We would like to thank everyone who booked with us during the 2011 season. We had several families return for their second or third visit as well as many new guests and friends. We also had some International visitors this year. Thanks again for a successful year. Now, it is November and it is not to early to make plans for next year, especially for Holiday periods. This is your opportunity to book a vacation in a Lake Access home on a quiet point with a nice lake view, access to a dock and ramp area and comes with a 24' Pontoon Boat for your lake enjoyment! This well landscaped, well furnished, Lake Access home is located on Elf Point on the North Carolina side of Lake Chatuge. This is an older home with native rock veneer outside but has been totally renovated on the inside. We had several guest comment that the pictures do not do the house justice, especially the inside, so we will be adding some new pics in early 2012.
It has two master bedroom suites and one other large bedroom. One master bedroom has a rock fireplace with gas logs, a king bed and a bath with jetted tub/shower. The other master bedroom has a king bed, sitting area and large bath with jetted tub/shower. The other bedroom has two double beds and a large bath with jetted tub. All bedrooms have TVs. The kitchen has all appliances with a washer and dryer. The kitchen has a nice lake view. The den has a single pull-out sofa, TV and an adjacent full bath with jetted tub/shower. The living room has a queen pull-out sofa, Large Screen TV and also has an adjacent large bath with jetted tub/shower.
There is a screened porch, with unobstructed lake view, located off the living room. The porch has a sitting group as well as a glass table with 6 dining chairs. There is a gas grill and a BBQ pit with charcoal grill adjacent to the porch. All rooms have individual zoned thermostats with heat and air. The home is nicely furnished with crown molding and many extras on the inside. Access to a private boat dock and ramp is located about 250 yards away. A 24’ pontoon boat is available if you are not bringing your own. Elf Point is a quiet community that is great for biking, walking or running, with a large wooded TVA forest on the end of the point.
Rates (in US dollars):
January - April 2012 - $150 per night (3 night minimum), $800 per week, discount available for multiple-week or monthly rental, Pontoon boat $200 for 3 days or per week. A $125 cleaning fee is applicable to 3 day or weekly bookings.
May - August 2012 - $200 per night (3 night minimum), $1,050 per week (utilities included). Discounts available for multiple-week rental. Pontoon boat $250 for 3 days or per week. A $125 cleaning fee is applicable to 3 day or weekly bookings.
September-December 2012 - $150 per night (3 night minimum), $800 per week, discount available for multiple-week or monthly rental. Pontoon boat $200 for 3 days or per week. A $125 cleaning fee is applicable to a 3 day or weekly stay.
A refundable security deposit in the amount of 20% of the total house rental plus the pontoon boat deposit, if applicable, IS REQUIRED TO HOLD THE RESERVATION and is due @ booking (First Deposit Received by Owner takes Preference, for the same date/dates). The full rental fee is due 5 days prior to arrival. Cleaning and pet fees are also due 5 days prior to arrival. The Pontoon boat will be full of fuel and oil but subsequent fill-ups are the responsibility of the user and the Pontoon must be left full of gas and oil.

This rental house has so much character and beautifully decorated. If you have enough energy at the end of the day…any of the Jacuzzi tubs are very welcoming. Very quiet and cozy environment…lots of wild life too. The pontoon boat was a huge bonus. We had eight people…both the house and boat were comfortable, a bit tight sometimes...would caution more than eight. Would rent again.

We spent week of July 4th here. This property was absolutely beautiful. Nothing could beat the price when you include the pontoon. We will absolutely be back! Can't wait... This is our fourth rental from VRBO and have to each were very nice, but this was the overall best.

WE HAVE RENTED HOMES FROM WEST VIRGINIA AND ALL OVER NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA AND NEVER HAVE WE HAD ACCOMMODATIONS SO NICE. THIS HOME WILL MAKE ANYONE THAT HAS THE THE GOOD FORTUNE TO SPEND ANY TIME HERE FEEL THAT THEY SPENT THERE MONEY ON THE RIGHT PLACE. THEN FACTOR IN THE BOAT AND THAT IS THE WOW FACTOR YOU LOOK FOR IN A VACATION. WE WERE SO FORTUNATE TO FINE THIS LOCATION AND WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE RECOMMENDING IT FOR A RELAXING AND WONDERFUL VACATION.

This was exactly what we all needed! Wonderful mountain weather all week! Some storms but mostly sunshine and good times. We all enjoyed navigating the lake in the pontoon boat.
