THIS HOUSE, located on Elf Point is your opportunity to book a vacation in a Lake Access home on a quiet point with a nice lake view, access to a dock and ramp area and comes with a Pontoon Boat for your lake enjoyment! This well landscaped, well furnished, Lake Access home is located on Elf Point on the North Carolina side of Lake Chatuge. This is an older home with native rock veneer outside but has been totally renovated on the inside. Guests have commented that the pictures do not do the house justice, especially the inside, so we have added some new pics. It has two master bedroom suites and one other large bedroom. One master bedroom has a rock fireplace with gas logs, a king bed and a bath with jetted tub/shower. The other master bedroom has a king bed, sitting area and large bath with jetted tub/shower. The third bedroom has two double beds and a large bath with jetted tub. All bedrooms have TVs. The kitchen has all appliances with a washer and dryer. The kitchen has a nice lake view. The den has a single pull-out sofa, TV and an adjacent full bath with jetted tub/shower. The living room has a queen pull-out sofa (new pull-out queen and recliner were just added to this room), Large Screen TV and also has an adjacent large bath with jetted tub/shower.
There is a screened porch, with unobstructed lake view, located off the living room. The porch has a sitting group as well as a glass table with 6 dining chairs. There is a gas grill and a BBQ pit with charcoal grill adjacent to the porch. All rooms have individual zoned thermostats with heat and air. The home is nicely furnished with crown molding and many extras on the inside. Access to a private boat dock and ramp is located about 250 yards away. A Pontoon Boat is included in the rental. Elf Point is a quiet community that is great for biking, walking or running, with a large wooded TVA forest on the end of the point.
Rates (in US dollars):
April - November 2013 - Three Night Stay is $900 including Pontoon Boat; Weekly rate is $1,400 including Pontoon Boat. A $150 cleaning fee is applicable to 3 day or weekly bookings. Early and Late Season discounts are provided periodically based on demand. Please check the web site frequently for specials.
A refundable security deposit in the amount of 20% of the house rental IS REQUIRED TO HOLD THE RESERVATION and is due @ booking (First Deposit Received by Owner takes Preference, for the same date/dates). The full rental fee is due 5 days prior to arrival. Cleaning and pet fees are also due 5 days prior to arrival. The Pontoon boat will be full of fuel and oil but subsequent fill-ups are the responsibility of the user and the Pontoon must be left full of gas and oil.

We stayed 7 nights at this lovely home. It is very quiet. The lake is wonderful. The use of the pontoon boat was certainly a big plus. The rooms are very comfortable. We had two adult couples and one teenager. We all had our own TV's and our own jacuzzi. We played ping pong, and took nice walks watching birds and the beautiful leaves. Hiawassee, GA is 20 minutes away. Cute shops to go through. Franklin, NC 30 minutes away. More cute shops. Helen, GA 45 minutes away. Again, cute shops to go through. The back porch faces part of the lake and is a wonderful place to just watch the birds and drink coffee. Grilled steaks and hamburgers on grill. Mr. Hood was available with a phone call. We brought our two Yorkies, they loved it also. We will definitely be returning.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

The house was very accomodating - the bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were great. The pontoon boat and the ping pong table made for hours of fun and activity (the kids didn't worry too much about not having their electronic devices). The covered porch was great for evening meals, card games, and scattergories!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Our stay was very enjoyable, although early in the spring, the weather was great! The 4 of us had plenty of room to roam in the clean, spacious home. The bedrooms and bathrooms were awesome, everything was tastefully furnished and decorated! It was nice having the option of 2 patios, one screened overlooking the lake, the other with ping pong and comfortable seating. The pontoon was wonderful for exploring the large Lake Chatuge. The guys loved it for fishing, as well as cruising. We also took our mountain bikes and kayaks, the area worked well for both. The owners were always a call away, but we never needed a thing! We look forward to going back, and have recommended this home to friends & family. This rental house has so much character and beautifully decorated. If you have enough energy at the end of the day…any of the Jacuzzi tubs are very welcoming. Very quiet and cozy environment…lots of wild life too. The pontoon boat was a huge bonus. We had eight people…both the house and boat were comfortable, a bit tight sometimes...would caution more than eight. Would rent again.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We spent week of July 4th here. This property was absolutely beautiful. Nothing could beat the price when you include the pontoon. We will absolutely be back! Can't wait... This is our fourth rental from VRBO and have to each were very nice, but this was the overall best.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

WE HAVE RENTED HOMES FROM WEST VIRGINIA AND ALL OVER NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA AND NEVER HAVE WE HAD ACCOMMODATIONS SO NICE. THIS HOME WILL MAKE ANYONE THAT HAS THE THE GOOD FORTUNE TO SPEND ANY TIME HERE FEEL THAT THEY SPENT THERE MONEY ON THE RIGHT PLACE. THEN FACTOR IN THE BOAT AND THAT IS THE WOW FACTOR YOU LOOK FOR IN A VACATION.
