We had a great time staying here! What a perfect location - we loved the short walk to town, scrambling down to the Hood River, and hiking the Indian Creek Trail without having to get in our car! It was great to enjoy breakfast and dinner on the deck while enjoying a great view of the Gorge. The kids really enjoyed all of your games and toys. Thanks for such a great place to relax and enjoy the Gorge and Hood River.

We loved our stay here! We've stayed here twice before with friends of ours over the last two years. The house and views are so wonderful and that is why we love coming back each year. Thank you so much for providing such a comfortable and beautiful home away from home. We cannot wait till next year!

Charming & Cozy!!!

We spent a long weekend in this beautiful home with large group of ladies from our family. Plenty of space for all. Open spaces on main floor made gathering in several small groups, or even one large one, simple. Everything was there we needed. Super view. Owners were very easy to work with. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful Home Away From Home

I have to tell you....this house is amazing. It has so much character that it is actually difficult to leave each day. There are so many unique qualities that we love. From the wall and ceiling colors, to the little closets, the cage drawers in the bathroom (my favorite), the high ceilings, the couch in the living room, the layout of the kitchen and dining room. You have done a great job. The downtown area is easily walkable, and actually a nice way to burn calories. Restaurants we enjoyed were the 6th Street Bistro and the Trellium Cafe. The owners in both were personable and helpful. I imagine that you hear compliments about your home a lot. I think that I told you we go on vacation this same week every year as we got married on 9/10, but this has felt like we are home since we walked in. It is clear that you have both put a lot of thought and work into it to make it so. It's gonna be hard to leave. Thanks for everything. Kevin and Nancy

Wonderful house! The best equipped rental I've seen. A teapot would be nice. [Owner response: Good suggestion. We added that this week complete with teapot cozy.]

We had a wonderful time! The house was clean, well furnished and we loved all the children's toys. The wi-fi was appreciated too! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Only suggestion: a small shovel for poop scooping; otherwise it was a wonderful vacation. Thank you, thank you! [Owner Comment: a poop scooper has been purchased and is now onsite. Thanks for the suggestion.]

We had a great weekend celebrating my big 5-0 bday at your lovely and amazing Victorian. Everyone in my extended family fell in love with the house. We all want to return in the spring or summer. Thank you so much for the comfort, beauty and details of the house - it really was a wonderful way to spend three days. Next time hopefully seven - ten days!

My husband and I stayed at the bluff house for a couple months and did not want to leave! The views were amazing as well as the accommodations. The owners thought of everything you would need for any length of stay and filled the house with quality items. We enjoyed walking on the trails and downtown, the stairs from the house to downtown are fun and an added bonus! Having your morning coffee on the back deck or the kitchen table is a MUST!

We enjoyed your house very much. We all had a great time. We hiked the Indian Creek Trail, visited the Full Sail Brewery, celebrated two birthdays, and found a wonderful playground for the kids. I have one question for you. My husband really liked the mattress on the first floor king bed (he also was very impressed with the gas grill). We've been mattress hunting and wondered if you knew/remembered what kind it is. [Owner says: The King bed is a Spring Air “KG MT LX REGAL” mattress ($1000) and two “KG BX REGAL/BELVEDERE” box springs (2*$200=$400) purchased from Bedmart (Delta Park) 503-286-3813 on 6/13/08]

Thank you. We had a wonderful time in your house. We were very happy that you had "real" cookware, rather than the tinny stuff usually found in rentals. And the views are great!

Enjoyed our visit! Always nostalgic for me - knew the place "when" - fruit orchards and packing houses only! Great restaurants now. Brian's Pourhouse - yum! Saw some eagles, osprey, hawk. Great coffee choice! Thanks! p.s., Couldn't find "path" to river - looks like bungee jumping only way down! (Owner note: trail to the beach is located at southeast corner of the yard and is a steep scramble with some drop offs along the way, so use at your own risk and only if comfortable with such adventuresome activity. Wear appropriate footwear and keep hands free. Be safe! Other longer routes to the beach are available by foot or car, please inquire.)

We stayed two nights in this lovely 1900's home. What a treat!!!!!! From one side you see the Columbia River Gorge with all of it's activities and from the other side you feel like you are in the Rocky Mountains. The house is very fresh and clean with new paint and new mattresses that are just perfect--not too hard and not too soft. We slept very well. This house is wonderful for a couple or a large group as the price is much lower than you would expect for this quality of view and antique house. The style, glass, chandeliers, flowers, porch, and kitchen were all outstanding. We really had a great time in Hood River. There is so much to do and see in this extremely picturesque town. We thoroughly enjoyed watching all the water activities on the Columbia and driving through all the orchards of fresh fruit all the while feeling like we could touch Mt. Hood which is very close for winter activities as well. You will not be disappointed in this house or it's view.
