There's no place like it! The perfect place to enjoy Michigan's Winter Wonderland in the heart of Lapeer County, close enough to everything but far enough away to enjoy quiet evenings and beautiful stars!
The open loft overlooks woods and wildlife with a fantastic view of the lake and the sunrise. The short downhill walk is perfect for bird watchers or nature lovers and ends up an the beach of private Clear Lake, in the winter it's a great toboggan run. The lake is spring fed and crystal clear. We've had pike 4' and longer! Warm yourself in front of the massive stone fireplace or outdoor bonfire and relax in one of two spacious rooms on first floor. Both rooms sleep 4 comfortably with a bunk bed and futon in each. The loft has a queen bed with plenty of floor space for sleeping bags.
Secluded and tranquil setting, perfect for that weekend getaway or family reunion. And what better location for a small quite wedding and honeymoon than a story-book log home?
If you like wild game, the owner is a fantastic cook able to fry up your fresh catch from the lake.
Caretaker lives onsite and has separate entrance to basement apartment. Our guests enjoy our two 'outdoor' mascots, TwoSox (old black lab) and Target(be sure to ask Dave who named him!) our friendly black cat. Be sure to read our guests' comments. We'll see you soon!

Why the Owner Chose Lapeer
Our great love of the outdoors and wanting the privacy of the woods was what made us fall in love with this home. The log cabin is beautifully made and the view off the back deck is breathtaking, overlooking the private lake.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
I love the fact that this feels like a hunting lodge out in the Montana Hills. Sitting on the back deck watching the sunrise or enjoying the sunset from the boat is food for the soul. The quite, star filled nights in the summer and the warm glow of the fire in the winter make this home truly a gem of the county. Just remember to bring your bugspray for summer months!
