Away from the busyness of highway traffic, our spacious 2300 square foot cabin is located in the beautiful Sierra community of Cold Springs. Just a short drive of seven minutes to Pinecrest Lake or 15 minutes to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, this 3 bedroom cabin is perfect for family recreation, relaxation and memory-making. The cabin sits at the end of a cul-de-sac which gives an atmosphere of privacy and tranquility surrounded by evergreen trees--as well as easy parking.
Fully modern but surrounded by knotty pine, the kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven, microwave, garbage disposal, blender, coffee-maker and every utensil you could want. The adjacent dining room seats ten, and the large picture windows in both the dining and living rooms open up to the picturesque valley to the ski runs of Dodge Ridge. You will find ceiling fans throughout the cabin and central heat for winter use.
The three bedrooms have a total of three queen beds and six twin (bunk) beds. The downstairs game room has a ping pong table, air hockey table and a game table. There are two TV's with VCR and DVD players and literally hundreds of movies and shows to choose from. There is also a library of about 500 books.
The main deck (there are four decks total) has a large picnic table with a gas BBQ. Enjoy a getaway in the beautiful Sierras where the recreational opportunities are endless: scenic hikes, lake fishing and swimming, snow skiing and boarding at Dodge Ridge, and to top off the day, an outdoor ampitheatre for first run movies.

This was our second visit. We stayed here 3 years ago (see last review). My family (kids ages 11 and almost 13), my sister's family (kids ages 6 and 9) and my mom and dad stayed at this wonderful cabin to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. There was plenty of space for everyone--we never felt crowded. The kids still love the excellent game room on the bottom floor. Many rounds of air hockey and ping pong were played. Unlike a hotel, we didn't have to hush the kids when they were having a good time. The adults had a great time catching up and relaxing. We cooked all our meals in the cabin which had a well stocked kitchen. We also BBQ'ed one night on the gas grill on the deck. The best part of the trip was the kids' fishing trip with their Grandpa at Pinecrest Lake (which is minutes away) All four kids caught a fish! We also had a beautiful hike around the lake on our first day. Now, I just need to figure out when we can visit in the summer! The owner is very prompt in replying to any questions that I had and instructions for opening and closing the cabin were clear.

This is a great cabin. It has beautiful, post card views. Plenty of room, plenty of blankets. Spending the entire night in the game room with all my friends was definately my favorite part. Couldn't wait to go back.

We had such an awesome time at this cabin. It has everything you need and more. This cabin is beautiful inside and out. The game room was a blast, so many different board games to choose from, the kids were on cloud 9. The location was perfect as well, being that its on a court so there are is no traffic at all near the cabin and it is close to area snow parks and stores. To top off our stay at the cabin, it snowed on our last day there...it was so pretty. I could go on and on about our wonderful experience but I think you should stay there and find out for yourself how awesome this cabin is. We can't wait to stay there again. Thanks Tony!

This cabin is family friendly! In our group there were two babies and a preschooler. Everyone had a great time. The cabin is perfect for large groups who want to have fun. The ping pong table and air hockey makes for hours of fun. The way the bedrooms are spearated allowed for naptimes without the adults having to be quiet. We loved it and plan to go back year after year!

This was one of the best times we have had in quite some time. This cabin is beautiful and has everything you could want. We arrived Feb. 16th, during a snow storm and boy did it snow. We didn't venture out the first two days because of the weather but that was o.k. There was plenty of things for the kids to do, play games, watch movies and play in the several feet of snow we received. How many places can you tell your kids to go play in the street? Not many. But here, because of the cabins location, I felt great joy in telling my 3 yr. old and 7 yr. old to do just that. We look forward to many more visits to this cabin.

Wow- This cabin is a must see stay. The cabin has everything right at your fingertips. From beautiful views, to comfort and fun our family enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cabin is located in a court which makes it nice for privacy and fun when it is snowing to play in the snow. The living room and kitchen area is spacious and the rooms provide comfort throughout the cabin. Especially the downstairs gameroom my daughters really enjoyed the selection of games that they had. My family loved the cabin and would like to start a new tradition of returning to create more memories. I would reccommend this cabin to all families or couples who are looking for a nice comfortable getaway. This is more than you can ask for. The owner and cabin is very well detailed and organized.

We just returned from a wonderful weekend stay at this cabin. My parents would take my sister and me to Pinecrest every year. We had not been in many years, and I thought it would be fun for our kids to see Pinecrest. My husband and I with our kids (ages 9 and 8) took my parents (in their 70's) and my sister and her husband and their two kids (ages 3 1/2 and 6). We all had the best weekend. The cabin has every convenience you could want. The biggest hit with the kids was the HUGE gameroom/kids room which was downstairs. It allowed the adults to have a conversation, and the kids had a blast playing ping pong and air hockey. Tons of games, legos, puzzles---they didn't even touch the toys they brought. The cabin is also very child safe. We hiked around Pinecrest Lake with the kids which was fun. We were also treated to snow when we woke up the next morning! Just a light dusting, but so beautiful. Everyone was so happy with my choice of cabins. This is such a beautiful spot, you can't go wrong by staying here. We are all looking forward to returning to this cabin, lots of space and great for a multi-generational family getaway.
