Relax in our 5 bedroom, 3½ bath home, with private boat dock and incredible views of Smith Lake we have everything your looking for in a lakefront vacation.
The great room features new furniture for the 2012 season, a soaring ceiling, a floor to ceiling fire place with an open floor plan to a beautiful kitchen with granite counter tops, and top of the line stainless appliances and dining area overlooking expansive views of Smith Lake. Just off the main living area is a large master suite complete with King size bed, a private screened in porch, and bathroom with jetted tub and tiled shower.
Upstairs on the top level of this 3 story home are 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom. The first is a queen bedroom and the second has a full size bed and full size convertible sleeper and adjoins a fun loft play area with baby bed, and an additional twin and futon provided for your convenience.
Lower Level you’ll find two more bedrooms with Queen beds, a full bath and a large rec room with updated furniture, and lots of games.
Grill up some steaks on the large gas grill, or gather around the fire pit for hot dogs and s’mores. When its time to go fishing or swimming head down to the lake to your very own new boat dock and swim pier on one of the South’s cleanest lakes.
Whether for the private boat dock for summertime fun, or the floor to ceiling rock fireplace and large outdoor firepit overlooking the lake in the winter or summer, this will be on your short list for must visits every year.
Located near Arley and Duncan Bridge Southern Serenity is conveniently located just 20 minutes North of Jasper, 1 hour N/W of Birmingham, 1.5 hours South of Huntsville and 25 minutes west of Cullman.

My family and a few friends enjoyed this beautiful home. wonderful setting overlooking the lake made for awesome sunsets around the firepit. a very quiet neighborhood, yet close enough to grocery shop, get gas, etc .... would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area. Will be back in 2 years when Texas A&M plays Alabama again.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.

We made the switch from cleanest beach on the Gulf to this beautiful, beautiful lake! We rented a pontoon boat for our stay and we spent most of our waking hours in or on the lake. The house was beyond our expectations. So roomy and the "man cave" w/ 2 bedrooms and a bath in the basement walk-out won our grandsons. The owner was super helpful. Plus the house cleaner stopped by to introduce herself and offer suggestions for off lake times. This was one of our most relaxing family trips to date. Families...take notice...this house is made for you.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I rented this home for my out of town family (which totalled a dozen people). They absolutely loved it and said it was "perfect". It was clean and well maintained and they loved the big firepit down by the lake. They found every thing they needed on hand and are hoping (unfortunately for the owner) that they can come back again next year! Truly was an enjoyable stay.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Our family spent spring break at this lake house and had a wonderful time. The pictures were accurate, but the house is even better than the pictures can show. The owners were great to work with, supplying area information and answering questions promptly. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the house, used the fire pit twice and fished off the private dock. We actually loved that it was in a quiet country area as it felt secluded and private. Loved the extra touches such as the hammock, swing, games & puzzles. The screened-in porch off the master is a little haven where you can read or relax in privacy.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Thanksgiving family get together with 13 people ranging in age from 2 years to over 70 with small dog. Traveling from 3 different states, we were all very glad to finally arrive and a great time was had by all. The house is nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. Pics do not do it justice. With three different levels, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out especially since it rained nearly most of the time. The fire pit was perfect for making s'mores on a cool November night. Owners were very helpful, accomodating and easy to do business with. This property comes highly recommended.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives, and I have already done so. Our family spent an entire month at this home and loved every day! The interior is not as fancy as others we have rented, but the abundance of space and utility more than made up for that! Waters around the dock were always calm, but close enough to main channel for quick ski runs. Only 10 minutes away from downtown Arley (groceries & ethanol free gas). I would love to be back.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Great location on what is said to be the third cleanest lake in the United States. Year round dock-able water. 1 hour north of Birmingham 1 hour south of Huntsville and only minutes outside Arley.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Quiet but 2 miles to the town of Arley. Dollar General, Grocery Store, 3 gas stations, a few churches, library, high school and several restaurants. Protected bay just off main channel on year round water. Electric to the dock for night time fun. Large home with 5 bedrooms and 3 levels so you don't have to be cramped in during your stay. The fire-pit with bench seating is one of my favorite things. Only a few miles away from Duncan Bridge and the boat rentals there.
