I stayed there for a couple of months. I liked it so much that later I ended up going back again for another month. It is very cozy and very clean. The owners are easy going and full of information about the area.

In a piece called "Five Roads to Nowhere: The Best of Washington's Boonies," guide book author Mike McQuaide selected "the roly-poly Dr. Seuss-esque hills surrounding charming Waitsburg and Dayton in the southeast corner of the state (Washington)" as one of his favorite paddling and wheeling loops. To stay McQuaide picked Pamela Jane's Vacation Rental (PJ's). As reported in the July 21, 2001, The Times.

PJ's Cottage was exactly as described. A short drive to Walla Walla and the wineries. Great back country roads for cycling. The "Whoopenup Cafe" is a must as well as the "Patit Creek Cafe". We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. It was very clean, nicely decorated and lovely to come home too.

Clean,comfortable,close to town,short walk to restaurants. Only a short 20 miles from Walla Walla, 45 miles from Tri-Cities and no traffic to either area. The Owner's are wonderful to work with. We will come stay again!
