Enjoy the breeze coming off Lake Macatawa from the front porch. This is a great place to get away without being away from the fun. Our cottage is located only 1 mile from the Holland State Park and just a short bike ride away from ice cream shops and the local general store. If you're thinking about bringing the boat, we have plenty of parking and we're across the street from the public boat launch on Lake Macatawa (which connects to Lake Michigan).
Out on the back deck we have a gas grill and plenty of seating for a relaxing evening of cooking out with the family. If you enjoy riding bikes there are miles and miles of paved bike paths that take you to many locations. Save a few dollars by not having to rent a bike, we have a couple bikes if you need to borrow them instead of taking your own.
This 2 bedroom cottage has a relaxing beach theme. We put in a new bathroom during the summer of 2008, which has turned out beautiful! The yard is large with trees boarding the property. There are homes around, but they are difficult to see through the trees. You may bring a tent and camp outside next to the fire pit during your stay if you'd like. Have the best of both worlds. The relaxation of a cottage, but the ability to camp out if you want to sleep under the stars.
If you would like to see where we are located, our address is 1833 Ottawa Beach Rd. Holland MI. 49424. We are on the corner of Bower and Ottawa Beach road.
Have a great summer!

Location could not be better! Ever since moving to Colorado over 11 years ago, I always look forward to a week back home during the summer to enjoy the AWESOME beaches in the Holland/Saugatuck area. Having the bike path available for the family to ride to the beach was perfect! Having the air conditioning was awesome too (you forget how humid it is back there so quickly)! Thanks for the opportunity to stay at your cottage - we hope to come back again soon.

My family of four loved our vacation at this cottage. Definitely, an excellent deal. We liked being able to bike easily to the beach (easy even for our 8-year-old) and the wider Holland area had lots for us to do--swimming, biking, dining downtown, go-carts and bumper boats at Craig's Cruisers, plus quick side trips to Saugatuck's quaint shops and the Michigan's Adventure theme park 45 minutes away up in Muskegon. The cottage had no unpleasant surprises like you might find with similar bargains. We recommend it.

My family and I was renting this home in March during tulips time. This was wonderful time for all of us.Home is very clean and very welcoming. Not far from the water and from town. We have a great time and planning to come back some time.

We thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing week here in July 2010, visiting our home town, Holland. The cottage was very comfortable for my husband and me. His sister joined us for a couple nights and she owns several rental properties in N. Michigan and Canada. We all felt the cottage was well equipped. The bicycles were a huge bonus! I rode twice a day and enjoyed the scenic bike trails in the area and also avoided all the traffic to get to the state park very easily. Climbed Mt. Pisgah a few times per your suggestion.. very nice! Thank you also for your very courteous service during the planning stages and while we were there.
