My wife and I scour through the VRBO listings when planning our travel - and we truly discovered a gem in this property. It's within very reasonable walking distance to the downtown attractions (we were in town for an event at the Pepsi Center) - and it's in a vibrant neighborhood with great coffee shops, bars & restaurants. The house itself is fantastic - the kitchen is fully equipped for making your own meals - with top of the line appliances, all the dishes, pots, pans, serving ware you could need. The bedroom (and the house in general) is very quiet and comfortable - a terrific getaway!

This house was a wonderful retreat to return to after a day of exploring the sights of Denver. The photos in the description do not do the property full justice.... it was much nicer than even the photos described. The house was setup perfectly for vacationers. It was very clean. It was perfectly located. We were able to ride our bikes into downtown, along the Platte River, and to visit the aquarium, children's museum, and Broncos stadium. We enjoyed the unusually warm afternoons on the patios at the end of the day drinking cocktails while our children played in front. There are several great restaurants in the area to dine in or take out... all within easy walking distance, even for our 4-yr old. The manager was very helpful in getting us setup and making sure all our needs were met. We had a great visit and we will be back again! Thank you Bill and John!!!

We loved, loved, loved this property! Close to everything and easy access to all major hiways. Had every amenity we could have asked for except one, but we talked to the landlord about it and I am sure they will be adding music to the house soon. Landlords very easy to work with. We will be back Had some of the best food we have ever eaten in the Highland neighborhood. Lohi steak house, Highland Tap and Burger and Root Down. The Masterpiece deli has great breakfast too.

We had 4 weeks at this beautiful home! We even cooked our Thanksgiving dinner there. It had everything you could possibly want and the owners were exceptionally attentive. The listing shows the rooms well except it was even roomier than I expected. The home was very clean and was cleaned for us 2 times during our stay. The neighborhood is great for walking to lots of good restaurants and coffee shops that I already miss. I can't recommend this place enough. I will certainly be back and will tell all of my friends and relatives about it as well. Just leave some space in the schedule for our frequent returns. Thanks again to the owners!

We had such a great experience staying at this home while we were visiting friends in Denver. The owner Bill was so easy to work with and John was very helpful too. The location was great and within walking distance to several restaurants and we LOVED the ice cream shop and park right down the street. Everything was so convenient and did not have to drive everywhere. We always seemed to get lucky with the off street parking we never even needed to park in the driveway. The home is really well taken care of and very cool decor and art work. Spacious upstairs and downstairs and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Thank you so much Bill for opening up your home to enjoy on our vacation, we will definitely keep your home in mind for our next visit.

July 13, 2011 found us back in Denver to visit our son, and then later, explore new territory outside of Denver. We crossed our fingers that this home , one that we had rented during the Thanksgiving holiday, in 2010, would be available for our July dates. We got lucky- it was ! Once again, we found this home welcoming, and perfect for our travel needs. This time of year, summer, we needed air conditioning, and the a/c worked beautifully. This home is a treasure to admire, enjoy, and take good care of ,when you are lucky enough to rent it. We definitely hope to rent it again on our next trip to Colorado. The owners set the most welcoming tone from your first contact with them !

We flew from the East coast to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with our son, who now lives in Denver. It was our good fortune to rent this very lovely home in the Highlands. Everything about it was warm and welcoming, not the least of which was one of the owners who personally helped us in numerous ways. The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are attractive and well appointed. The kitchen is so spacious and generously equipped that you may decide to not eat out. We equally enjoyed the warmth, light and comforts of the ample and beautifully furnished living room. The home was clean and pleasing to our eyes the minute we entered. It was an additional jewel to discover that the neighborhood itself has many very good places to eat and shop. Hopefully our next trip to Denver will find us back at this very spot.

Let's just say my girlfriend and I were ready to move in. This place is gorgeous and so tastefully decorated. The location is awesome. The street is quiet yet so close to so many cool spots in the ultra hip Highland's neighborhood. The photos really don't do it justice. Future renters, all we ask is that you take good care of this special place because we are definitely coming back. The owners were very helpful and very accessable.

We really enjoyed our stay in Denver. This property is in great condition and is located within walking distance of many of Denver's best attractions. A great home base for sporting events at Coors Field, Pepsi Center, or Mile High. Also, be sure to rent bikes at the 16th street Mall and checkout the bike trail on the Platte River. This property is a great value.

We spent a snowy weekend in February visiting our son and thoroughly enjoyed the amenties of this beautifully renovated 1896 home. The floorplan and thoughtful furnishings made this place cozy and enjoyable when we weren't out walking the neighborhood and discovering easily-accessible downtown attractions. We will be back!

We want to commend you for the wonderful "home away from home." It is beautifully decorated and there is not one amenity missing….down to the fresh flowers! We love the close proximity to Denver. The walking paths and foot bridges are "alive" on the weekends with families, pets and bicycling enthusiasts. And let’s not forget superb restaurants (loved La Loma Mexican Restaurant) and coffee houses within a few blocks! We will definitely schedule another stay.

My family and I stayed the end of June into July. I can't say enough about this house and the location. My daughter had a week-long softball tournament and played at many different venues - this was central to everywhere we went. This trip also served as our vacation and there was plenty to do close by - aquarium, zoo, amusement park, aside from trips to the Rockies, Estes Park and Red Rocks - it was great! The owner is more than helpful and willing to meet your needs. You have to go to the ice cream place down the street. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

I live in Denver and I had friends visit from London. We stayed here for a week and it was the perfect home. The beds are nice and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The location is amazing, the walk bridge is a few blocks away and you can access the 16th street mall free shuttle ride from Union Station. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. My friends plan on staying here again when they come back to visit if it's available. I would recommend this to any of my friends and family.

I stayed in this place during the Denver Gem and Mineral show in September. The place is really nice on the inside. Everything has just been redone and they did a great job. I have a lot of nice things to say about the place and I swear I don't know these people except for renting the house. I am not lying when I say that everyone that walked into the place in one form or another said how nice the place was. The location is so perfect. Walk to all types of food, bars, liquor store, shops... There are great views of downtown from all over the neighborhood. The kitchen is awesome. The beds are comfortable. I left thousands of dollars worth of crystals in the house during the day and felt safe about it. The landlords seem like good people and made us feel welcome and it felt like it was our space for the time. We had dinner guests and some people over and it was comfortable for all. And in the end we got our whole deposit back which is great since a lot of people out there find whatever reason to keep some. And at the price they charge it is a better deal than hotel suites that are way smaller. I plan on renting again next year if it is still available.
