Mendocino cottage description
Our Southwest cottage, and 3 others, called Antioch Ranch, is located on 20 acres in the Redwoods, ten minutes from Mendocino and the beautiful North Coast of California. We offer cozy furnished two bedroom cottages. We cater to families, married couples and individuals who desire some time away from their usual routine. The cottages include fully equipped kitchens, living rooms with wood burning heat. They are decorated in individual appropriate styles.
In the historic village of Mendocino there are many shops and restaurants with a 180 degree view of the ocean from every street. Go for walks on the cliffs, bike rides, kayaking or boating. It is an unbelievable place to relax and let nature heal your soul. Visit the State Parks and Preserves by the sea, the light house that has been there since 1909, the Botanical Gardens, or take a ride on the Skunk Train in Fort Bragg. Eat breakfast at Mendo Cafe with an Ocean view or go to the movies, shop for antiques in vintage stores or have lunch at the Skunk Train Depot.
The variety of amenities allows each person to do as much or as little as they wish and to personalize their own replenishment time.

Year Purchased: 1965
About the owner: We are Jerry & Pat, and we have been married 48 years. We have 3 lovely married daughters and a dozen grand children. We dearly love the Mendocino area and have lived on this fantastic 20 acres for 44 years. The additional cottages were built from our own trees during the 10 years we had a ministry to the Hippie Culture in the 1970's.
Why the Owner Chose Mendocino:
We bought this land in 1965 because we felt there was a crying need for folks to get away from their routines to a place where they could be refreshed in God, in their families, or through small groups. We had this 'dream' as early as 1961. The reality is like a miracle from God.
