Excellent In Every Way! Cannot Wait To Return!!!

Our stay at this fabulous mountain home was superb in every way possible. There were 6 adults and one child, and we had more room than we needed. The home was spacious, and having two family areas on separate floors was great for when the little one wanted to watch a movie or play. The bedrooms were each beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and plenty of room. Each of the three bathrooms was spotlessly clean. The home's kitchen boasted every modern convenience we needed to cook big family-style meals that were hearty and filling after a day in the snow. Sitting around the large dining table was fun for the whole family. The fireplaces on both levels made it extra cozy. The location was perfect: just a few minutes from Ski Beech, a few minutes from Sugar Mountain where we had a ton of fun tubing, and close to stores with groceries and necessities. Not too far away were beautiful waterfalls and the Mast General Store, an area institution. We had plenty of snow, and the deer would come up almost to the door, thrilling all of us from the city! We can't wait to start planning our trip back next winter!

It's our last night here and we are sad to have to leave. We have had a wonderful time staying in your home. Everything is very nice and you have paid such attention to all the little details. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside on the deck, it was great to be outside and not have the humidity we have at home.

It was wonderful. It was no nice to get away from the heat and humidity. Your mountain home was lovely. The beds were very comfortable. The most comfortable than any house we have stayed in before. Thank you so much!!!

"I wanted to email you to share what a beautiful home you have in the mountains. The home met all of our needs and was very functional for the children to play on the bottom floor. We received snow all weekend which was so beautiful, and of course the kids love the sleds at the house. We saw several animals such as a red fox, skunk and several deer. "

"Hi Barbi, I just wanted to thank you very much for letting us use your home for our long weekend getaway. Your home is Beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed it despite the cloudy rainy weather. We did like the snow though. We woke up yesterday morning to a nice white landscape and 20 degree temps and went sledding at the town park. The sun finally poked through as we were leaving the property. We did do some great things Linville Caverns, Mast General Store, Grandfather Mtn, Wooly Worm Fest. We are already planning our next visit and we'll be in touch."

"Back to the heat and humidity...... We ended not riding the motorcycle. The weather just wasn't cooperating. We still had a great time. Your house was perfect for us and my parents. Enjoyed the nights with the fireplace.... Keep in mind rain,shine,fog,snow your place is so wonderful where you don't have to count on the weather. I can't believe it's going to snow. Bring out the blankets,turn on the fireplace and get a nice bottle of red and a good book. Priceless!!"

"Just a quick 'Thanks' to you for having such a wonderful place for (us) to relax and unwind for a weekend away. Your place was awesome and the view was serene. We enjoyed the firepit and just sitting around the fire talking and joking as the sunset in the background. It all made for a very peaceful setting and not to mention we got to visit the Highland Games (if you ever go...go very early AM to get parking spot and sitting place as it is very crowded but organized at the same time). We also got to see some deer around the same time each night."

Our family and a few friends spent the weekend in this lovely home and had a BLAST!!! The home was very clean and well stocked. We were able to cook meals in the home to save some money. We spent the day on the slopes (which was just min. from the house) and we were able to spend quality time together playing games. When we woke the am we were scheduled to leave, it had snowed, we actually got "snowed in" and had to wait on the slag trucks to put slag down for us to get down the mountain and home. We plan to return.
