Northwest design with natural wood ceilings, huge great room with stone fireplace, lots of glass and a new Alaskan cedar deck and barbecue. The kitchen is open to the great room and deck beyond -The great room has a ton of space to spread out and the piano adds a nice touch
Skim boarding and surfing are popular. Neskowin creek is a favorite of families who want to be at the beach but desire a safer place for their children to play
Neskowin's slow pace is unique. Only one road in and out so no through traffic. The traffic is slow thanks to all the signs hand painted by the children of Neskowin. The flowers seem to have found their favorite place on earth.
If you get tired of being lazy, beach combing for floats and sand dollars, reading, playing golf, surfing, skim boarding or just digging in the sand you might want to try one of these:

Cascade Head is a preserve that showcases the various plants and animals that live along the coast. This area in particular has many rare plants and wildlife species. Cascade Head is known for its native species that used to dominate the coastal area. Another draw to this site is the Oregon silverspot butterfly. This butterfly is listed as a threatened species, and is only known to live in five other locations in the world. Elk, deer, coyote, Pacific giant salamander, bald eagle, and great horned owl are only some of the other species of wildlife that can be found in the area.
Neskowin Marsh Golf Course is just a few blocks from the house and Salishan Golf is just a few miles South.The Neskowin Marsh Golf Club, one of the oldest golf courses on the beautiful Oregon Coast, was built in 1932. This privately owned nine hole course is located in a village setting and is a flat, easy walk. This course is seasonal and you can play in the winter, if it's not flooded, just put five bucks in the box and swing away. This course has small flat greens and water that comes into play on several holes. Shot placement is key here and has open fairways incorporated in the design. Reservations recommended in the summer.
We purchased this home for our own family but would prefer to rent at a reasonable rate to guests who may under-utilize it. Our goal would to use our home and then find a few guests (and build relationships with them) who would return each year so that after the first or second year we would never be looking for new guests. We would be very accommodating owners but will have zero tolerance for guests who are not honest with the number of occupants who will be in our home.

Our family have spent summers in Neskowin for over 70 years
fabulous place for families - our children can play in the creek withour fear of rouge waves - with only one road in and one road out we get very little traffic and with a speed limit of 15 mph it is terrific for kids
