Stunningly beautiful one bedroom apartment is filled with antiques and flooded with sunshine. It's so seductive you may give up your plans to see the monuments and just settle in with a book from my library!
Take your morning coffee to your own private roof top terrace, where you can relax on a comfortable swing surrounded by lush plantings, with the sound of the trickling fountain soothing you into the day. After a hard day of sightseeing you can feed my goldfish and watch a spectacular sunset while sipping your cocktail. Invite your friends for a candle lit dinner on the terrace! Serve carry out from the area's many fine restaurants or use my gas grill to create your own gourmet masterpiece!
Located in the trendy Adams Morgan area of DC, you will find many fine and diverse restaurants and lots of night life to keep you busy, just around the corner.
Park in my private space and walk to the following locations:

Washington DC is a city with a long history and lots of sightseeing opportunities. This apartment was the perfect home base for exploring our nation's capitol.
Adams Morgan is a fun neighborhood, kind of classy for a bear like me. The apartment is on a quiet street, yet within walking distance of a Metro station, so that we could easily get all over the city. Back home, coming through the front door truly felt like coming home, with many welcoming touches, including fresh flowers, fun knick-knacks, and cozy furnishings.
Waking up in the morning, we all felt eager for the day. The apartment is sunny and bright, filled with light from the many windows. I could hardly wait to brew some coffee, and take my mug out onto the rooftop deck. Filled with plants and flowers, a BBQ grill, and comfortable patio furniture, it was a delightful way to begin the day. A large pond is filled with hungry fish that beg to be fed.
A view of the National Cathedral from the deck reminded me that it was time to head out for the day. There is so much to see and do in Washington DC! This trip we toured the White House and the Capitol, visited our congressman's office, and saw some monuments, including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial and the Korean War Memorial.
There are many wonderful restaurants to eat at, or pick up food to bring home and enjoy on the deck. DC offers everything from Lebanese to Ethopian restaurants and gave us the opportunity to try all sorts of new foods. Our hostess had a book with lots of recommendations. We also fixed a few meals at the apartment, since the kitchen was well stocked and very convenient.
All in all, we had the perfect vacation, with the perfect place to stay!

Adams Morgan is a young, vibrant area of Washington ... just the place for someone who wants to share the best things of life with the world! You can spend a day just exploring all the many quixotic parts of this neighborhood and still not have seen it all. Fine restaurants, ethnic restaurants, they are both here, and if night life is your thing, well, you'll be in heaven.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
This was the apartment I bought five years after I lost my husband - imagine, 58 years old and this was the first apartment I ever lived in by myself! And it's wonderful ... filled with all the things I love, vibrant colors, antiques, books, prints, and to top it all off, a really incredible deck. The deck is a constant source of peace and contentment. Fix your coffee in the morning, grab my Washington Post from the hallway and take it all up to swing gently while the soft sound of the fountain in the fish pond lull you into a state of relaxation, while you watch the rising sun come over the canopy and start to highlight first this rose and then that one! Or, at evening, take the cocktail up to that same swing and watch the the sunset as the lights come up on the Washington Cathedral, and the soft lights on the deck come on and suddenly you're in a cozy cacoon of a tent high in the sky and totally, totally peaceful.

Here I am with the fabulous Ms. Lulu, the light of my life, my granddaughter. I am very lucky - I have two great kids, two wonderful homes, a challenging career which I am winding down, many fun friends, and I had a wonderful marriage until I was widowed. So, maybe not so lucky there, but I was lucky to have him!
