  We stayed in this Sandpiper Cove studio condo for 2 weeks. It was clean and very convenient to the pools and beach. We have rented condo's in Sandpiper Cove since 2001 (13 years) in all areas and sizes, studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, Beachwalk 1 bedrooms with hallway bunk beds. While this one was the smallest that we have rented, (one big room with a Murphy Bed and a Hide-a-bed couch) the lower price allowed us to stay 2 weeks instead of 1. The owners were great to work with and were readily available if we had any questions. Our deposit check was returned to us immediately.   My husband and I had a lovely time in this studio condominium. The pool was right outside the back door and the beach was a short walk across the street. The condo was very clean and the kitchen had lots of utensils allowing us to cook most of our meals - we did buy some charcoal and grill out one night! The owner answered our emails quickly and was very helpful. We hope to stay there again!

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  I moved in here March of 2012, and I stayed here for a year. I am a young teacher, I had just moved here from IL. It seemed nice at first, pretty cheap, but it was a big mistake. I will say from the beginning, DO NOT stay here, I would not recommend this to anyone. The owner was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The internet was not hooked up when I moved in. He told me many times it was. He purchased internet, but I had to search all over for the codes and call the company, and I actually hooked it up myself. His cookware was burnt to a crisp that you could not cook on them, the rugs were soiled a bit, but glued down to the floor! So I could not clean them! Also, there was no baseboard under the bathroom sink, which is located by the front door, and many cockroaches came in those first few days until I stuffed a towel under the sink. The closet doors were so old, they would fall off the hinges every time I touched them to get dressed, and the stairs outback are molded and the nails rusty, one stair snapped in half right when I moved in, no one would fix it so my Dad had to do it when he visited me in the summer! The heater/air conditioner worked but is so old, every time it comes on it makes an annoying clanking noise which made it hard for me, as a light sleeper, to even sleep. And I won't even mention what the mattress pad has on there, it is disgusting and had not been cleaned in a while, same with the blankets that had random dark hairs all over them (I'm blonde, they weren't from me!) I just moved out 2 weeks ago, and cleaned the place top to bottom, my mother actually came to help me, and he told us on the phone that it was very clean and agreed to send me my deposit back. 2 weeks later he, instead, CASHES my deposit that was 13 months old, and used the the rugs glued and pans dirty as the reason! Make sure you document what it looks like when you go in, he will try to charge you for things that you didn't do! While I lived there he was unprofessional, sending me spam e-mails, asking for amounts without sending me a bill, and he also made harassing comments about my profession and about my ethnicity ("you're Italian, you don't trust people") Also, he FORGOT to tell the guards that I was renewing in September, they would not let me in, it took him a few days to do so-good thing I was going out of town or I would have had no where to go! I would want someone to let me know about owners/ a place like this so that I could have a better experience somewhere else.

  The condo was just as pictured on the internet, tastefully decorated, clean, neat and comfortable. I liked the location of the studios-close to the beach and hot tubs. I also liked the location of Sandpiper Cove-close to Target and Winn Dixie. Destin is a beautiful place and I hope that we can make it back again.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

• Great Condo!

  We recently rented this condo. Great rates, decorated very cute. Very close to one of the pools, just a few feet from the back door of the unit. Very friendly owners, highly recommended ! We had everything we needed, even internet! Will be returning in the future!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

  The location of the studio unit was very user friendly accessing the beautiful beach and steps away from one of the many pools for this complex. The unit was very clean, well furnished and had all of the things to feel as though you were at home. I would certainly recommend this unit to anyone visiting Destin. The location is very convenient to the waterparks, putt-putt, Destin Harbor, several good restaurants including the excellent restaurant on the property and many other attractions in the area. The unit is also conveniently located near grocery stores and retail stores. The owner was very accomodating and a pleasure to rent from. Our family has been going to this area for several years and this is one of our favorite places to stay in the area. We rented this unit several times throughout the Summer of 2011 and would highly recommend it.
