Leland's a place where you and family can wander and explore without worry or care, and where pleasant surprises await. The nearest stop light is 25 miles away, and there's rarely need to use a car except to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes, the area's many award-winning Wineries or to explore neighboring coastal villages. The Michigan Scenic Highway (M-22) has dedicated bike lanes, and boat launching facilities for Lake Leelanau and Lake Michigan are nearby.
Your vacation home is on Main St, a block from sugar sand beaches, magical sunsets, and Leland's quaint downtown. The Leelanau Museum, Leelanau Cultural Center (performances, art shows and Summer classes for children and adults) and the Township Library (books, magazines, computers and a huge video library) are 100 yard away.
A newly renovated historic home (1,600+ sq.ft.) built in early 1900s, hardwood floors in the living/dining areas and carpet in the downstairs Master bedroom. Three upstairs bedrooms retain their updated historic charm and have new pillows and mattresses on each of 4 beds. Living room is furnished with a combination of antique wicker and contemporary leather and wood furniture, and bookshelves come fully stocked. Works by local artists and antique art are interesting and eclectic decor and the gardens in the back yard make contemplation and entertainment on the quiet deck a pleasure to behold.
Full size washer, dryer and utility sink make keeping up with family needs easy. Our aim is to provide a quality, no hassle, genuine small town vacation experience in a very special place: Leland.
