This condo is very conveniently located to beaches and one of the best Sushi restaurants on Maui. The rooftop patio is well equipped with grills tables and a kitchen. There were very comfortable lounges on the front lawn overlooking the ocean and the migrating whales. The condo is well furnished and equipped. It was comfortable for us and our two adult sons who shared the secind bedroom and bath. The owners are easy to work with and very responsive to questions. The only difficulty we had was sending payment to a Canadian bank. The cost if wiring funds from the US is less than the its of FedX fees to Canada. The condo was clean and the owners provided quality bedding, beach towels, etc. shopping at Costco made the food costs more affordable but there are close by supermarkets, an excellent fish market (only open M-F) and lots of places to purchase last minute items for the beach or pantry. This is definitely a family venue - lots of grandchildren visiting retired but active adults.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a great holdiay here. The unit was very nice, updated and equipped with everything we needed. The lanai had a beautiful view of the bay and sunsets. Lots of whales to watch this year. Thanks for sharing your unit with us!

This was our second stay at the Royal Mauian, and our first in this unit. The location cannot be beat: you are steps away from the Kamaole beaches and there is a nice lawn out front where you can watch turtles and whales (in season) every morning. There are plenty of shops and restaurants across the street. The unit itself is incredible... the owners clearly spared no expense with the remodel. The full ocean view from the lanai is a great spot for meals and relaxing. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with, and returned our deposit promptly. We definitely hope to return to Maui again one day, and we would absolutely try to rent this condo again!

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Ahhhh - Relax in Maui!

We had a wonderful stay in Royal Mauian 212. The unit is well-maintained and in a great location - perfect views of the ocean and sunsets. I'm pretty picky about beds and I found the master to be really comfortable. The beach is really nice with clean sand and clear water. The water was shallow for a decent distance and wasn't too rough - great for kids. Our 10 year old had a great time boogie boarding on the waves, snorkeling, and building sand castles (Snorkel Bob's across the street was great for equipment rentals). Thanks to Paul and Laura for stocking the place with beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler. Perfect! We liked being on the second floor of the building. There are two staircases nearby for easy access to the beach or the parking lot (but they aren't right outside the unit so there wasn't much foot traffic going by). The condo and surroundings were quiet at night so we left the master windows open to feel the ocean breeze and listen to the waves crash. Best places to eat - "The Cinnamon Roll Place" (right across the street) & "Fat Boy Burger" (down S. Kihei). Shaka Pizza was also good. Skip Maui Tacos. Of course, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils, etc so we ate in most of the time. Foodland grocery store (just down the road) had everything we needed. I highly, highly recommend this unit for anyone who wants a nice relaxing getaway.

Great Condo!

We loved this unit! The pictures on the site are really how the condo looks. The condo is well outfitted with everything you would need in the kitchen, and having laundry in the unit was very handy. The unit was well maintained and clean. The Kihei area is great with lots of amenities that are easy to get to. The booking process with the owners was easy and they are super helpful - we would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to stay in this area. We thought it was the best building along this beach area. Morning coffee on the lanai was so relaxing and enjoyable to start your day - and then off to snorkel and other activities during the day. One of the best things about this condo is being able to simply walk right out front with your beach shoes on, snorkel gear in hand, pick a beach on either side of you - and go snorkelling! We cooked alot in the unit, and loved the rooftop bbq and patio area. The sunsets are wonderful of course from the lanai and the rooftop. What a great idea to bbq on the rooftop and meet all the other people from around the world! Lots of people come every year and we can totally understand why. We even watched a fireworks show taking place at a nearby hotel from the rooftop at night, saw sea turtles coming up to feed in the evening from the rooftop. We went to Lahaina 3 times and loved it there also, what a great town and lots of things to see on the way - make sure you check all the attractions on the way! We will definitely book this unit again if (when) we visit beautiful Maui again. Enjoy your stay - you will love it!

Idyllic Stay

This oceanfront condo is every bit as lovely as you would expect. The photos and videos of this property give you a great idea of just how wonderful your stay will be. We had a group of 14 on our trip, so we rented three units at the Royal Mauian. All of them were renovated and very nice, this unit had a special feel about it that made it our favorite. You will love the sunsets from the balcony or go up to the rooftop, which was a wonderful place for our group to meet up. We saw sea turtles and even a sea lion (or seal??) at the beach. Not only does this unit have the obvious remarkable upgrades (granite, top notch appliances, etc) but it also has fine touches, with the doors that close gently (instead of slamming), same with the kitchen cabinet drawers, and also every kitchen utensil you need if you love to cook. The owners were incredibly nice and responsive, and our booking was a breeze. I would very highly recommend this unit - you will love your stay!!

Dear Paul & Laura, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful condo with us... it is truly a special place. The unit was so lovely with all the fabulous upgrades and decor. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover such an extensive supply of kitchen utensils and cookware available ... perfect for those of us who love to cook! We spent five lovely nights and loved every minute of it. The sunsets are spectacular, and the rooftop garden is such an added bonus. My kids loved playing at the beach and it was so nice of you to have beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys available for our use. We had a fabulous trip to Maui and will definitely stay in your unit when we are fortunate enough to visit Maui again. Mahalo!

Laura / Paul, thank you, we had a great 2 weeks at your condo. The view was "outstanding" to say the least and yes, totally unobstructed ocean views. We loved waking up to the sound of the ocean, then enjoy a baileys and coffee while watching turtles from the balcony and the sunsets were to die for. Shaka Philly Cheese steak, GO - that's all I have to say about that. Fred's and the Moose are a must do while visiting and those cinnamon buns from rainbow plaza are yummmmmy but evil! Big beach is a great boogie board beach and the snorkling at Turtle point is amazing! We would recommend your place to anyone and already have told many of our friends about our stay. We'll be back.

A Special Place to Stay

This was absolutely one of the best condos we have ever rented. It was even more attractive in person than the pictures on the website depicted. We spent three very happy weeks there. The bed was extremely comfortable. The decor was beautiful - we especially loved the bamboo flooring in the bedrooms and having a washer/dryer in the apartment. Everything we could have ever wanted was in this unit. It was so delightful to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and to wake each morning to smell the plumeria tree in the back. Many nights we enjoyed a glass of wine and the sunset from the ocean front lanai. Loved the mirror that was put on one wall of the lanai - it almost seemed like a panoramic view. Two of Maui's best beaches were a short path on either side of the building and we spent many enjoyable mornings on both. Beach chairs, umbrella and towels were provided for our use. There is shopping and restaurants just across the street. ABC store is a short walk away. Many wonderful sights and restaurants within a short driving distance. Laura & Paul were very accommodating and always answered our questions and concerns promptly. We hope to have the opportunity to rent this "special" condo again. Bob & Joyce, Tucson, AZ

Spectacular View

Our week in Maui was spectacular. From the morning walks along the beaches, boogie boarding in the afternoon and sunset dinners on the balcony, we could not imagine a better vacation. The condo is very comfortable with all the luxuries of home. This is a very quiet building and the unit is beautifully renovated. We made use of the roof top BBQs most evenings. The sounds of waves and ocean air was so refreshing and relaxing. We hope to return and will certainly recommend this oasis to friends and family. Thank you for sharing your Maui home with us.

Our first words when we entered the condo was: WOW! This condo met all our criteria: clean, modern, luxury. This was our first time renting a condo (instead of staying in a hotel) and we were not disappointed. The photos listed on this website truly reflect the clean and well maintained interiors. Our family of four felt completely spoiled by the fully equipped modern kitchen, the remote controlled air conditioning in every room, and not to mention the unprecedented full ocean view. This condo was quiet and kid friendly – a great choice as a family vacation home away from home. Centrally located, this condo is truly steps to the beach and within walking distance to local shops and restaurants. The owner was friendly, prompt, and helpful. The rental process was super easy. And if you are arriving or departing late, the pick-up and drop-off of rental keys is trouble free. We had a remarkable stay. And we have already recommended this condo to our friends and family and we look forward to renting this condo when we visit Maui again. Thanks.

A great vacation

We have being going to the Kihei area for 10 years and this is the nicest condo we have ever stayed in. The rental process was a breeze and you were very helpful with all our questions and concerns. The rennovation to the unit is spectacular. The condo is quiet and well maintined.The furnishings are great as was the AC. The unit is very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. It was amazing to sit on the lanai and watch the sunset while eating dinner. The beaches are less than a minute away. Shopping and restaurants are all close. My only complaint is that we had to leave. I hope that when we return, we will be able to rent from you again. Thank you for sharing your paradise away from home with us.

We had two wonderful weeks at 212 Royal Mauian over the Christmas Holidays. The apartment is between two beautiful sandy beaches each a three minute walk. Santa arrived by outrigger to the beach on December 23rd bringing candy and songs for all. We saw turtles, whales and surfers outside our window most days. The birds gave a morning serenade everyday and the sunsets where spectacular. On New Years Eve there were firework displays along many of the beaches some at 10pm and others at mid-night. It was a wonderful place to spend the holidays running through the waves and enjoying the sun.

We recently returned from three weeks in Unit #212. We are ready to go back! It is a beautifully finished condo that was very comfortable to spend time in. I can't think of anything that I needed that I couldn't find in the drawers. We loved everything about it...the location, the view, and the spacious lanai!! We highly recommend it.

This was a really great unit. New fixtures/electronics though out. Web access is easy to set up and use. You can't beat the view and you can see large marine turtles just looking outside the window. Fast food at Maui Taco is just across the road and is well worth the visit for some cheap eats. Overall a great, no hassle, beautiful place to stay while you are in Maui. The owners are also very easy to work.

Our 1 week stay in unit 212 at the Royal Mauian was like a little piece of heaven here on earth. The unit is beautifully decorated, quiet, and has an amazing view. We loved sitting on the lanai watching the sunrise and sunset. Being able to walk right down to the beach was so nice. My only disappointment was how fast a week in Maui goes by. I hope we can return soon. Thank You for sharing such a wonderful place.

We tried to imagine what it was like at home (-29 degrees Celcius) but could not.... The place, the setting, the ocean and sand; the "turtles", the whales, the warm (hot) sun, the cool grass and beautiful flowers were all captivating and all consuming. We loved every minute of our time here. Thank you for opening your condo to us. Grandma and Grandpa thoroughly enjoyed our little "Avery" and all the memorable moments together with her - what a wonderful blessing!!! We are so thankful. The condo is beautiful, you've done an outstanding job of decorating. I'll miss the "early" quiet mornings on the lanai.... a taste of heaven I'm sure. See you soon! We stayed at 212 Royal Mauian for 1 week in May 2009 with our daughter and her boyfriend to attend a family wedding. Having to attend a wedding we were able to visit other condos in the area. The Royal Mauian 212 was far the most beautiful place. Everything was modern and uptodate. The area is within walking distance to several beaches, shopping and eating establishments. A perfect place to visit and not want to go home.

May, 2009. We just returned from our Maui trip and stayed in unit # 212 for the entire 2 week duration. This is our third trip to Maui and our third stay at the Royal Mauian. This unit has been totally redone and is beautiful. They have done an outstanding job! All the furnishing appear new and the flooring,counter tops,etc are incredible. The location on the second floor is also great as you have a perfect ocean view, yet have easy access to the beach. There is a top floor open patio with weber barbeque grills for guests to use. The patio is very large and even has plenty of tables & chairs. We will be going back. Its the perfect vacation spot. Derek & Erin. Fort St John, British Columbia, Canada

We stayed in Royal Mauian #212 for two weeks in April 2009. The unit is beautifully decorated, yet practical. It was wonderful in the evening to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The building is concrete, so very quiet. We enjoyed breakfast as a family on the lania. It was wonderful being between two spectacular beaches. We snorkeled in front of the Royal Mauian, and saw sea turtles and a variety of fish. The BBQ on the top deck was wonderful, and the view spectacular. Unit #212 is a real treasure of a vacation condo.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our condo in the Royal Mauian. We hope our guest's comments speak for themselves at what a truly wonderful place Maui is and that 212 in the Royal Mauian is a great place to stay. A lot of work went into making this condo luxurious and up to date. The renovation was completed in August 2008 with all new furnishings, new appliances, new gourmet kitchen, travertine and bamboo floors, maple cabinets, granite counters, etc. But the most spectacular part about this condo is the view.... ocean for as far as the eye can see! We truly care about our guests getting what they pay for and enjoying our condo. We hope to make you a guest of the Royal Mauian 212 so you can come and enjoy it for yourself!

"We stayed in the Royal Mauian 212 for a week in October. It was, by far, the most amazing place we have ever stayed. The suite is immaculate - with granite, stainless steel, and high end ... everything. The view from the lanai is almost indescribable. We would watch the sea turtles feed during breakfast. My favorite part of the condo though has got to be the roof deck. Equipped with brand new Weber barbeques, we would cook up a feast of mahi mahi (bought fresh at Safeway down the street) and enjoy a relaxing meal while watching the sun set on the pacific ocean. Dreamy. We have been to many vacation hot spots such as Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, etc...but this is the best, hands down. I hope all those who read this post have a chance to experience it.

What a fabulous Condo, just renovated, the unit is beautiful. The kitchen and amenities are top notch, having everything so nice and new, we only ate out once as we loved cooking and eating out on the deck. The view is spectacular and every morning turtles fed off the rocks in front. The building location is perfect, between two great beaches, close to shops and restaurants. We couldn't have asked for a better place. We will definately be back to visit unit #212.
