Enter unit 1904 of the Quay Condominium into the dinning area which opens into the living room. Exit out the sliders onto the balcony which overlooks south Ocean City which is lit up like a Christmas tree at night. Looking west is a magnificent view of the Chesapeake bay and to the east is the a limited view of the Ocean. The balcony does not directly face the Ocean, but hey, after being on the beach all day it's kind of nice to look out over the bay and the city!
The smaller bedroom contains a queen and twin bed, as does the Master bedroom which has a bathroom attached. There is a larger bathroom with tub and shower at the end of the hall. The kitchen is spacious with contemporary appliances. Ocean City is located on a narrow peninsula, so that if you are in a high rise on the north or south side you have a view of the city, the bay, and the ocean.

I retired after 33 years of carrying the mail and like to spend as much time as possible at Ocean City. I bought this unit in The Quay in 1995 and rent it out in the summer to pay for the property taxes. I value my guests and realize that it is you who make it possible for me to retain my unit. Why the Owner Chose The Quay
This was the place our family came to for summer vacations and I always wanted a place at the beach. I looked at other beaches but O.C. offered the most in the way of ....well, everything!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Most of the Condo's in O.C. are pretty nice but this one has both an indoor and outdoor pool as well as game rooms, reading/internet room, in house rental office & management office, and its' own little store. It is simply the best! I'm not an avid fisherman but I find that even I can always catch fish off the Oceanic Pier at the mouth of the bay where it enters the channel. $6 to use the pier but well worth it. I don't have much luck surf fishing. I enjoy just sitting on the beach with a good book or ice skating at the Carousel a few blocks down. I did a lot of body surfing in the past but I'm getting too old for that now.

The condo itself is fairly clean and has what looks like new appliances in the kitchen such as the refridgerator, dishwasher and stove. The utensils could use an update and could use more of. The place itself is fairly old and needs an update to the decor. But like I said, its kept clean. It is RIGHT on the beach which is awesome. The pools are pretty dirty so we spent our time on the beach. The condos are located near 107th street which is abput 20 minutes from the boardwalk. The best thing to do is pay a bus fare of $1 one way or $3 All day and ride the bus to the boardwalk. Traffic up there is impossible to manuver and parking harder to find. We enjoyed our stay just wished the condo was nicer compared to the Hyatt or some other hotel. BUT it is an older condo.
Owner response:I think your review is fair and honest, but the pools are usually clean and I think that the 4th of July must be the absolute peak usage of them and the sheer volume of users may have contributed to the problem. Yes, the building is older having been built in 1978, but we have done many interior renovations to try to keep it contemporary and cheerful, the last being done just a couple of years ago. Our lobby is smaller and can’t compare to a Hilton or Hyatt but then neither does the price of a suite with this many rooms & space. I would appreciate your suggestions ( billkrebs@hotmail.com ) as to what additional utensils I can supply or increase the number of. I can’t supply Teflon pans or pots anymore because they are ruined after just a few weeks. I agree that the bus is the best way to go to the boardwalk and back – very cheap and no parking worries or expense. I even use them in the off season when there is no traffic. Our family has stayed at this unit for several years. Each year gets better and better as the owner updated and adds new items to make for a more enjoyable stay. It's as if you get all the benifits of home on your vacation. The unit is always clean, and well stocked. And the view at night, can't think of a better word than WOW!!!! The building is very safe, we have no concerns about our grandchildren going to the game room on their own. The heated pool is sooooo wonderful. If you want a great OC rental, check this one out, we have stayed at several condos over the years, but this by far the best value.
