amazing! We stayed in April and there were some cool days, so it was much appreciated. Quiet location and close to lots of good restaurants and fun things to do. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again, or recommending to others.
