This beautifully furnished 2467 square foot, 2BR/3BA condo is located on the golden sands of Mazatlan's 3.5 mile long Cerritos beach and within a 10 acre, 24 hour secured and beautifully landscaped compound that, on the street side, includes gardens, fountains, a saltwater river and waterfall and a lighted world class tennis court with club house.
Before you enter the card secured elevator that will deliver you directly to the interior of your rental condo, stroll through the common areas on the ground floor. The furnishings and artwork are impeccable, the gym, locker rooms, men's and women's sauna and steam rooms are first class, as are the lounge, cava bar and massage room. You are on Mexican time, so before going up to your condo, visit the indoor heated pool with swimming treadmill and take notice of the quality of the loungers around the main pool. If you venture a few feet further you will be in the Palapa bar, and you will meet its main feature, Jaime (“Jimmy”) our internationally famous and much beloved bartender. Jaime's drinks and Chef Marco's breakfasts and lunches are delicious and inexpensive.
Wave your electronic card at the elevator console and the next thing you know you will be behind the stout steel gate of your entrance way. Outside your gate is the stairway and public elevator. After opening the front door you will immediately be struck by the spaciousness of the entrance hall, living room, dining room and kitchen and the quality of the furnishings. Before exploring what is inside your new temporary home, you will be curious about the view through the elegant bay windows of the living room, so raise the blackout blinds and shear curtains.
Wow, the ocean is just outside and in the foreground is the infinity pool. You can step out onto your balcony and feel the fresh air that has been scrubbed by 4,000 miles of ocean. This is a place where you can spend some time enjoying morning coffee or a late light supper, using the wireless internet, or just watching the squadrons of Pelicans and Frigate birds. When you are inside, if you want fresh air and no bugs, leave the windows and patio doors open and draw retractable “invisible” window and door screens.
Back inside you can appreciate the elegant furnishings and the clean lines of the decor. A dining table with seating for ten, six bar stools at the granite counter that separates the kitchen from the living/dining area , plenty of comfortable seating in the living room. And, behind the granite counter are totally modern high end stainless steel appliances, and all of the appurtenances for preparing a gourmet meal or a simple snack. An important feature of this kitchen is the built in water filtration and UV sterilization.
One thing that you will also notice is that the 52 inch wall mounted LCD TV with satellite and DVD and Play Station III is visible from both the kitchen and the living room. A Yamaha receiver with Bose speakers provides you with great surround sound and you can also plug in your iPod or Blu-Ray. Wireless phones in all rooms can be taken to the pool area where they will work fine.
At some point you are going to need to sleep. There are king sized beds in the master and second bedroom. The third bedroom is locked off and contains personal property of the owner. The bed linens and towels and pool towels are all high quality and there is plenty of drawer and closet space for your clothes and personal items. There are 26” wall mounted flat screen TV in all bedrooms.
The condo also has a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer and iron and complimentary weekly house keeping (not including clothes washing or dishes).
If you arrive by car, you will have a parking space within the secured compound and if you do not have a car you will find convenient bus or taxi transportation just outside of the main entrance gate.
If you are fisherman you are in luck! The owner is personally connected with the local fishing industry and can arrange a great charter. Red Snapper and Croakers can be caught easily from the beach in front of the condominium. Two large gas BBQs are available to you for outdoor cooking.
In summary, this unit provides everything you need in a home base for a great and relaxing stay in Mazatlan and as an added bonus you have the size benefits of a 3BR condominium for the price of a two bedroom!
