Exclusive, 1 BR Guest House Overlooking Vineyard
Year Purchased: 2002
Why the Owner Chose Oliver
We built our Guesthouse over looking our Vineyard because the view of the South Okanagan and Vineyard is spectacular.
The Unique Benefits at this House
You can walk in the Vineyard and actually experience the calming energy that is exuded from the Vines. It calms your body and the mind..You can also hike the deer trails and sit and mediate at one of our two meditation benches. The view from that space is magnificent.

Hello Future Guests,
Welcome to our world!
We purchased our property and Vineyard in 2002. We upgraded our 6 acres of vines and remodeled the "big house " in 2005 and added the Guesthouse in 2008.
We like the South Western look as well as a Tuscan flavor so our buildings all reflect the warmth and color of that decor.
We both worked in the Airline Industry until we retired in 2004 and know a bit about hospitality, a warm welcome and what good accommodation is! Come and join us. We want to meet you!
Rob & Rilla

We spent Thanksgiving week at Sonora Pines and had a fantastic time. The kitchen was first rate and the breakfast fixings in the fridge were greatly appreciated. The deck overlooks their vineyard and provides a great view of the valley. We were there during harvest season and Rob readily shared his knowledge and insight of the industry. The guest house was our base for a wine tour that started with Hidden Chappel Winery next door and ranged through Summerland, the Naramata Bench and the Oliver / Osoyoos area. We enjoyed many restaurants in the area but also made good use of the barbecue on the deck. Rob and Rilla are gracious hosts and the guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. We would definitely return and have recommended Sonora Pines to family and friends. Thanks Rob and Rilla!

We stayed with Rilla and Robin for an amazing 7 nights. They truly have thought of everything! After our accident this just what we needed. I enjoyed the Epsom salts that soothed away the aches and pains. The deck chairs were sometimes too comfortable to leave. The views over the valley were awesome. Can we move in permanently?

We just got back from a 10 day stay at the guest house. It was fabulous, and we highly recommend it! We appreciated being able to bring our cat here. The kitchen is well stocked with breakfast items and wine and cheese on arrival, plus a DVD library to enjoy. Robin & Rilla have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, and are great hosts. Having morning coffee on the patio overlooking the vineyard is amazing! The place is very quiet and private - only the sounds of the highway off in the distance and the occasional farm tractor, which is nice to see how a vineyard is operated. I also recommend going to the Hidden Chapel winery next door - the owners are really nice and the wine is really good! Our annual wine fridge stocking mission is complete!
Owner response:Thanks Linda It was our pleasure. We hope to see you back soon. Rilla & Robin

We just escaped the City for a couple of wonderfull nights at Sonora Pines Estates. Purpose built for guests, the host and hostess make you feel welcome form the moment you arrive. While only one bedroom, the house is extremely spacious and well equipped. Covered veranda for those hot days. The whole valley is easliy viewed from every window. Amazing sounds from the wildlife nearby. Great value. Hope to make this a repeat stay in the future.

We recently returned from a 10 day stay in this marvellous guesthouse. We loved it! There was plenty of room and what a view! We also so much appreciated how welcome our pup was. Rob and Rilla are absolutely wonderful hosts! Not only did we feel pampered but also learned a lot about winemaking and the industry as a whole. We would highly recommed this fabulous property as the perfect getaway for 2 (and if you have a pup, he/she will have a wonderful holiday too!) Thanks Rob and Rilla! We stayed at Sonora Pines for our honeymoon for 5 nights. The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful, and was perfect for the two of us. The area is amazing, with desert, lakes, wineries, and beaches. Thank you so much for having us. We will definitely be back! (Maybe next year for our anniversary).

This guesthouse was easy to get to from Vancouver. It was an exceptionally clean space with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was very private, but the owners were available if we needed anything. We were welcomed as friends and learned about the region, the vineyards, and the wine from our hosts. I would love to visit again and again and will suggest it to anyone headed to the Okanagan. Thank you Rob and Rilla!!

This is a beautiful guest house for your vacation. We absolutely love it! We've been back many times. Everything you need is in this guest house overlooking the vineyard. It is a very romantic getaway for any age. There is so much to do in Oliver and area. Besides all the wineries, it has great biking trails or walk/hike. My husband loves the golf course. The restaurants are good, but I like to stay in and cook in the guest house, why leave the gorgeous view on the deck? Rilla and Rob are amazing hosts. They make you feel very special with all the treats they leave for you. Can't wait to return, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Linda and MIchael

Dear Rob & Rilla, Our stay at your lovely guest house was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, cozy and extremely comfortable, all our work stresses disappeared. The thoughtful extra touches; goodies from the local bakery, the candles, and the welcoming wine and cheese made us feel pampered and cared for. We loved our mornings and evenings on the very private deck, watching the families of quail head out to the vineyard, and making friends with the hummingbird that visited every day. We will definitely recommend your location to our friends and family, and we hope to visit again ourselves very soon. Take care! Chuck & Donna Wingenbach
