ITS ALWAYS GREAT HERE...FISHING ON YOUR PRIVATE PIER, MOONLIGHT STROLLS ALONG THE BEACH OR WATCHING SUNSETS ON THE BAY FADE INTO STAR LIT NIGHTS.
There are not many of these...Enjoy your own private lighted fishing pier, witness spectacular sunrises over the Gulf and sunsets over Little Drum bay. And best of all, if you bring your boat, you can launch and park next door at the paved, private boat launch and leave your boat parked at our private pier.
Completed in June 2008, this home has two very large balconies facing Little Drum Bay. One is covered and the other is great for very private sunbathing. Watch the kids fish on the lighted pier while you gently sway in the futon hammock designed to hold two adults. Read your favorite book, nap or sip on your favorite drink while watching the spectacular sunsets.
Inside you can relax in the spacious and open floor plan designed to accommodate groups of all sizes. The kitchen has all-stainless steel appliances. Gourmet cooks enjoy being able to prepare their favorite dishes, listening to their favorite music while gazing at the views of the bay.
Three bedrooms are upstairs but one is downstairs for the occasional late night arrival or grandpa's snoring.
The beach is only 1.5 blocks away. Load up the chairs, umbrella and cooler and putter over to the beach to build sand castles, wake board, surf-fish or just kick back and enjoy the views. When you come home, rinse off under the outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
At the end of the day, you can play board games with the family, sit out under the stars, make smores over the fire in the firepit or watch movies or TV.
There are a variety of other activities which include local restaurants, putt-putt golf, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn water park, the confederate air force museum, and The Strand, a world class shopping area in Galveston.
There is no better value in a family vacation that offers this many options.

We enjoyed this beautiful house during our visit to see our daughter who is ill with cancer. We found a beautiful bouquet of flowers awaiting us as we had hoped she would be able to join us (but was not). Despite the horrible heat, the breeze was delightful and we had fun watching the birds on the bay. Everything was exactly as we had hoped and the house is delightfully decorated. In fact, our younger daughter says she wants to have the same type of decorating in her house someday. Great sunrises and moon rising on the beach and sunsets on the bay. Truly the best of both worlds. Thank you.

The house is really nice inside and out. Disappointed because our week of vacation at the house was spent with the septic backed up in half the yard and driveway and was fixed mid afternoon on our last day. Wished it had went better.

I had a surprise party for my wife here and it turned out great. This house was everything we needed and was in great shape. The location was perfect for us, just far enough out of the city limits to enjoy the peacefulness. But close enough it was not a burden to run in to town. The house was very enjoyable with a laid back atmosphere. We will rent here again.

We stayed at the bay house for spring break 2011 with 3 other families. It was a perfect match for our group! The house was very nice, comfortable, clean and in the perfect location for fishing, crabbing and getting to the beach. We all loved it and the kids and all of us had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back!

My family and I celebrated my step-sons 16th birthday here and it was awesome!! The house is very beautiful and spacious. No need to bring a whole lot of stuff other that clothes and food. Completely furnished and even has a washer and dryer !! Plenty of room and the kitchen is open and easy to cook in. We cant wait to rent again. The neighbors are very nice also.

WOW! My family and I stayed from July 23rd th July 30th (2010). It was our FIRST family vacation ever and worth every penny! You can't begin to put a price on the beautiful views, sounds of the ocean waves crashing on the beach, seagulls chattering in the bay, fish jumping in the bay behind the house, the sunsets, and more! The owners have thought of EVERYTHING and we immediately felt at home the moment we walked thru the doors. The pictures just DON'T do justice, the house is beautifully decorated and made for comfort and functionality. You have the best of BOTH worlds here...Ocean to the front of the house (beaches are like PRIVATE beaches-not crowded at all) and fishing/crabbing at the rear. The kids LOVED crabbing and we had a huge seafood feast (they probably caught close to 50+ crabs). We are already ready to return.......HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (Just don't tell TOO many people about this gem!). My memories will continue to get me thru until next time! HA!

This beach house was just what I was looking for! The view was great. The owner was very helpfully with answering all my questions. I would recommend anyone to rent this property and I am going to rent this property again in the future!

We stayed at the Bayshore Star in April. The house is set up perfectly for large families or groups with a couple of small families staying. There were 12 of us and we had everything we needed and more. In the past we have gravitated toward beachfront homes for vacation but have decided after staying at the Bayshore that being on the bay topped any vacation we have taken. The kids have a perfect place to fish and crab and the views of the sunset are absolutely breathtaking. When the tide goes out there are multitudes of different species of birds wading around the oyster beds and of course the crabs we caught made for a fine dinner the night before our departure. An additional plus for this property is its location. It is just a short walk or a quick ride on the golf cart to the beach. The beaches are serene and quiet. There were days when we were the only ones there. Perfect for splashing in the calm waters, laying in the sun, and flying kites high in the air. Even in April the water was warm enough to comfortably swim for long periods of time. We would like to thank Don and Julie for sharing their wonderful home with us. We have made many memories that will last a life time and beyond and can't wait to get back for more.

In January we had a small church retreat and stayed at the Baystar. We loved the house - so compfortable, lots of room, and very beautiful. Our favorite place seemed to be the large back porch with rocking chairs. Its only a short walk to the beach. Lots of species of birds to watch from the back. The owners were very easy to contact and deal with. We will definitely plan our next retreat at the Baystar.

What a wonderful time I and all my guest had this past weekend. I was able to celebrate my 60th birthday at the Baystar and enjoyed every minute. The house is beautiful and has every item you would have in your own home. The bedrooms were very nice and everyone slept well. The added golf cart and canoe is a nice bonus. Thank you and can't wait to visit again.
