Our home is located on 160 acres of river bottom on the banks of the blue ribbon trout stream, East Rosebud River, roughly 25 miles northwest of Red Lodge. The home has a large, modern kitchen, dining room, great room, family room, two large fire places, and five bedrooms. 5000 sq ft of log dream home with massive windows that bring the Beartooth Mountains front into the home.
Hrm...What to do while you are here. Fishing, hiking, backpacking, whitewater rafting, hunting, skiing depending on the season. Yellowstone Park, northeast entrance, is a world renown scenic 90 minute drive. For the skier, Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort is one of Montana's finest ski areas.
Cast for trout, Brown and Rainbow, from the yard in either our stocked swimmings ponds or live water casting in the East Rosebud or the nearby Stillwater river. Hiking or biking on the property up through the river bottom trails or from the numerous forest service trailheads in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness within minutes of the house. The river bottom is some of the best Whitetail Deer habitat in Montana. The property has many species of wildlife that call the river bottom home. Sandhill cranes, blue heron rookery, turkey, whitetail and mule deer, moose, beaver, and red fox are just a few of the wildlife you can expect to see daily on the property. The Neighborhood The property lies adjacent to the highest mountains in Montana in an area referred to as the “Beartooth Front” and the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, considered one of the most desirable and sought after regions of the state. This area is generally bounded by Red Lodge, Mt. and the Rock Creek Canyon on the east, and Nye, Mt. and the Stillwater Canyon on the west, with the massive Beartooth Plateau forming the southern boundary. The region boasts numerous small towns and villages such as Red Lodge and Absarokee on the more populated end, and Roscoe, Luther, Dean, Nye, and Fishtail on the sparsely populated end. |
