You have arrived when you stay in this Silver Shells 2 bed/2 bath unit with its rich colors and West Indies decor. Plan for comfort as you enjoy the well-appointed great room, the king master, 2 twin beds and queen sleeper sofa and large well-equipped kitchen. The master suite boasts of a jetted Jacuzzi tub, large walk in shower and double sinks. With free WiFi in the unit, you will not want to leave except for the 1100 feet white sand beach or the lagoon pool or maybe a walk to the spa for a massage or a run to the state of the art cardio/fitness centers or a stroll over to the children’s play area. You don’t have to leave Silver Shells Resort to have a complete vacation full of activity.
If you do leave the grounds, Big Kahuna’s Water Park and The Track Recreation Center are just down the road for the younger set. In "The World's Luckies Little Fishing Village" there are sport fishing trips, glass bottom boats, fishing, parasailing, kayaking and sailing to add to the agenda. A visit to the Habor Village is a must in Destin. Also be sure to bring the golf clubs because you will find numerous world class golf courses for your enjoyment.
When you are hungry, it is a short walk to the Back Porch and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Right across the street are restaurants such as Jim 'N Nicks Bar-B-Q, Hooter’s, Sago and Landry’s Seafood Restaurant. You may want to catch a bite at the Tiki Hut on the grounds which will serve food and drinks while you sun on the beach or at the pool. Destin is known for a multitude of restaurants from fine dining to local dives. If you would rather eat in, Fresh Market, Publix, Winn Dixie and Wal Mart are close by.
A trip to Destin wouldn’t be complete without a shopping adventure. Destin Commons boasts of shops such as Bass Pro Shop, Black and White, Build a Bear, Cache, Hard Rock Cafe and Belks. Stop in at the theater or one of the many restaurants while on your visit. Don’t forget the Silver Sands Outlet Mall which is over 100 world class shops with Dana Buchman, Brooks Brothers, Michael Kors, Cole Hahn, Waterford, J Crew, Banana Republic, Coach, Gap just to name a few.
