Do you want a "real" Mexican holiday, but with a safety net? If so, we may have the place for you. We are the Daw family - British dad and Mexican mum with a son of 7 and daughter of 5. Both of us have backgrounds in the Hospitality industry and we'd love to have you as our guests. We live in Las Playas, Acapulco, just 5 minutes away from John Wayne's famous "Los Flamingos" Hotel and an equal distance to La Quebrada, where the local cliff divers stun tourists every day with their death defying leaps.
We are lucky enough to own a very large property with stunning views of the Pacific, a 10 metre swimming pool, a "Palapa" (palm thatched shade), several areas to sit down and enjoy the tranquility and even a gym if you need it!
During your stay you will have the entire bottom half of this large property to yourselves. This includes a private balcony outside your bedroom where you can enjoy your breakfast, another downstairs "viewing area" with a seating area and bar, a 300 square meter patio including the pool, a home gymnasium and the Palapa where you can simply sit and take in the breathtaking view.

Deep Sea Fishing trips - we've never returned empty handed yet! Catches to date include Sailfish and Mahi Mahi and we've recently had some sightings of Sea Turtles.
Local market trips - The local markets can be fascinating and with a guide you can make sure you're getting a good deal on any purchases. Let one of us show you around so that you can enjoy the experience without getting sidetracked into "tourist only" areas.
Taxco Silver Trips - Taxco (Google it!) is a beautiful old silver mining town, 4 hours drive north of Acapulco. Either go just for the experience (tight cobbled streets,a colonial Cathedral and a very different feel from Acapulco) or shop til you drop and go home with silver for all the family. Let us take care of the transport for you and show you where to start when you get there.
Mexican home cookery courses - if you'd like to learn how to cook top quality Mexican food - where better to do it? Let us know and we'll organise a half day course, culminating in you eating your own creation that evening.
Beach trips - if you'd like to escape the crowds we can recommend some great local beaches nearby and will be happy to take you there too.
If you want two weeks in a 5 star hotel, sharing your vacation (and a pool) with hundreds of others, without actually seeing a Mexican - this is not for you.....if, however you'd like an affordable stay in a luxury home with a friendly and welcoming family - do get in touch. |
